Sorry to be so offtopic but does anyone know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot my password. I love any tricks you can offer me

If anyone else is like me and watching this video to repair their old 2000 Nissan Pathfinder, the bolts needed for the puller are m6-1.0 x about 75mm. You'll likely need to buy some washers also. I got mine at Lowe's.

Very well-done video. I have a few observations but keep in mind I was working on a 2nd gen Xterra so there were some suttle differences, some may or may not apply to the 1st gens. I had a drain plug on the bottom of my radiator accessed by removing the splash guard. I did not need to do anything with my air intake and lastly, the 2nd gen has a bleeder screw on the intake under the throttle cables for bleeding. Other than that, my bolt on components were a little differently positioned but still utilized the same methods to tighten. Figured this might help some gen 2 guys as there wasn't much out there for gen 2, not as good as this one anyway. UPDATE: Almost forgot most important! GEN 2 requires (2) 6mm x 1.0pitch x 75mm or higher. HOWEVER, I found it easier to use 6 x 1.0 x75 threaded rod (True Value Hardware) to make studs to put the puller on then lock on with washers and whizz nuts. I have carpal tunnel and had a hard time starting the bolts while holding the puller.

Is the timing mark important? Doesn’t it only go in one way since there is a key ??

You removed the radiator then the fan but you can see that the radiator is still on? So, fan then radiator? Also, the ac compressor is already off the back on.. the sequence seems to be out of order, a little confusing.

Using standard socket instead of 27mm . And what size/thread pitch bolts...

Nice video, now I have a question, could you use a different kind of puller to remove the harmonic balancer? like the once that looks like a claw with 3 finders?
@1AAuto

+TheKnightDrag0n Thanks for watching! You really want to use the type of puller you see in the video. They can be purchased or even rented at many auto part stores. With rental programs you usually pay the full amount for the part up front, and if you bring it back in good condition you get fully reimbursed. 1aauto.com

I used a gear puller to remove mine from my 1998 pathfinder. I rented a harmonic balancer puller and the bolts were too big for my holes so i couldnt use it. But i used the 2 claws of my gear puller tool and then centered them around the outside of the a.c. belt section of the crank pulley and put the threaded bolt of the gear puller tool in the center with the crank bolt in, but loose. It worked great. It came off super easy. I notice the pathfinders harmonic balancers arent pressed in as tight as alot of other engines so your pretty safe using one of those tools.

@@CHESTURCH so instead of buying two 6mm bolts.... you potentially bent the pulley . Good job... real mechanic you are

Where do you find the bolts that fit in the pulley holes? I have 1 that fits, but I need 2. They are 6mm, fine thread..they don't come in the puller kits, the kits only have bigger sizes.... help!!!!

I have a Frontier with the 3.3L and I am changing the water pump. The crank pulley has to come off and I was wondering if you know what size bolt fits the pre-tapped holes on the pulley so I can use my puller.

@@alex14426 are you sure about that? I went to great pains to get M5 x .80 60mm bolts to work with my puller only to discover they are too small. If they are indeed M6 do you know what thread pitch and length is required?
