use unteeth presser foot or / and loosen the tension nut.

Fredco is very old machine, it is similar to CB105, the threading similar to CB3200 www.cowboysew.com/leather-sewing-machine-for-saddlery.htm

Hi, I threaded my 441 clone the same way yet I am getting a dull "ding" sound when the chrome lever raises up. It seems to come from the thread check part. Any ideas?

Please check your shuttle hook area. Some 441 clone not assembled well.

CowBoy and HighTex are exact same machines, just different brand. In United States and Sustralia, we sell with CowBoy and in Europe we mainly sell with HighTex. All HighTex and CowBoy leather sewing machine are extremely durable, you can use for lifetime.
