TD5's are common for warping exhaust manifolds and snapping studs. Here's a quick video to show you how to stop this by cutting the webs out of your manifold yourself.
Hi from durham mate👋👍 its mad how experience pays to know this sort of technique and sure you know many more too👌 also when worked on sites brickies never knew what the brick hammer was for always use hammer and chisel cos the best use for brick hammer so far is knocking cast lugs of yi manifold 👍😂 good job mate 👌 thanks for your time and be safe see you soon👍👋
Hi Mark, thanks for your kind feedback as usual pal 😁 yes the brick hammer is the most used hammer in my workshop 😂 I’ve never used it on bricks 😂 cheers mate 👍
Nice job mate! So you believe that with this modification that you don’t gain much in performance and reliability over an “ improved, performance “ manifold? Cheers Peter.
@@petertatham5547 I’ll probably just use a standard manifold but chop and weld it up some as I think I’ll be compounding 2 turbos and possibly putting a gate straight on the manifold too mate 👍
@@calum4456 you don’t need to get the updated ones but a good idea is to use longer studs and tube spacers with flanged nuts, that lets the manifold expand sideways ever so slightly 👍
