Great video! Some of these also will go into the test mode Pull the rake arm forward. The further it is pulled forward, the shorter the initial cycle time Normal cycle time is 3 minutes Pulling the rake arm completely forward reduces cycle time to 1.5 minutes (from 9:00 to 3:00)
this was helpful to find my issue. as a result: check if the solid white pieces (that look like piano keys) in the front are straight and even and have not gotten stuck underneath the teeth of the wheel. mine got stuck and you could tell it was bent under one of the "teeth" on the icemaker wheel inside preventing the wheel from turning. you could hear the gears trying to turn but it couldn't move the wheel. if you put your fingers on it you can feel the movement and how it is stuck. the lever would also not fully come out until that piece that got stuck was free.
This is exactly what my issue was due to plastic getting caught between the “piano keys”. I removed the plastic but then had to fix the keys because it was jammed. Just like you mentioned it was making a loud noise as if it was stuck trying to turn. Lesson learned. I will keep items away from that area.
How do you fix a LG French door ice maker? Ours is stopped in the upside down position. I can't find any videos on how to repair it. Appreciate the help! Thanks.
I am not sure but if you give me the model number i can see if i can get a service manual for you Here is a video I found ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rA1DhfTwuwM.html but it sounds like you have a different problem. Let me know what the model # is and I will search around. Thanks for watching Lynn Yager

HI Geoff, I've seen both of those videos and they don't help. We have a LG French Door, LFX25974 this is an example of what we have. www.lowes.com/pd/LG-24-7-cu-ft-French-Door-Refrigerator-with-Ice-Maker-Stainless-Steel/4746231?cm_mmc=SCE_PLA_ONLY-_-Appliances-_-SosRefrigeration-_-4746231:LG&CAWELAID=&kpid=4746231&CAGPSPN=pla&k_clickID=cb532e58-381d-4d67-b1a4-5a4a868cf554&gclid=CjwKCAjwos7NBRAWEiwAypNCe-gpEVap3Vis7GipXfJC-kjeteDRy4iJi9AN-xB3QY1dHvqUMQ4mehoCqa0QAvD_BwE
Hi Lynn Yager I found the service manual for that model It is 80 pages long and a lot of complicated stuff but I hope this helps. www.manualslib.com/manual/767084/Lg-Lfx25974-Series.html#manual
My ice maker has pretty much the same issues..difference is. The white arm Retracts in when the ice falls but it does not come back out even with the spring hooked up. What could that be
I have same ice maker. Noticed on front / right side there's a small dial to turn, with arrow and + sign next to it. Wondering if it is to speed up ice making.
UMM This model has little pieces of plastic that are covering the screw holes. They have little slots to insert a flathead screwdriver then the screws are under them.If you pause the video @ 2:44 you can kinda see the top one has the little notch and you would just push up with a flat head.
I moved into a new apartment and I have this refrigerator but tell me why I don’t have the little white switch that controls the flap. I’m going to get these people all the way together
