Thanks for letting me edit this video (again)!! I’m happy everyone likes the animations I made, I do stuff like that a lot for my own channel so I wanted to see if I could fit it into your tabletop gameplay, and I’m very happy about how it turned out yayayay 🎉
The new editor made changes that were "small" but had a huge impact on the videos. The new damage animations are clean but I REALLY liked the parts where they would highlight the cards that were being talked about to make things easier to follow for viewers who weren't active during the format. Happy to see you both working together
The attack and ability animations with the pokémon cries and damage totals are such a delightful touch. I found myself using RU-vid’s double-tap-left-to-scrub-back-10-seconds feature every single time one fired so I could see it again. Excellent work all around. I think these tabletop game plays are some of the best card game content anywhere.
Take me back to this era. I can never forget that my first Pokémon pack, I pulled a full art Yvetal EX. I then got three more Yvetal exs and made my first deck around it. I used this deck to get first place at my first ever local tournament. Yvetal EX will always have a special place in my heart.
That's so sick dude to be able to play with such an important memory creating card. Maxie's Yveltal was one of my favorite decks of the era in expanded :)
I have gotten out of Pokémon collecting/playing since tag teams took over the end of the sun&moon era. I’m trying to get back into it as exs have been reintroduced. I loved seeing this nostalgic video! Id love to see more throwback deck tabletops!
2016 is slowly becoming retro.. I absolutely love this format and I wish we could go back to this iconic era. Love the new animations too. Super clean 🤙🏼
The animation on the hoopa ex looked so cool when he put it into play. The outline of the hoopa in the card with the little sound plus the highlight of the text to signal an ability activation was really cool. Would play more ptcgL if it looked as good as this.
I played so much Yveltal EX when it was legal, especially with Garbodor! I think the main thing is that it doesn't solely rely on one big swing turn, but that just ALWAYS being good will eventually get you the game.
I was on about a two year break from competive pokemon.. first deck I picked up and used it rest of the season and the following season constantly making tweaks! It was crazy! I remember switching from it once to use ninetales amongus lol! Good times great memory’s!
Now a days I’m picking a different deck every tournament and definitely not placing as well…. Goes with not playing as competitively, but really proves to me how one can get a deck dialed in.
Placed my first order from Full Grip and got it this week! Unfortunately my cards didn't arrive in time for last Friday but THIS Friday, I'll be taking my Forretress ex/Wo-Chien ex deck to my LGS!
Unfortunately, I wasn’t into Pokémon in the X and Y era, and I’m truly regretting it. Man, that Garbodor was toxic! Volcanism was super scary too though!
