Ferns story about finding the Minton China pieces reminds me of the time my teenaged daughter and I found a set of Fiesta Ware dishes in White of all colors LOL it appeared to be new and I got it for her to save for her Hope chest I am a long time collector of Fiesta Ware (the originals) The set was about $25.00 not the best deal but it was calling me to take it home

Hi Dr. Lori! I have received a few necklaces with fleur de lis hang tags which are showing online to be Vendome pieces. Is that accurate? They are not signed Vendome like my other Vendome pieces.

@@DrLoriV haha! You got me! I tried May 3rd and got called into a meeting. Will try again! Love your classes! But I am discouraged selling jewelry. Taking a break and have decided to keep the vintage pieces and hand them down because I don’t know how to find the market of collectors who understand value and why. I know you know what you’re doing because I’ve had opportunities to see in innards of the Smithsonian back when I was a DC Photographer. Thought since I know art personally, I could sell the jewelry - but the market that I am privy to is saturated with resellers handing vintage pieces out for $5 right now. I bought a few more duplicate RMN necklaces after you appraised mine so I could have them. Sigh. Im going back to selling quilts for extra income. They sell. And people will pay $$$ for my creative ability and hard work :). Still studying jewelry to make a case for the pieces you appraised. Like, if they were made in Rhode Island, how they were made… the masses need a reason to pay more. You understand all of this. My marketing brain is spinning. How to get them to understand why it’s valuable. There’s got to be a way. Breaks my heart to see these pieces being sold for $10. We will never see them again--- like art. They are ART. Dr. Lori are you okay you look awful pale make sure you get plenty of rest and they don't work you too hard out there I love your show I still haven't been able to get the appraisal I wanted for the bracelet but maybe sometime
