No matter how hard I try nothing ever pops but my wrists 😏 I have low back pain gave up on the rowing machine as I was pulling back and boom instant paralyzing pain... (nothing in the legs or buttocks thankfully) but right in the center of my low back aligned with my hips. The pain extends to my right hip. One day I'm at 90% and the next day it hurts to get up or out of bed. Please help!! I watch all your videos regarding back and hips and nothing!!

I’m in shock and feeling emotional. I have been living with chronic lower back pain for well over a year. I have seen physios and specialist physios. I have seen chronic pain Drs and nothing has given me any real relief. I have struggled to dress myself, putting on socks for example was a nightmare. I also started to walk with that horrible side to side gait. I have spent hours and hours doing stretches and exercises only to attain minimal results. I came across this video by chance and decide to give it a go not expecting much. WELL, I GOT A WHOLE LOT! After doing this video and a video from another RU-vidr working on similar principles I started my usual Pilates routine on the reformer. After my first set I noticed I felt different. I stopped and did some side to side rocking on my back and I had the most satisfying 2 pops in my pelvic area. I am now walking like a normal person. My legs feel freer and I move with such ease. I feel I could cartwheel. As I sit here typing this, I am not in my usual pain, struggling to sit. I can pick things up off the floor without having to do it in an odd way. I am stunned and in disbelief that these videos have made such a change in how I feel. I cannot attribute this result to just one of you so I am leaving this comment on both your videos. I’m sure it was a combination of both your ideas that have helped me greatly. I am forever grateful for you sharing your knowledge and helping me find some pain relief after all this time. My life has changed! Thank you!!!

I had bad SI pain for 16 months after a slip and fall accident and my chiro, sports medicine doctor and physiotherapist were baffled. After doing the corkscrew stretch, using a little more force than previously applied, I heard a very loud bang and my lower extremities went numb for a few minutes. I stood up and felt really good but the next morning, I felt GREAT. I haven’t felt this good in years and now I’m able to run on the elliptical, stand for longer periods of time and get back my normal day activities. The foot behind the leg was the key to getting the release as I’ve been doing this stretch improperly and would only get a very mild release. Thanks Doc.

I went my entire life with what Im assuming was an SI joint problem. I couldn’t do lunges , wasn’t able to skateboard as a kid , couldn’t use an elliptical without extreme discomfort and so on. I’ve been going to a chiropractor for 3 years to adjust my hips as my right leg is always 1/2”-1” longer then my left. Last month I saw a movement and decided to try it, by this point I’ve tried everything too. Anyways after working out in gym for a while I put my right arm up against a door and rotated my left hip inward and got a pop, then I immediately did the same on the left side , after figuring out my stance I was able to get a pop from that as well. I’d never felt a pop/crack from that spot either, right after doing this I kept saying to myself wow wow wow. It was crazy I all the sudden felt stability and everything felt good. After numerous ACL tears I don’t feel pressure on my knee anymore , I can run for miles now without it absolutely killing my feet, knees and hips. I can stand on one leg with complete balance now and I can sleep on my left side which I’ve never been able to do. After doing a lot of research I’ve figured out that everything my whole life was because of the SI joint being unstable. It’s crazy that something so simple as this movement made such a difference for me. I hope others have the same success that I’ve had!

For anyone suffering SI pain, this really works! I've tried many stretches to release the pain without much success. The specific one I use, where you lay on your stomach and raise your legs, helped me to immediately engage those muscles around the joint. I did this a few times last night and to my surprise the crampy feeling in my joint was gone this morning. Thank you!!!

You are amazing! I have been dealing with "low back pain" since I was in my early 20s. Now 34yrs old. I have begged every doctor to do imaging. Finally got an MRI that showed I have sacroilitis. Now being worked up for AS. I am very active and not over weight but sometimes I can't even get out of bed in the morning. I just went through your videos on pain relief for SI joints and I had almost instant relief after going through the exercises once!! This is unreal!!! I can't even remember the last time I didn't feel at least a 3-4/10 pain. I have been to RMT, Chiro, Physio, and was headed down the SI steroid injections as nothing/no one has ever helped. This just gave me a little bit of hope. THANK YOU!!!

Back pain for most of my life, most of it SI joint pain, also fibromyalgia. One leg is shorter than the other, shifting pelvis. When I walk, exercise, stand for long periods, etc, SI joint pain tells me when pelvis is out of alignment. These are some great ways to help align pelvis & relieve tension in tight muscles. Some new ones that I haven't done in PT. Thank you so much!!!😊❤😊

I'm wondering how you're doing now? I also have fibromyalgia and I literally just realized that I have SI joint pain myself after finding out about this at 2am, this morning. I broke my pelvis in multiple places in 1991, so thought that, that was likely the cause of my pain. I'm so excited after suffering for 15 yrs, that I may have a pain free day!!!!

A great way to release the SI-joint is to cross your ankles while on your back and try to lift the lower leg up while resisting with the other one. I usually have pain only on one side so I have the bad side leg underneath. I have a friend who had already seen a doctor and was gonna get an MRI when he told me his symptoms and I told him to try this. It worked! I don't get a pop, it's more like a stretch but works great. I'm glad there are videos like this. It saves people so much time and money to be able to do this by yourself.

I've had a history of SI joint problems on one side. I was told at one time, it was dislocated and the pain level then was unbelievable. I recently had pretty bad pain from my left joint again while driving my motorhome from Florida back to Toronto. It ended up taking me 8 days to get home due to me only being able to drive for 3 hrs a day. When I got home, I attempted to make an appointment to see my Osteopath but was unable to get in to see her for a couple of weeks which wasn't good. I ended up watching your video hoping to get some relief. Although I did not feel the pop or release of the joint, the exercises did help to alleviate some of the extreme pain. I believe my muscles which are strong in that regeion, are so tight and locked up to protect the area, that I am unable to get the joint to reset. However, I do appreciate your video and will continue to do those exercises as I feel you really know a lot about the SI joint and other structural issues. The exercises did help to make my day bearable until I can get help. Thank you

I think I have been mis-diagnosed with hip Arthritis and was ordered a hip replacement. I wanted a 2nd opinion and they did a lower back MRI, but didn't find anything significant, so I scheduled my hip replacement for March 2022. I've been dealing with this since July 2020 and have even used a Walker cause i was in so much pain. I went to the Chiropractor about 3 weeks ago and I experienced this major pop in my back and voila, I walked out of the office with minimal pain. I have since been able to sleep and walk with very little pain. I researched the internet about this popping in the lower back and found your video which pretty much shows the position the Chiro had me in when I felt and heard the pop. I then researched locked up SI Joint and found every single symptom I've been having, including my possibly mis-diagnosed IBS. I now contacted my physician and she wants to give me a shot into the SI shot to "see" if that's where it's coming from. I'm not in much pain anymore, so not sure if I should even subject myself to this. I just feel like canceling my hip replacement at this point. I'm so thankful for your video, cause it seemed to have guided me to the right direction.

I have to say these excercises are a game changer for me. Here's something and I don't know if you have seen patients with this but I had urge incontinence for months and also some sexual dysfunction. No one knew why or how, even urologists didn't know. But an MRI scan showed that I had sacroilitis inflamation - but strangely never any pain. On doing more research online I found out that this can cause both of my ailments. As soon as I began these exercises, BOOM, a major and significant improvement. I had already been doing Transverse abdominal excercises and they helped but this really was the next knock out punch. Thank you for this.

Thank you so much!!. Last year my Right SI joint got injured due to a fall and I ended up needing a Cortisone injection for pain relief. Last week I injured my my left SI Joint. The pain in my left leg, foot and lower spine was so bad, that I could only walk a few meters before having to sit down. I could not get a doctors appointment, so I desperately searched the net for advice and watched your video. I started with Stretch number 5 yesterday and the results are amazing. There will be no need for cortisone injection this time. The pain is much reduced and I can walk much better. I will include your stretches now in my daily routine.

Unbelievable, just one comment you made in the one of your hip/sacroiliac videos literally changed my life. After pushing a car out of a ditch 15 years ago I've dealt with what I thought was a lower back issue. Even in the land of "free healthcare" 🇨🇦 Many doctors, many exrays etc NO ONE ever suggested it was my hip. I'd randomly be hunched over 4 or 5 times a year for a 1-2 weeks and just accepted it. Now as soon as I feel it coming I use the massage ball, the broom technique and the side pop as the above video suggests and i haven't been hunched over in 15 months or so. I truly can't thank you enough.

Doing these exercises brings my pain of a 7 to a 4. Quite a bit of relief and so much so that my brain expects the pain to remain and is surprised by the relief. Granted, the pain returns to a higher level in time but taking a “4 vacation” is welcome relief. These exercises “hurt so good…” Thanks again.

😂😂😂🙌 I can’t believe how easy that one exercise worked. I was laying on the couch searching for different videos on SI joint pain because I’ve been in a lot of pain this past week and nothing has been working. I’ve done all the other exercises before and many more over the years but I’ve never seen the last exercise (#6 at 9:01) where you turn the foot out and apply opposite pressure to the single leg. While still laying on the couch w/ my legs elevated on the arm rest, I started following along while watching the video just to see how it felt before going to the bed so I could hang my leg off. I only did the ONE rep on each side as you did for about 15 sec. As the video ended I was getting up to try it on the bed so I could hang my leg off as you suggested and my SI joint popped before my back was even 1/4 off the couch! THANK YOU!!! 🙏🙏🙏

Yess, thank you for this advice. Having had a lot of trouble with L4-L5 herniation, I thought for weeks I had a flared up disc. When my go to exercises for that did not help, but the back and hip just kept getting worse, I thought maybe look for SI joint stuff. All of the things in this video helped, but with exercise 5 laying on my back, I noticed the painful side just kept screaming at me: "go further! Something's gonna release soon!". So I did that one later on with band assistance (band attached to a gym ladder and the raised knee), which allowed me to relax way better --> I finally felt a few good releases directly in the left SI. WOW. I literally let out a good laughter, felt like evil spirits were kicked out of me :) Now let's see how walking, standing, and exercise feels, but I think we're on a the right track once again!

I will definitely be trying these exercises. I’ve had problems with my SI joint for 2 years. Very painful & debilitating. Cannot take NSAID’s because of ulcers (though they do help tremendously if I could take them). I had a bad fall, broken tail bone, spondylolisthesis & SI injury were the result. Recently diagnosed with spinal stenosis and 2 herniated discs. So add the sciatic type pain to the sacro iliac area and I’m a mess! I am getting spinal nerve called arising done to help the spinal stenosis pain but they tell me that won’t really help the sacroiliac area. I’ve been to three different physical therapist and a chiropractor and no one has been able to help me. These exercises are different with the exception of one. I’m definitely going to give them a try! Thank you for sharing your knowledge freely the way you do, I know you’re helping a lot of people!

I must say, just great result for me. Thanks for posting and taking the time to make the vid. I had no idea what the hell was wrong with my lower back, thought I had a hip problem. Ive suffered from chronic back pain and sciatic pain for 11 years now. Anyways 2 days ago i went to the er they gave me Norco 10 and a shot of toradol and my pain level was still high. Over the years ive had multiple Mri and another doctor with more experience came in and said. Hmmm its probably not even your low back thats 2 messed up. It seems like its your Si. And over the years ive randomly popped the si back in accidently and the pain is gone for months at a time until it returns with heavy activity. Im glad you sir posted this. Thank you very much chiropractor.

I had severe SI pain for about six months every time I rolled over in bed (enough to wake me up), or tried to get out of a chair, and intermittent moderate pain with normal activities. I got instant relief of SI pain when getting on my hands and knees, with my legs completely folded under me, having my husband sit on my sacrum and then pushing him up using the muscles in my thighs and butt. I guess it is similar to laying on your back clasping your knee and then pushing up with your thigh, which I could tell eased the pain a bit while I was doing it. Having someone sit on you sacrum and having you knees on the ground allows you to generate way more force than you can simply pushing against your own hands. The pain went away completely when doing this exercise and was gone for several hours afterwards. It stayed away for at least 2 years after doing it for maybe five minutes 3-4 days in a row. No other SI pain exercise regimen seemed to be particularly effective. Since, nothing in this video ever seemed to give me instant relief, I thought I would share what did. Just be aware, it probably only works for certain types of SI joint pain where the joint is misaligned. It will not work for other types of back pain. There is no pop or crack associated with this procedure.

8:27 - while not a pop, I felt that familiar "gristly" sound that the joint had moved, and it was like sky opened up and angels sang. I have chronic pain in my Sacroiliac joints from arthritis, since I was a teenager. We relocated a few years ago and I haven't found a chiropractor I am comfortable with. I've spent the last 10 days in pain, and barely able to walk. I've bookmarked this for all my future uses. It was extremely kind of you to share this.

I never knew exercise could feel good. I enjoy some of these things so much. I have to skip the ones that grind on my sciatic nerve because I don't think it's a good idea to keep doing something that hurts. But I immensely enjoy the ones that don't hurt, and I adapt to the ones that do hurt. Like I can't keep my knees together and twist to the right, so I put my left ankle over my right knee and that lets me twist to the right without hitting that nerve so hard. Some of these exercises are so specific in how everything has to be angled, so I hope I'm not doing more harm than good, but it does still feel wonderful, and my needy lower back showers me with rewards for doing them, however I have to do them. Sigh... I'll be so glad to get these muscles strengthened to pull everything back to where it belongs. I'm afraid that if it felt any better, it would break!

These exercises have been very helpful for me. I sit at a desk all day for work and I believe years of this has been the cause of my SI joint pain. Can you speak at all to the potential causes of and long-term solutions to SI joint pain? My hips have been out of alignment for years, with one leg shorter than the other. My chiropractor would just keep adjusting my hips but never said anything about an SI joint. I finally went to an orthopedic had X-rays and got an SI belt after my dog dumped me on my back and aggravated the whole thing. I haven't tried these exercises but will. If you try the chair exercise at 6:03, try getting your knees just shy of the right distance, and then tie them to one another. Then whatever you tied them with can take the majority of the force, and you can supplement it with your hands (because part of it is the translation of force from your arms down through your back to interact with the force of your legs trying to move outward...so you still have to use your hands). But, that should mean you don't need to worry about your arm strength not being up to the task. . It might still not work, but it's worth a shot.
