Comparison is such a sneaky little thief it has never served our fullest self. In a way, we dishonor God by comparing ourselves to others. I truly believe that when God created each of us, took his time and when he finished, he was sure of himself about us. So when we look at others and compare our beauty, our life, our talent, anything... In many ways we are saying to him, you didn't do a good enough job with me. And that is a damn lie. that's why comparison is the thief of joy and gratitude.

Self-care will help you focus on yourself instead of everyone else.

Comparison is self-sabotage. When you compare yourself to others, you only produce what it takes to match up with the next person. As a result, you suppress the parts of you that doesn't match up. In truth, you cannot become the best version of someone else. Who you are is enough. All you need is expansion and growth in your authentic self. The world needs the authentic you. It doesnt need a repeat of someone else. Your greatest fulfilment is allowing yourself to freely become your amazing self and let others do the same. Never compare yourself. You are unique. Stand in your authentic lane and shine.🤗

I’m crying. I needed this. I lost 100 pounds and thought that would “fix me”. I’m even more insecure and have been comparing myself to others every day. It sucks and it is a cycle. I feel like crap man this sucks.

Was just having this conversation w/ my friend! Social media can be so vain and sometimes I would find myself comparing myself to people. I have stepped away from fb, snap, Instagram for over a year now and my confidence and focus has been extremely better. I have “ set my own standard”. Focus with myself, my family, my personal goals and dreams. I have been truly elevating! So thankful!

Hey Breeny, you look absolutely amazing as always. I have been watching your videos for a while (four years to be exact) and I love all your content. However, I feel that the feeling of worthlessness is a lot more complex than comparing oneself. I believe a lot stems from childhood traumas that require professional intervention such as therapy. Granted comparing oneself can lead to unhappiness, but comparing oneself is only the tip of the iceberg. Comparing oneself is a symptom of bigger trauma and issues. In the same way, we shouldn’t compare ourselves with others, in the same way we shouldn’t judge others’ lives. You truly never know why people make the decisions they make. Perhaps the lady from the metaphorical story you mentioned didn’t have “a very good thing” and it took someone else to enter her life for her to realize that. 6:59 it is so sad that this lesson usually isn't cemented into our psyches until late in life. I can say 100% I never compare myself to others for this very reason Breeny. It is why I am so annoyed when women and men pick me apart instead of focusing on themselves. Also Breeny, when it comes to weight you are spot on! NO ONE should remain fat if (as Oprah says) "it is like mud in your wings". Being fat and having a beautiful face doesn't make you beautiful. It's about how you move, feel and glide through life. If you don't like your body, job, friends, home....change it. Never remain fat because others tell you they love your size. First and foremost be your own cheerleader and allow others opinions to not carry as much weight. I'm sharing this video with every woman I know. Bless you sis.💋

Thank you so much for this video. I have been in a comparison trap for months. I am single and a close friend is getting married in February 2023. She posts multiple times a week on Instagram about her fiance, how amazingly happy she is to be engaged, etc. And if I am being honest, it has triggered me in ways I couldn't imagine. I was comparing myself to her even though I wouldn't want her partner for anything. This video gave me the perspective that just because I am single now doesn't mean I always will be. And not to compare me to others while on MY journey.
