They talk about the brand in the video "hyped brands" (or something like that) i love the ordinary, because even if it's not as good as for example, the "better" doesn't excuse a 80$ price difference. I love the ordinary and they have so much information on their website, they explain every product so well and have different studies. So definetly check out their website, i'm so much more happy with my skin since i use the ordinary! :)

So glad you guys brought up the outdated info on niacinamide and vitamin c. I came across articles on that months ago. In order for the niacinamide to break down it would need to be exposed to extreme heat for extended periods of time. It also does not corrupt the vitamin c but converts it to niacinamide ascorbate. Which is actually good for your skin and reversing skin damage from the sun

I heard that mixing niacinamide with vitamin C turns it into hydrogen Peroxide . Is this the wrong information? I want to be sure.

But you guys always talk about the science of the products and how that interacts with your skin and that has completely changed my view on skin care. @BeautyWithin
@BeautyWithin 5 лет назад
So glad you're finding the ABC series helpful! It means a lot to us! As for the patting and smoothing, there really isn't a set rule on what you should do when applying each product. Some people find the patting helpful for making sure the products to sink into the skin, whereas the upwards smoothing motion helps to retain the skin's shape and prevent from sagging. But the bottom line is to be gentle to your skin so you shouldn't be rubbing harshly. Do what you feel is the most comfortable to you! Hope this helps! 😊😊

Another product I'd recommend would be Saturday Skin's Pro-Biotics Cotton Cloud Sheet Mask. It. Is. DREAMY. When I used it the first time, I felt like there was this beautiful plumping effect to my skin, and this glow-from-within look. But I also kept the packets since there was so much leftover serum in them and just started using it as an essence in my skincare routine, and I've seen such a difference. My redness has decreased significantly, my pores have reduced, blemishes gone and overall very smooth flawless-looking skin. And when I tried to figure out what ingredient it was that was suiting me so well, I saw that (among other ingredients which I'm sure are also great) Niacinimide was mentioned high up in the list. I'm VERY sure Niacinimide made the difference in my skin. And if it didn't, then I'd still recommend this sheet mask for all the other gorgeous ingredients my plebian mind can't comprehend in all its glory. Seriously, check it out. I love it.

This is the first time I heard that niacinamide and vitamin c being used together as a myth! I always alternated them on different days, good to know! You guys always deliver the best content.

I had to look up articles on this too. I've used them together in the same routine. Never have had a single problem. This was after reading the articles. If I can find them, i will come back and link them here.

Penny Ziv my life is a lieeee lol. I had been regressing on self care and this video inspired me to pamper myself with a full maintenance routine without a time limit so I can really focus on hydrating and exfoliating my skin to get back that skin barrier!

@@marissasun77 www.beautifulwithbrains.com/use-vitamin-c-niacinamide-together/ here is 1 of the articles I read. I only fully got into taking care of my skin about 4/5 months ago. I started trying to find what would work for me a few months before that. It was a process to say the least. At night I spend about an hour sometimes. During the day is quicker, I don't use all the same things. I wish I'd invested more time and effort in sunscreen when I was growing up, but I was an 80s kid and my mother never bought the stuff. I use it religiously now, on my kids as well. But good skin care has made a big difference too. You should definitely take that time for yourself 😁

I use niacinimide from the ordinary works amazing. Using in combination with silicone sheets to get some keloid scars on my nose and chin to go away from using accutane. Ive been using it for a week and i see a difference so i guess my skin really likes it

Great video again guys! Love the channel, I have learned so much. Just wanted to add that I had a terrible reaction when using The Ordinary. I might be the odd one out but I would suggest to others that they might want to do a spot test before going all in with it. I stopped using it a month ago and my cheeks are still recovering from the breakout.

Thanks for bringing this up! I also broke out after using The Ordinary's 10% niacinamide product. I didn't want to believe it at first... As they mentioned, it's most likely a certain ingredient in its formulation that broke me out
