I don't understand when people say reading before bed will make you fall asleep faster because reading makes your brain more active. I was reading and now I can't fall asleep because I keep thinking about the book.
You are probably reading some technical, self improvement, philosophical, etc kind of books which makes you think Try reading stories and fairytales where your brain doesn't have to do anything as everything is given on the book
Amazing video… Few years ago I had very hard time to fall asleep but since I changed my habits I don’t have any issue.. I don’t use my phone after dinner, I try to sleep same time every day around 10:30pm and I eat healthy food… I am physically very active too.. thank you doctor Sid… I am going to forward your video to my sister since lately she has some trouble to fall asleep.. thank you once again for your informative video.
Doc , in my case I will sleep at 10 but my mind overthinks something else, I'm not able to sleep for 2 hours which means till 12, how can I overcome this problem?

Dear Dr Sid...i drink milk with water (75/25) and add very little jaggery to it at 3 pm with some snack like dosa or chapathi or upuma..earlier i used to have tea..and this has improved my sleep quality
Is slight exercise to get heart rate up a good idea before sleeping or is it detrimental? Logically when one is tired, one feels sleepy. But does tiredness and sleep have some kind of bell curve mapping? (like low tiredness high sleepiness, medium tiredness low sleepiness, high tiredness high sleepiness).

I'm a teenager and I suffer a lot before going to sleep I usually use to listen to some sort of Playlist for sleeping which obv wouldn't help me much but now I've written all the points discussed in this video and yes sir this video was very helpful for me thanks a lot
Please make a video on afternoon sleep, like it's merits, demerits, and all the essential insights about it because I don't don't at all like sleeping in the afternoon, I want to take a nap for 30 minutes but end up sleeping for more than a hour and that too very guilty and exhausted and even that delays my night's sleep, and please tell me how do I curb this problem, and due to this i remain tired all day long😭😭 I have noticed that I am most productive at night basically I enjoy studying at night but since night is for sleeping I cannot do that, I find afternoons as depressing, I don't like mornings and afternoons altogether, is there any neuroscience behind this too, if yes, please enlighten us🥺🥺
Great video sir but I still have some questions 1. Does drinking turmeric milk just before bed disturb the sleep ? 2. Do naps cause in the depreciation of sleep quality for someone like me who take a sleep or nap of 90 mins in the late afternoon around 12 30 to 2 00 clock? 3. If anyone is interested in book reading then should we do it before bedtime or after waking up It would be very helpful if you can provide some insights on these questions.
great video, I just have a question that planning of next day was also mentioned in triggering sympathetic system, so rather is it better to plan in the morning? And one more question, does reading book before going to bed trigger ur sympathetic or parasympathetic response, and is it a good routine. (I read selfhelp books)

No matter how long I sleep I wake up with anxiety attacks. Why? It will turn into a panic attack if I don’t take the medication the dr gave me which knocks me out during the day. I feel like I’m asleep but I’m not really totally asleep. If I get to the point of REM I get the anxiety worse. What’s the connection and is there anything to fix it. I’m miserable. .

Sir I am doing night shift iam sleeping in day time I make my room as much as possible dark but it day sleep my sleep disturbance within one or two hour later I awake i don't know how to fix this problem
Very informative video. Tq. Can you make a detailed video about dreams? Buz as soon I sleep for sure there will be dream waiting for me... They contain known people only not any scary things... But something or the other will be going on. Sometimes I take nap and even that short duration also contains some dream. Sometimes I confirm to myself that did I sleep or not based on whether I saw a dream or not. It's funny but its truth. Why those many dreams? Anything serious or to get it checked? Any preventive measures?
