This video was of so much help in replacing the main brush motor. Without this I would never have even attempted it. Thank you very much. Extremely detailed and also you mentioned all the little things in between which were of great help.
Dear Ecovacs support. I had a problem with our Deebot N8 Pro+ the main brunch was very noisy. I have decided to buy a new robot an I did it. But After watching your videos I decided to try to fix our old one. I could not find the main motor in USA but I bought one from china. After 20 days the new motor arrived and I assembled the robot today. It was completely disassembled and now IS WORKING PERFECT!! I am writing to thank you for for great video teaching us how to disassemble and assemble the Deebot. Thank you so much! I hope you can get some compensation from You Tube. It was a awesome experience for me. Thanks again for your generosity.
Thank you very much for this video. I just completed a replacement following your instructions and I do not think that I could have done it without your guidance. Well done boys! 🎉
The brush on my N8 Pro+ quit spinning, watched this video, bought the part online for $30 or so bucks at amazon, followed the video and the robot fired right up after assembly. On my Brush Motor, the pinion gear on the motor had stripped due to hair getting in and displacing the lubricant. Thanks Guys, saved me some money in these expensive times!
My main brush was feeling bound tightly at random intervals of rotation. His very detailed instructions allowed me to get the motor out and remove my animals hair/grease sludge from the gear box, re-lube and put our Deebot N8 Pro Plus back in action. Very minor differences in some wires and screw locations, but I would have never pulled the motherboard to get to the motor without his instructions. Thank you for this!!
Thank you! I was able to do a repair myself, it was not easy, The gear attached to the motor was half gone, but I managed to make it working by raising the other gear wheel with an additional washer! It works fine now, not sure for how long though 🙂
awesome video, my brush stopped spinning. after cleaning the motor it worked perfectly fine although i got two srews left ... but the dude in the video is right its a pain in the ass to dissemble and reassemble.
I started working in a company doing repairs of all kind of stuff at the beginning. And a customer gave us this product cause the main brush us not turning. Now I might be able to do a diagnostic and repair it if the customer want it. Thanks a lot !
Thanks for the great video! I successfully replaced the main brush motor on my N8 Pro+ but the main brush still won't spin, just like your unit. Going to order a new motherboard and give that a shot
Thanks to this video I was able to replace the main brush motor in my T8. I had one of the camera ribbon strips pop loose but it.. wasn't damaged so I was able to lay it back in its socket and close the brown lock back down. Have a few leftover screws and the push button and power switch are a bit picky but it works again. I probably didn't get all the wire looms just right so buttons aren't perfectly working but it's going. I was watching, doing tear down, and stopping and starting etc to double check things. I already see some things I missed but nothing that makes it refuse to work.
Man what an absolute pain. For a piece that inevitably get clogged up you'd think they'd make it as easy to get to and clean. My n8+ kept saying the brush was tangled but nothing was in the brush. Came across a forum saying the motor itself was probably clogged. Followed this vid and opened up the casing and sure enough it was an absolute mess. Make sure you buy some super lub synthetic grease if you plan on cleaning it out as you need to re-lube the gears after washing them off thoroughly. Thank you so much for making these videos because I never would've been able to figure this out on my own.
Great video and quite helpful. This will help a lot of people. Would just like to correct one thing that at 19:13 you mentioned carpet sensor. It is actually the mop plate detection sensor, under water pump with white glue! Your videos are quite educational and interesting! Thanks
Thanks for correction... some time in flow I just speak but later when customers inform then only I realise that what's the mistake... that's mop plate detection sensor..you r rite.. thanks again ❤
Thanks for this video, it saved me so much money! When I was disassembling a small rubber piece jumped out and I can't figure out where it needs to go 😅 is there anyway I can send you a picture of it? you can probably tell what it is
This video was very helpful for my T8. I was able to go in and check on the motor, unfortunately the motor was so clogged with dust that it must had burnt out. I managed to order a new motor so hopefully that resolves the issue.
Very helpful video, thanks! I've successfully replaced the main brush motor on my Deebot T9+. However upon reassebly, I found a small rubber wedge that had fallen out of the vaccuum at some point. It measures 14mm long, with a triangle profile of 7mm wide and 8mm high. I don't recall seeing it during disassembly/reassembly and have no good idea of where it has come from. It's a long shot, but do you have any suggestions about where this piece should go? Perhaps somewhere around the main brush enclosure?
Hey guys, great video thanks so much. Gave me the confidence to give this a try. Only problem is I’ve reassembled back to test and it’s still making a whirring/buzzing sound from around the area where the brush motor is and not turning. Any ideas? Thanks so much 🙏
Thank you for this video!! The gears inside my motor were completely shredded. All uneven teeth and some of the gears had no teeth left. Looks I’m buying a new motor!
@@ecovacstechnicalsupport5278 yup, that’s what I did. You actually replied to my other comment where I thanked you for this video. Vacuum has been running like brand new for over a month now every night. Thanks again.
Thank you for the video. It was very helpful for replacing a T9 AIVI motor - before replacing the motor the vac would stop after a few minutes with error message saying the main brushbar was tangled even though it was not. The issue I am now having though after motor replacement, when the vac hits into a wall, it will sit still for a minute, and then continue on, hit the wall again and sit for another minute. On an open area it seems to clean ok but as soon as it turns/hits something the vac just stops moving even though the brushes are all spinning. Any suggestions?
My main brush was having issues so I ended up watching this video. I must say it it a very detailed video. After I install pieces back and after putting battery, I ran the test you recommended before putting everything back. It appears that the right wheel is not rolling. I watched your other videos on wheel malfunctioning but for my vacuum the wheels were working perfectly fine before I opened the vacuum to replace main brush motor. How can I fix this issue ? Thanks again
I opened the wheel and checked for the motor getting burned but didn't see any signs of that. Re connected all the wires for the right wheel. What am I missing here ? Thanks once again.
Dear Sir, I have Deebot 950, the right side bruch is making noise when the robot is at the corner, otherwise it works best and there is no noise. I opened the robot, thanks to this video. When the gears are checked, they don't seem to have any issue. When I cleaned and regreased the gears, I can see the gears are slipping. I need a help to get the gears, is it possible?
hi, greetings from Italy. I have the main brush problem, i followed your guide or disassembled everything, i tested the disassembled motor and it works. I reassembled everything but the brush doesn't turn! Do you think it's a problem with the motor that isn't fitted or the motherboard? Thank you!
Bro, my T9 has high pitch sound and doesn't vacuum/ sucks dust like before. Basically it has attitude problem. Can a main brush motor be the problem? Or is it a mother bot issue? Been using it for 4 years and now this problem occurs. Please help. Hey, ur videos are very informative.
Hi, i have been following your videos and they are amazing, clear n crisp.. My question is which lube should I use to re-lube the gears.. Request please specify the details
Hi thank you for the very useful content of this channel. I own a Deebot N3 Max, I would like to know if the main brush is the same of other models since I am having difficulties finding a spare part. Thank you!
In Malaysia we are not using this model so I not yet seen this model...no worries sir you plz just send some pics of ur deebot & main Brush pics I'll let you know which model you can order...00601137973018
I'm having trouble removing the cover to get to the motherboard. I disconnected all the cords, does it require a bit of force? It looks like you were able to remove it easily
Hello Sir. After replacing the main brush motor on my Deebot x1 omni, I cannot see anymore the video from the front of my robot through the app. Black screen. I think it is related with the flat connector you mention in this video not from the top camera but the front one. See 5:09. How can I know if despite I don't have the video in the app, the sensor is working correctly for the robot to correctly avoid obstacles, etc? Is there any test I can perform?
Sir I have ECOVACS Deebot T8 purchased in year 2020. Issue with my robot Vaccum cleaner is that its tyre upper layer is deteriorated. In any case I can replace it only…
I tried to reconnect the "carpet sensor" in my 950, but i can't find where to plug it into. I dont know if i did anything wrong with taking it apart but can find it
Thank you very much for your videos. I have an Deebot X1 Omnia. Can you please tell me the Part Number of the Main Brush Motor assembly, and where can I buy it from? I'm not finding it online, but maybe it's the same motor as previous models.
Thank you very much, the video helped me to replace the motor, but i have an problem now: when i start the deebot it is cleaning backward and stops with the problem „bumper blocked“. What did i wrong?
Super helpful video! I still have an issue though. I've gotten everything back together up to the test phase and now I have a "Please clean drop sensor" error. It seems that the wires and connections are all in good condition and the sensors themselves also look to be in good, clean, and clear condition. Is it possible I missed something, or am I looking at a mainboard issue? Are there any possible suggestions?
Thanks for the video. Do you know where i can find a replacement pcb for the tiny pcb that takes the ribbon cable to the top right of the motherboard? I broke the tiny plastic locking piece then bent the pins where the ribbon connects in to.
Thanks for the video. can you please share a link to buy this main brush motor with gearbox (what you replace here). I really appreciate any help you can provide.
Actually parts you need to check online because I bought from china direct..but Amazon Ali Xpress in different countries different sellers selling online...U just check the model no...this motor assembly can use in various models...Ozmo 920, 950, T8, T8aivi, T9,T10,even in Omni also is same assembly
Hello, I have a T8 AIVI-- changed the main brush motor and it still doesn't spin. I have installed a new main brush as noted in your other video and the roller guides are not burned out. Any suggestions?
@ecovacstechnicalsupport5278 Thank you so much for making and sharing these incredibly helpful videos! You've helped me repair my robot vac MANY times! I'm hoping you can help answer a question... Under the LDS assembly and housing are 4 small push buttons (outer buttons facing up, inner buttons facing out) wired in series to a 3 pin connector (only the outer two pins are used). Do you know what the function of these buttons are or know what the pinout of the three pin connector is? Asking because the wires broke off very close to the connector during disassembly, and I'm not sure which wire goes to which pin on the connector. Thanks so much for everything!
When deebot go under sofa or bed etc...if place not enough so top cover Will Press down or Press back From from....these buttons function that time...U can try..press top cover you will feel clicking soundsor press from front top cover you will feel same click....when we Press this so deebot will reverse back from that places so it won't get stuck easily this type places
You mean side brushes main brush turning vacuum fan also spinning but deebot not moving forward...after few seconds deebot itself gives error what's the issue... Some time just says plz help me out... means D-Tof assembly issue....
@@ecovacstechnicalsupport5278 I mean the main roller brush. My T8 Aivi is cleaning, side brushes are rotating, there is no error message in the App but the main roller brush is not rotating. So I used your video guide to open the robot and I replaced the motor like shown but it didn't solve the problem. I tested the removed motor with a power supply and it is working. so it seem like the motor for the main roller brush in the robot doesn't get power.
Great video - thank you. After reassembly, my ecovacs seems to be running backwards! I checked the mainboard plugs against the photos I took during disassembly. Can't see anything wrong. Have you see this behaviour before?
Many times... mostly is assembled slightly wrong specifically from front that's why bumper stucks with top cover... sometimes technicians forget to fix front anti drop clip which touch the bumper
Thank you for this video! I fixed the main brush and it's working perfectly. I buttoned it up, put it on the floor and it runs backwards. Once it runs into something I get a drop sensor error. Can you tell me what wires might be crossed?
Tap the bumper bit Hard bumper sensor I think stuck in assembly...whith taping it will come out...or u can remove bumper n clean inside all dust n remove that sensor manually with fingers.... there's video also available at this topic
I live in the southwest USA and can't find a Ecovacs Deebot N8 repair shop near New Mexico? This is my second Ecovacs that only lasted under 2 years before needing repairs (950 first Ecovacs).
Hi and thanks for the video. does deebot have any wifi module ? my debot is no longer shows its current location on the map. it also fails to find its location. I thought it might be because of its wifi module or something?!
This type issue normally happens when LDS or D-Tof assembly giving error...need to do some service of LDS/D-Tof assembly.. hopefully will solve the issue
How many cents did you guys save by going with plastic drive gears? Because it wasn’t worth it. Ours is shot after only 3 years. Sounds like a dentist drill as the gearbox is stripped out.
Many thanks for this video! I have a Ozmo 950 and the main brush motor has just recently burned out because it sucked in a cat toy and got stuck. I am now running the Bot with the vacuum slot instead of the brush slot (works reliable and gets all the stray cat hairs likle a champ agaon). My question: Is there any problems I can expect from the burned out motor or should I be able to run it this way just fine for the forseeable future?
In Ozmo 950 model my experience is that 70% cases motherboard & main Brush motor together need to replace...but U can try to replace main Brush motor only first if it starts working then ur luck...if not then see if you want to replace motherboard..more can continue using like this also no issue
Excellent video, thanks. Just working through doing this on my N8 Pro. Have to say, it's a fucking stupid design that there's no access panel for that motor.
If you open deebot top cover then just remove motherboard screw n remove side brush motor screw...can replace same way...just one connector need to disconnect
Thank you very much, but after I replaced the main brush motor I faced a new problem, the vacuum suddenly stopped after 2 or 3 min working and totally shutdown then I have to return to the charging station to restart again can you help me with this problem
Hi. Sorry again, I need you help.! I have now replaced the motor. finished but when reassembled The machine cannot work as before. The machine travels in a circle alternating left and right. cannot work in a straight line as before And the main wheel doesn't fall down when lifting the machine. My machine is a 920 Deebot ozmo, what should I do next?
@@ecovacstechnicalsupport5278 ok. I bought one of $450 from Best Buy in USA , but I can’t find this product on ECOVACS website .. so I’m confused about this product 😕
The little red clip that holds the side brush has snapped on my Deebot T8 AIVI !! I think I need to replace the whole side brush motor , I’ve looked on the channel but I can’t seem to find a video addressing side brush motor issues. Anyone have experience with this ? Please help . Thanks
Thanks ! Would it be possible to make a video of how to replace the side brush assembly ??? Please. I have looked through your videos but cannot find one replacing side brush motor!
I can’t believe ECOVACS buried the weakest component in the system deep inside the device in a such a way that the whole damned thing has to be completely disassembled to replace it. That’s quite a departure from iRobot’s design, where everything is modular and easily replaced.
Just only in new model got this design..older model all ok no Hassel to replace any parts...but it's ok.. won't spoil daily... maybe once a year need service...for ur car also you go to service centre right... so it's ok normal...but if you have free time U can do at home..if need any help can get my help anytime...☺️
I thought I did everything right with no wires sticking out…. And now I’m getting the bumper is stuck error…😢 What do I do @Ecovacs_Technical_Support ? I have a T8.
