Max Aita is both a weightlifter and powerlifter with a 700lb Raw Squat and a 600lb front squat. Since my raw squats suck, I'm going to see if I can learn something from this highly sought after coach.
Check out Max Aita @Max_Aita and @MaxsGym
Also Max is now working with Juggernaut Training Systems in Orange County, CA. JTSStrength.com for more info.

This shitty cue of sitting back comes from geared lifting and people really need to let go and realize this isn't optimal biomechanics for you Thank God I was able to learn how to squat properly from Max and JTS. I'm glad people are recognising this style to be superior
@toximan2008
@toximan2008 4 года назад
the cool thing about the mid-foot cue is that it is biomechically more advantageous to raw lifters no matter how you slice it... pretty much on all lifts esp. oly like you said, people have to realize that using suits and belts in powerlifting will cause your movement patterns to change semi-significantly, and it's why the rise of cues like "get on your heels" came about as you pointed out

This is how I started squatting. Going straight up and down, like a piston; breaking at the knees first and keeping them forward. Seems to work better this way. Just gonna take a while for my quads to build up, so I can do the same weight as when I was breaking at the hips first.
