What remote? I sure if you google the brand of the system you have you can find the steps to program it if needed. Just google “how to program (my your brand of what ever your looking for) remotes” and it should come up
Okay so i did some research and found that system is a copy of the Omega REC43T. So here are the instructions to see if it helps. www.dropbox.com/s/95qz89otjyy20cf/rec-43%20instruction%20sheet.pdf?dl=0 If this doesn’t work I would buy this and use it instead of the controller you have www.ebay.com/itm/EXCALIBUR-ALARMS-REC43T-Omega-Proline-REC-43T-Keyless-Entry-System-/255169022703?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l6249&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0
@@DinasGarage 2 things, 1st you are amazing and I appreciate you taking time to research that for me and 2nd i must have got a bad unit because thats exactly how i been programming it.
Good news, I reinstalled the programmer snd got it working. Its basically the same way ive been doing it but it worked tonight for some reason. Wanted to say thanks again for the diagram info.
I wired up every thing as shown. The poppers work great but not with the key fobs. I paired them as directed but no activation. My transmitter didn't have an antenna why others I see do. Would this make a difference?
How can I wire 2 of these solenoids to the one red button? I am using them to open my side doors on my van for my wheelchair lift and would like to operate them at the same time but I seem to be doing something wrong when I wire them together. Is it possible and what size Fuze should I use? Thanks if you reed this I liked the vid it was very helpful!
Hey Thanks, I would use a relay 1) +12V BATT to terminals 87 and 85 on the relay. 2) switch to 86 on the relay. 3) relay terminal 30 to the + side of both solenoid Hope this helps
Hey thanks for watching! With your issue I would recommend to first check the connections to the actuator and make sure it’s not shorting to ground causing that issue. Make sure the connections are not corroded and tight.
I would recommend this kit as it has everything and no need to buy anything else. www.ebay.com/itm/183086785156?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=TNuxJHmpSny&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=yFGVLz48SmC&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
I don’t have the part number but here is a link to some. They were just like this. 5 Pack 40/30 AMP 12V DC Waterproof Relay and Harness - Heavy Duty 12 AWG Tinned Copper Wires, 5-PIN SPDT Automotive Relay www.amazon.com/dp/B074FSZWVT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_BDX4QXKYSEBV133KCQMB
Sorry for the late response I used 1 amp diodes found here 100PCS 1A 1000V Diode 1N4007 IN4007 DO-41 www.amazon.com/dp/B00ATNGEQW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_QRSBekV998PRD Thanks for watching and the comment!
Hi, thanks for the video very helpful and informative. What gauge wire should I use for the battery wire and how is it hooked up with 2 solenoids at the battery terminal? Thanks
Thanks for your video. Ive installed driver and passenger side door popper and hooked up my emergency Switch already and each on has their rely onto my 2000 door silverado. I just dont know how to install the transmitter so i can be able to open doors with remote. Can you help me with this thanks.
Here is the diagram for your system Just follow this and it should be set any questions let me know! www.dropbox.com/s/z9kqorxk5kudm1t/Photo%20Dec%2002%2C%2017%2026%2005.jpg?dl=0
Hi Dina, could you please send a diagram of how to hook this up with no push button. I have an auto lock keyless entry kit. The blue and green wires go to each solenoid for the front doors and then the red wire to the battery and black to ground? How do I add on the relay for power to the starter/ignition kill? Thanks man your a big help 😃
The Diagram is up it would be wiring diagram 1 on the link I posted.. yes you have that correct the green and blue to the relay of the solenoids don’t hook them up directly to the solenoid it will fry the control unit of the keyless entry. Just follow the wiring diagram 1 and don’t add a back up switch if you don’t have it, But I would get a back up switch and hide it in a good spot for you to get to it in case keys get stuck inside.
Thanks for your reply. I’ll add the button in no problem, I’ll follow your instructions in the video with a diode, do I hook the 2 solenoids together with the power wire for the control unit straight to the battery with a 40 amp fuse? Or should I connect the 2 solenoids together on a 40 amp fuse and then connect the control unit on its own as it has a 2 amp fuse and then connect them directly to the battery?
@DanBoy Okay, you will need 2 relays like I show in the video. 87 on relay 1 goes to drivers side door solenoid or lock, 86 and 30 both go to a Constant 12V source ( you can tap into the constant under the dash, make sure you have a multimeter and find a constant positive 12V with key off) 85 goes to the wire from the keyless entry so it would be the blue or the green. Then the Backup Button goes to 85 also make sure the diode strip faces the wire coming from the keyless entry. Then repeat with the Passenger side and use relay 2. You can go straight to the battery just make sure you fuse the wire to the battery no more then 12 inches from the battery post with least a 60 amp fuse. Then that wire can provide constant 12V to the relays and the keyless entry. Hope this helps any questions feel free to ask.
I bought a kit like this which included key fobs and a transponder. For some reason the button is working properly and opening the door, but the transponder is not sending a signal to the solenoids to open the doors. therefore the key fobs arent doing anything. can you give me any insight?
This is the Kit I got. www.ebay.com/itm/DIY-Shaved-Door-Popper-Kit-2-Door-2-Remotes-35-lbs-Popper-System-/142645539812?hash=item21365633e4www.ebay.com/itm/DIY-Shaved-Door-Popper-Kit-2-Door-2-Remotes-35-lbs-Popper-System-/142645539812?hash=item21365633e4 Tell him I Sent ya. Martin is a great guy!
Thanks for the comment! The kit I used is this one www.ebay.com/itm/362650488124 From martinhood on eBay! Great seller and quality parts let him know I sent ya! I did install the poppers as I want the door to be opened easier. The solenoids do have enough force to open the doors but then could get stuck on the latch hence the popper being better.
Hi. I’m looking for your diagram you posted. It’s not showing up. It says it’s deleted. Could you repost it. Thanks. You did great job on explaining many people couldn’t. Thanks again.
@@DinasGarage thank u I have a deeper question so this might be long .. I’ve had poppers for years unfortunately 2 diff types of people worked on my car.. I had my car sitting for 7 years now I’m doing all mechanical stuff to get it working which I did but only 1 door pops open and not driver.. I bought new solenoid like the one in your vid the one before was smaller and all the wires are bout 14 and 16 gauge . It should b easy plug and play but it doesn’t work I took the old relays out and put new ones & nothing . I tried using 16gauge with new solenoid straight to battery and it works.. so right now I’m just mad as hell bcuz there’s so many wires and there all red so I’m like wtf… the way they wired it was opposite of what u did. The 30 is the wire they used for power straight to solenoid and 87&86 I believe are bridged .. there’s 4 relays under my dash and the wires are ran to a alarm and it just looks like a cluster fuk.. if u have any ideas what I should do or look for I’d greatly appreciate it.. I even tried doing it your way and nothing I fig there’s a short somewhere.. I’ve done this stuff before but again it was super easy just plug and play no alarm was added so this is new to me and I can’t take it to the people that worked on it before for many reasons.. besides I’d rather do it myself but if I can get something to start with then I’ll go from there again any ideas or help I’d appreciate it bro thank you.
Honestly I would just remove it all and start from scratch. I do the same when I have to work on things that other people have done. That way if it doesn’t work you can diagnose it from what you have done. I don’t trust anyones work I have to repair so that is why I take it all off and start fresh with my own things.
@@DinasGarage I appreciate the feedback, that’s what I fig I was going to do.. unfortunately I found the fuse that leads to the relay and alarm is not receiving power so the whole wire it’s burnt out.. I put new fuse in and every time I test it nothing… unfortunately I don’t have income coming in so I guess I’m just gonna rig it for time being. I’m just gonna stretch the wires from door to the way back trunk bcuz that’s where my battery is. And hook it up the way you did in your video with the button..so for time being I’d have to open trunk just to pop the driver door..
Hey JD I'm a recently subscribe to your channel I just want to know if you can do automatic the door opener for my truck it's it's got it's called a soft shell cover for the bed but one that actually open up all the way and close myself with a remote control
