It is very exhausting. I'm getting to the point where I'm done explaining this as well. They'll never listen. Even if Straykids themselves said HE NEVER BULLIED THEM, people will still scream "it's my opinion and I believe he bullied and hurt them"

For the bullying allegations, Bro, Felix would have KNOCKED him out with his Taekwondo training. Chan would have NEVER allowed it to happen. You really think he'd let Woojin hurt IN and Minho? NO. As for that game, everyone was enjoying it but after this situation, people twisted it out of context.

The fact that a lot of people are just saying “I trust SKZ, Felix said #8” is so extremely scary. Like Felix could say anything these people will believe it because he’s cute.

I encountered a comment which said that Woojin is selfish for leaving the group because "he wants to have all the spotlight on himself." My immediate reaction is: what spotlight, bestie? Back when I didn't know about Skz that much, I only knew Chan, Hyunjin, Changbin, Han, and Felix. I had never even heard of Minho, Seungmin, and Jeongin. Let alone Woojin. I could see that person's point if Woojin were a popular member, because if he were, his departure would take away a huge amount of fans with him. But, no. He was one of the least popular members. When he debuts, his views barely get 1M in less than a month even though he was from a JYPE boy group. Many people want their faves to go solo and leave their current groups when they think their faves are mistreated. So why can't the exact condition get applied to Woojin too? I don't know whether JYPE did mistreat him or not, but seeing Woojin seems much happier now even if his career seems to start from the bottom again, you can see that he is in a much HEALTHIER working environment now. Why would that be bad? Another comment said it's shady that he left Skz. But if you pay attention to the kind of music he releases, and the songs he covers on his channel, you'll see that his musical genre is DIFFERENT with Skz. All idols, first and foremost, are artists. They definitely have a vision of what their art would become. The rest of the members felt like Skz's current sound fit their vision, therefore they stay. Woojin decided he wanted a different vision and probably knew that the other eight could still thrive without him. So there's nothing to lose, just a bit of sad times (especially from the Skz party) because they cannot work together anymore. Something as simple as going separate ways when you can't work it out anymore shouldn't be made as complex as this Woojin's situation 😔

If Woojin had been Felix or Hyunjin, and they said those exact words in a statement, those same people hating in Woojin would understand that the translation was bad and they'll read every post explaining what they really meant

5:44 just wanted to add a little to this, I'm a stay who entered in God's menu era and found about Woojin's situation deciding to stay neutral. Now I was pretty curious because there isn't a lot of him. In Stray kids videos released before his departure I always see how he gets little screen time compared to the other members, he also didn't talk much (or he is simply shy, or someone/something is impeding him to do so, maybe he was scared he'll say something the company didn't wanted him to? Anyways this is just what I've personally seen and is very subjective I guess 9:38 the same thing I tell to stays that support Hyunjin with his current problematic but won't hesitate to hate on Woojin, I've read comments saying "he's too cute to have done that" like- (Btw no hate on Hyunjin, I love him too just calling stays with double morality)

I'm still angry at a point when ppl keep saying thus shit like "Stray Kids and Woojin are not friends anymore" and I was like, How do you know? Who told you? Who supposed to prove that. Then tikToKers uploaded a part of Everglow Up's video about How Woojin Bullied SKZ, especially the Monsta X Wonho thing. Then they give dumb opinions saying that "Monsta X and Wonho still be friends but Stray Kids and Woojin are not friend anymore". I was really disappointed and angry knowing this.

I always had a feeling that of course chan or the rest of the boys dont have to disclose what happened for him to leave but i just feel like, if Chan can risk himself spoiling a song before a comeback (which is strictly advised not to do in the company) he said that "if it's for stay then i dont care" because felix was afraid of getting in trouble and chan said "I have nothing to lose". And if Chan didnt HAVE to tell us that hissong was not about Woojin. He could have let us believed it was about him without saying anything but it bothered him to the point where he had to tell us it was not about him. If he has that energy i would wish for him to say something about it. Maybe not exactly reveal what happened but to maybe just tell us that this rumor of them being bullied isnt true. Or to just stand his ground about how horrible his fans are treating other people. They are literally victimizing them making them seem like weaklinks just to justify their "opinion" and that's not right. Plus the fans knkw they cannot speak about it and they are taking advantage of it. I kniw he doesnt have to do this but it would be nice for CHan to step his foot and talk to fans about sonething so his fans can sitdown for once. Thays if they are even fans, I quoted someone's tweet that someone said something negative about woojin. I said "what if chan tells us one day that he didnt bully them, then what? Are you gonna go against chan now?" And someone called woojin a r*p*st and proceeded to say that Yes they will go against him. Like what? Go against him for clearing things up? What the hell is wrong with his fans?? They say "Oh we listen to chan he is trustworthy" but ignore all the hints and his teachings about being respectful once he turns off that vlive camera.

When I discovered Stray Kids I didn't know that Woojin has left the group. He was one of the first members I've recognized while I was listening to their early stuff on Spotify (the other one was Felix because, you know, he has that D E E P V O I C E) because of his voice. When I've found out about his departure I was a little sad at first, but then I thought "Well, maybe he's doing a solo career, just like Wonho" and I've done my research about it. I'm glad that now he's doing well and has many fans that support him and recognize his talent like me. Unfortunately, I've also found out what STAYs have done to him in 2020 (from the bullying accusations to the SA scandal) and that pissed me off. I still can't understand why a fanbase can be like this towards someone who didn't do anything to them. But what made me angrier is what I've found out in the Italian fandom. Recently I've found a RU-vid channel that is making Italian subs for Stray Kids' videos. They're subbing the first season of Two Kids Room at the moment and everytime they put an episode where Woojin is in it, they censor his name in the title, don't put his face in the thumbnail and they put a disclaimer at the beginning like "This is a three-year-old video where Woojin was a member of the group. If you're feeling uncomfortable, please don't watch this video". At least they have the decency to not blur his face, but seriously, it's like they're trying to erase him from the group's past or something. Now, I still support Stray Kids, STAYs with toxic behaviour will never stop me from doing that, but I'll try to stay away from the fandom as much as possible. I don't want to meet people on the internet that will mock me because I also support Woojin. If they still believe that he's a terrible person even after everything was debunked then it's their problem, not mine.

This just proves that without complete context, people go out of their way to make sense of anything just to satisfy themselves. I understand that not knowing the full story can be very frustrating, but people really need to put boundaries between themselves and their idols because it's unhealthy. It also shows how narrow minded a lot of people are. Thank you so much for making this video, I feel much more educated regarding the situation.

I’m so happy that Woojin has moved on to bigger and better things and hasn’t let a bunch of 14 year old internet trolls with too much time on their hands, bully him 😤! Without even really knowing Woojin since I've become a Stay just a few months ago (and still... Girl... just because you are a fan you do NOT know your idols...) he gives me the vibe of a person who thought a lot about leaving JYPE AND StrayKids. I'm sure he and Chan and all the members sat together for some time and talked about it and he explained to them why he wants to leave and they accepted it. I think of him as that kind of person and if he wants to tell us the reasons he will tell us. But he doesn't have to. We are not the members of StrayKids, we are not his family, not his friends. We are his fans and it is his choice, who to tell people. It is a huge step to leave an agency as big as JYPE and a group. I'm sure he knew that his leaving will have some kind of bad taste to it and people will hate him or the group for it. He knows the industry he is working in. Because of that I think he thought long about it and talked to different people. At least that is what I would do. Talk to people and get their opinion. And as I already said, I think he talked to the members about it and I believe they support him. I hope you understand my rambling... Sorry ^^"

Someone told me that he should have never provided an alibi saying he was busy with solo activities and should have said something else. But was he supposed to lie? Training is a job for idols and they train more than they see their family so him saying that was exactly what he should have said because if they provided a date and time, he could have easily proven that alibi true with cctv footage or other recorded videos

Why does this video somehow make me feel educated

I always thought people over reacted about woojin, bluring his face out of videos as if he is a serial killer. He could be guilty but as long as there is not a single strand of proof he might as well be innocent. Accusing innocent people of terrible things is just as bad as not believing victims, that is why there needs to be proof before we can either say he is a terrible person or the victims are lying. Right now we need to be unbiased and objective and not make rushed conclusions, maybe there will be more evidence in the future for/about either parties. But the "proof" available now isn't proof it's just a he said she said thing, and shaming/bullying Woojin isn't ok either if you don't know he is guilty, and you just assume he is.

I have never gotten into Stray Kidz, since their “noisy” music is very overbearing to me. The one time i watched their cover of Fancy by TWICE, Woojin was the only one that caught my attention. Now that Woojin is outta the group and being notoriously bullied and mentally abused by his former fandom, I say there goes my last chance of getting into Stray Kidz’ music and they only got their toxic fandom to blame.

I’ve seen so many videos of SKZ as an OT9 and an OT8 group and... I don’t see any major differences between how they behaved with or without Woojin... It doesn’t look like him being around or not makes them any happier or not. Y’all know the saying “Boys will be boys”? This is what it means. It means that guys rough house with each other a lot. It doesn’t refer to a bunch of behaviors and mannerisms that it’s usually used to defend men. But in this context, it makes perfect sense. Woojin wasn’t mistreating the other members. That’s that.

People just believing what others are saying without a base is pretty sad. I never believed the rumors from the beginning because they were shady and also I've been stanning Woojin since predebut and okay we don't know much about idols, but still you could see that they were heavly monitored during fansings and also you could tell how much Skz loved each others! Honestly this is the first time I even saw the "reasons" as to why Woojin was bad. I got into Stray Kids since last year so pretty recently, and I knew about Woojin but I only knew that he left and that nobody wanted to talk about him and people hated him. That's it. I asked multiple people and tried to do research and figure it out but none of it made sense. The first legitimate answer I got was because he was bullied out of the group by fans because he was "gay" for Chan...that's the reason I was told. Obviously I didn't believe that but its just insane to now finally know the reasons and know how dumb it all was. I've only been a fan for a short period of time but now I barely go into the fandom because even now its extremely toxic. Woojin is still extremely talented and I'm so proud of him.

The bullying thing never made sense to me, even if he was bullying the members do stays really think Chan, Changbin, and Minho would sit by and let that happen? Chan loves Straykids more than anything I highly doubt he would let one of the members abuse another. I called people out for this for so long and they still claimed from the "videos." like dude they know they're being filmed do you really think he would bully someone on camera and even off-camera? There are previous videos of SKZ showing affection to Woojin that debunk the "bullying" videos. Seriously why can't Stay grow up?

I think this situation just reinforces two things more than anything. 1. We don't know these idols personally, and they are within their rights to have some sort of privacy in their lives. Sometimes personal reasons are "personal" for a reason, and we shouldn't force it out of these idols. 2. Don't take everything on the internet for face value. Not saying this applies to everybody, but people are capable of lying and the internet is no exception. Someone can falsely accuse somebody for something serious, people would believe it, drag the victim online, and the accuser is sitting back silently gawking at the situation. (Just described the situation in a nutshell)

I completely agree with the facts in this video. Ever since I saw all these other youtube kpop videos that talk badly about Woojin and calling him a bully and other horrible names. I stayed neutral ever since these fake fans made those false rumors about him, it made me both sad for woojin being cyberbullied and angry that these quote on quote " fans" will not stop being so stubborn and arrogant about believing the lies made on poor woojin. I love all of the members of stray kids with all my heart, and seeing this video made me have hope that woojin will always stay strong and these liars will learn to back off. I've never been one to believe lies about my favorite idols cause those rumors are overly dramatic and sometimes these rumors are over the top to the point where it's straight up confusing.

There's a reason I thank the idols saying "thank you for sharing so much of yourself". The word to be highlighted is "sharing". The fact is that they deserve their privacy, they have every right to choose the level of their sharing, and that level is up to them on individual instance basis. It is not mandatory for them to share everything and anything at same level of openness every time. Respect their privacy, don't read into things, and keep on open mind about things.

Hi I'm new to the fandom and I've see so many people hating on woojin. I'm also tired of these woojin haters. Thank you for this video. I wish people would stop hating in him.

another fantastic vid! just one thing, on the point of him just being able to walk away from jype if he was unhappy: contracts are, though not invincible, legally binding. one usually can't just up and leave if they want to, if that were the case we'd have way fewer cases of idol mistreatment. from what i understand what usually happens is that if an artist feels like the company has breached the contract they can sue to get out of it (like elkie of clc did) or there needs to be something legally or constitutionally wrong with the contract for it to be declared void (i think this is what happened with kris, luhan and tao) and it goes both ways a company can also sue its artists for breach of contract etc. the reason why i'm bringing this up is to point out that got7 didn't choose to endure their mistreatment, they legally had to. if jype's behavior was crappy but didn't technically violate their contract the best they could do was wait it out. there's also a lot more nuance to the got7 situation like how jype started off treating them well up until like 2017 then progressively started mismanaging them until everything just became unbearable in 2020 (in 2018, they had even expressed a desire to be like 2pm and stay with the company for 10+ years) but that's a discussion for another day. so back to woojin, like i said all contracts are legally binding but contractual clauses are different depending on the company. my theory is that maybe woojin's personal reasons fell into a category that made it contractually permissible for him to leave without legal consequences e.g. family issues, health issues etc. basically i agree with you. he wasn't kicked it out or blacklisted. he left jype on decent terms, with the company even wishing him well and encouraging fans to continue supporting him. also like you said his personal reasons are non of our business and fans need to understand their boundaries and stop acting so entitled 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

The thing that is the most ridiculous for me is the fact that as kpop stans and fans we've ALL dealt with bad translations/subtitles and weird phrasings that don't translate well. And just by hearing "weird rumor" and "absurd situation" I can immediately assume the original meaning was more along the lines off a polite form of saying "a strange/unknown (to the person aka woojin) event has taken place/controversy is making it's rounds" and it's "a situation that doesn't make sense to him" like in he doesn't see the validity in the "rumors". Come on guys we've dealt with worse translations and subtitles than this especially when it comes to polite speech, which statements usually are in. I've been looking into chinese media recently (c-pop, dramas, manhuas, etc) and believe me the translations for some things are a lot worse and you see these weird phrasings all the time cuz somethings simply cannot be translated (especially when you have something as complex and metaphorical as the various chinese languages) let alone while retaining the original essence and you just have to base it off context and experience clues. The original translation for Woojin's statement looks to me like a poorly translated Manhua from first glance, it's obvious that stuff was lost in translation and you have to read between the lines and as a whole to get the context and jist of what is being said. You're bound to fail by analyzing a poor translation word by word instead of looking at the big picture.

The edited bullying videos were not believable or credible. They didn’t even look like he was bullying just goofing around like all of the other members were doing.

Videos woojin makes the members uncomfortable. Meanwhile Hyunjin cuddling woo. Felix cuddling woo and holding his hands. Han cuddling woo and playfully trying to kiss him. Chan holding hands with woo and hugging him. Minho letting woo spin him around and looking so comfy in his arms. Seungmin hugging woo and complementing him. Changbin Hugging woo and holding his hand and making sure woo didn't hurt his head when chan and woo were playing the tag game. jeongin back hugging woo and laying on him and clingy af with woo. Another thing with these woojin haters is they run around praising the members for being rough and playful and touchy saying awe they love each other yet woojin does it and he's sexually and physically Abusing them? Going back to 2kids room all the amazing and loving things han and felix and the others said to woojin and their still saying he bullied them and they were uncomfy with him. Another thing that makes nooooo sense is that stay would know That Bangchan wouldn't let anyone hurt the members. Felix and Minho know martial arts. Felix has a black belt in Taekwondo. Minho did body guard training. Hyunjin is taller then woo and way more masculine. (he's not just a drama llama) And they are surrounded by staff when woo is on camera supposedly bullying the members. Don't make much sense when you add these things up.

I’ve said this one and I’ll say it again, I have been a stay since the survival show, and this entire “scandal” or whatever it was, was horrifying. I hate myself for this, but I have been slowly drifting from the fandom after this happened. I can never look at the fandom the same way as I see it becoming toxic, people digging up there personal lives, creating rumors from a 2 second clip. I miss the days when stays were a nice community, if this es days ever existed.

The reason people considered it shady that Woojin could leave just like that is because these contracts are just that strict...there's a reason they're called slave contracts. This is also the reason why "GOT7 chose to sit through the mistreatment". Because they had nothing they could do! Its not like they can violate their contracts. What you could've pointed out however is the significant difference in treatment between idols of different generations. These contracts originally used to be for 11-14 years, but now they've been shortened to 7 years. Similarly the clauses have been made more beneficial for the idols. This gives idols a lot more freedom. Thus each generation is probably more freer than the one before (and probably more susceptible to cancel culture).

On the topic of people not understanding why Woojin left... I think it has to do w/ how kpop (the fans and/or company) really emphasizes how close the members are & how important their bond is. I guess seeing only 1 member leave like that, well these people take it as a betrayal of that bond. They're being really parasocial about it basically, getting offended on the other member's behalf.

Let's talk about the topic that I was thinking about a lot. I've been 'following this topic now since last year. I've seen fans rip out or cut out Woojin out of their photo album. I wasn't a fan, so I didn't even really look into the situation. So I thought everything is confirmed, but it still left me uneasy. It seemed all too much. I think I even once saw a clip of Woojin 'bullying' Felix, and from an outsiders perspective, everything seems very real what 'fans' tried to make you believe. But it all seemed so weird to me because... You're telling me, there are nine people in the group, one was bullying all thw other eight member's. Dude, I would bully him out of the group. They could very much stand against him if he was bullying the entire group. C'mon. He ain't The Rock. People have nothing to really fear. And I want to remind you, I ,personally, think Stray Kids would stand up for one another if one member would be bullied. But it was tge entire group. So they didn't have to lose anything either ways

I disagree with what you said at the beginning, about IM. During photoshoots, artists really have no time to look at the clothing. They get thrown a shirt their way, have to put it on quickly, get pictures taken, take it off and put on a different shirt. IM probably never even noticed the colour - let alone see that phrase in an unknown language and think it was more than a pattern. He really has no fault in this.
