Really enjoying Disney Villainous, have no interest in Marvel. Would love to see Mad Madam Mim from The Sword in the Stone. How about Villainous Action Movies. Hans Gruber from Die Hard? That would be so much fun.
I dont mean to be off topic but does anybody know a trick to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb forgot the account password. I love any tricks you can give me.
@Cody Dylan Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and Im in the hacking process now. Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
I lost a 4 player game as Hades last weekend. Prince John, Captain Hook (the eventual winner), and Cruella were all about one round from winning and Hades wasn't even close. Somehow I had 36 power at the end of the game. I came here to learn how to play Hades better.
I find Hades so much fun to play, but once you start getting titans You get targeted, so you pretty much have to fate players to cover the one Fate action You can cover, also, having more titans down helps a lot, always, always have pyros in the second stage while there are two on the third, so they will have a struggle to choose wich to trap
What I find interesting about Hades is that he doesn't have cards with abilities allowing him to bring cards back from the discard pile. The one that lets him mill through his deck is Eye of the Fates, yet that card can also hurt Hades when you could end up losing valuable cards.
Just got introduced to this game, and picked hades as my character. I had an unfortunate run of events, where I didn’t pull any titans until turn 3-4 ish, and didn’t get Chariot until late game. That said, I got very close to winning, with two titans at Olympus, before I was group targeted with fates and really set back. I had a massive hurdle that took many turns to set up a counter for, which by then someone else won next turn. Something I really thought was neat was that I played Panic on turn 1 into the gardens, which I thought really helped me out, gaining a lot of power there and then leveraging two discounted plays. Me and my sister went home obsessed with this game, so suffice to say I’m raring to play more.
Video idea: changes you would make to (insert villain) in Villainous. For Hades, I would make his allies much cheaper and also make his Hydra 5 power. It's hard to kill Zeus and it's just SO expensive to do anything with him.
Thanks again for these videos! I always look forward to the release of these and I appreciate this one especially! In my games Hades has been a running joke as he is enjoyable to play as, but absolutely never wins (although many times he would often have won at the start of his next turn). Those fate cards in his deck are killers: especially ‘Go the Distance’ and ‘Lightening Bolt’ have been especially damaging in our games. Can’t wait for the next one and if it’s Dr. Facilier I’m especially looking forward to it! Cheers!
Corey Mike yes his fate deck is hard... one of the most tough. Those cards can suck even more because you can’t stop them either! I always try to make a push after dating has just happened or if I know multiple dates are covered. Next one is dr facilier. :D yay!
These are so good I literally watch them all the time to remind myself of a villain I’ve Forgotten- id love to see a strategy guide like this but geared more towards 2 player where I find fating is far more frequent
Yeah 2 player kinda makes the game more unbalanced. Some villains are not good at two player at all! my best advice would be to only do worse villain matchups. Hades vs Cruella or Mother Gothell. or Lotso!
Played this last night for the first time with my brother and sister and I happen to pick Hades. I picked up things pretty fast and was on a roll but made few mistakes along the way and lost. I thought the game was weird but I had a blast and now Im here watching strategy guides lmao.
@@LordoftheBoard your guides have been super helpful...especially when I watch one right before I play my wife. It's the only way I can win. Looking forward to the videos. Thanks for all of the videos so far. They've been a blast to watch. Now...let's drop the beat.
Just picked up the game and the expansion thanks to your videos! Thank you so much! Also wanted to know if you had a link for where you got the card sleeves you use?
i will give a important notes myself 1. with "pyros" playing hades around i don't think hes the most important i think its "Arges" the cyclops because you need to build up your power to play those titans and other abilties/allies. the key is pyros can only do 1 titan where he goes since they could be bundled in on spot on the board so "planet's align" does a better job of freeing them since it doesn't matter where. 2. "get ready to rumble" another disagree its fairly safe to discard near the begining its just better to dig for titans and allys to prep for the heroes and movement 3. yes you want to fate often to cover those top fates 4. "Hydros" believe it or not is actually the second most important because like mentioned keeps heroes from moving and there are times they may need to move the hero in a fate to stop you hard hydros can hender that option 5. if you have "panic" always always always play him at the gardens that's the location with gain 3 and play 2 cards 6. im gonna say don't discard the non titan allies they may have better advantage than they looks the most obvious reason is if your not drawing mortality potions (yes better to play titans first but the non-titan allys can clear the board) and "i rule" its only worth holding for late game and not beginning (besides you may not even have allys in discard) 7. Most of the time Conditions are discard fodder but "ruthless" depends on who your playing Prince john you barely ever dump it. but "rage" may come in your favor of placing the heroes where hydros is. 8. the chariot is most important but 1. don't rely on it since "gospel truth" will hit the board eventually 2. shouldn't always use it for double move on a titan since you may want to gain 3 power or play another card or discard. 9. i would advise to not boomerang "hydra" on beginning once at least 3-4 titans are out then your good to go for the boomerang 10. this is probably the most important thing of them all by mathematics consider the objective getting 4 titans to olympus because that would make it so they only got 2 chances to stop it and the only things that will stop it is "zeus" "lightning bolt" and hitting atleast 2 "going the distance" (hera and pegasus you need another one as well) and to go further than that the odds gets even worse for the opponents if hydros is there with all the heroes they lost them. then only both going the distance and "lightning bolt" can stop you and they may be disgarded already
@@LordoftheBoard thank you heres another key to why "Arges" is the most important its not just your movements that give you power how its worded "go the Distance" and "Pegasus" also triggers the power gain
In your opinion, do Hades, Ursula, and Scar need slight variants to be viable at winning? The odds seem heavily stacked against them, particularly in 2 player games
I would say in 2 player games there is a way to make scar work it’s just harder to get the ball rolling. With Hades his fate deck can destroy so I believe there Mabye should be a slight adjustment. But I truly find that the beauty of this game lies in the unknown strategies you slowly find while playing. I may do a deeper dive into hades in the future as I have found some things no one has covered on him just yet.
When you attach a Mortality Potion on a Hero like Zeus (or any Hero) do you have to be at the Underworld to defeat/vanquish that Hero, or can you defeat/get rid of him/them right away?
It doesn't seem too hard to vanquish Zeus with a Titan. You just have to move Zeus to a Titan and vanquish him while he has some mortality potion. Granted you're going to need either two Titans or an Achilles heel to be able to vanquish him since he's a 5.
I made a nice play to vanquish Zeus in a game recently. I had hydros on a location. Zeus and Pain were at the location to Hydros's right. I moved those 2 to hydros (Zeus was now 4 strength), played Achilles heel on Zeus (2 strength), and vanquished him with Pain.
Scar and HAdes are the Worst Villains in the game. Personally I think Hades is even Worse than Scar different to many other people. And both are an excellent proof of how most balance issues in this game come from the fate decks
So I started playing with my sister and her friend and I tried hadies and they say I’m only aloud to move my Titans with the ready to rumble card. I just want to know if that is the only way to move my titans or not. I don’t know if I’m aloud to move with the move card selection.
Hi there! We just started playing villainous and so far I’ve only been using Hades! I had a question - is there a way for a hero to remove a Titan from my realm? I know titans can remove heroes from the realm but is the other way around possible? I know I, as hades, have the ability to discard a Titan if I choose to use the Titan to remove a Hero but is that the only way a Titan can be removed?
Green Jedi haha you caught it! Yes I was brushing up on my voice acting skills. Zeus says “I will get you hades!” Thanks for watching and supporting the channel guys :)
Hey It is still a consideration. I have said though that as a general rule, the cards and locations I talk about in these videos are good for the villain, so If you want to know how to ruin your opponent cover the spots with Fates that I describe as powerful for the villain's :)
I notice in all your videos when you're talking about holding cards in your hand to play later, you say "keep on to those cards". I'm curious about this difference in phrasing (at least different from me). I always say "hold on" to cards. Is there a reason you say "keep on" vs. "hold on", is there a second language in your arsenal or some regional dialect that causes you to use that phrasing? Anybody else notice this or is it just me?
@@LordoftheBoard I haven't played with his since seeing it, some ways you talk about using card together can help that I see. Part of this is that I mostly play 1 on 1, which means I am being fated more often. Also, since I got Perfectly Wretched yesterday, it may be a few games before getting back to Hades.
Just curious are you allowed to move Titans by using the move ally spots? And I’m a bit confused the vanquish space. Is that the only way to kill a hero? Also are you allowed to win if there are still heroes? Sorry I know but this part is a bit confusing
Okay one thing I’m so confused about: do you need to move TO Mount Olympus at the start of your turn to win? Or do you just need 3 Titans there (untrapped) without Hades being there himself?
I have a technical question lol hi from the future hehe so I was playing with my dad today ( he was hades and I was the evil queen ) and he had a trapped titan already in mount Olympus and so Zeus was there too. After defeating Zeus he had a question about the trapped titan. Does the titan need to be untrapped even after Zeus is defeated or does it gets untrapped when Zeus is gone? And my question in case it cannot be untrapped just by defeating Zeus can you use a card and untrapped him even if Zeus is still there? And if a titan were to move to Zeus location it gets trapped but the other titan that was there already doesn’t right? And how exactly does Hera works? You put her somewhere and it traps that titan but can you use a card to untrapped the titan even if Hera is still there? And if another titan gets moved there, does it gets trapped? Sorry for the technical questions lol I just cannot find these answers anywhere Hope you have a nice day and are being safe :)
It would have to be untrapped. The titan can be untrapped while Zeus is at the location or not. Same with Hera - the titan can be untrapped even if already at the location
