The doom symbol also symbolizes The Tumor though, which in a way kind of fits with the skull within the aspect. A skull is from something already dead, and The Tumor is literally a world-ending explosive. Dead and soon to die, lost and soon forgotten. Morality having little meaning because of a distinct absense of true power; true control over the world. Bah, I'm rambling again.

As well as ghost Aradia being a thing before sgrub even started), It still fits strong on continuation thematics since it continues their afterlives just as they remembered their original lives through their memories.

Interestingly, BKEW described the connection between Space and Time to beginnings and ends.

I think we could even look at how cherub's think and how their "society" works to parse that out further The malevolent cherubs think in terms of Rage, seeking destruction and negativity, while the benevolent cherubs think in terms of Hope, seeking peace and positivity Weirdly, Alt!Calliope seems tied to the Doom aspect, as she's concerned with the death of Lord English and the end of the Alpha Timeline, while Caliborn and Lord English are tied to Life as they strive for eternal life and thus eternal destruction Cherub "society" and "culture" is a gross mixture of Hope and Rage, since they have a strange fixation on the Zilly stuff and Jujus which seem very Hope-y, as they're in the realm of imagination and belief, but also very Rage-y, since Jujus and the zilly-sucker and culture are all very contrived and confusing. That could all be a reach but it's interesting regardless

Well, it's stated in the comic itself that the cherubs draw from the the core forces of paradox space while mating, whether it be the concept of "Do as you wish," and/or the the aspects, AKA: the building block particles of reality.

It's interesting that it's so downplayed in the comic, because I think that's just the nature of Doom! Doom players tend to exhaust their energy in big, monumental outbursts like Sollux moving the meteor, so once their energy is expended they resign themselves to the default Doom player stance of watching events from afar Again we see that with Mituna, he changed the course of Doom with one single act that fried both his brain and his powers, leaving him to sit back and watch things happen from there. Both of those examples may just be specific to the Captors, as well as their classes' interactions with Doom, but they're illuminating anyways

Breath-void-heart: Would have a pretty terrifying Freymotiff, like a soul hurricane that leaves opponents with nothing. Mind-blood-light: Sounds like The Machine from Person of Interest. Intelligent, all-knowing and values their relationship with it's creator/friends.

Note that the four possible triadic relationships are all that of the cardinals with either their opposite mutables (for Space and Time) or their opposite fixed aspects (for Blood and Breath).

Classpects are stated in the comic as being inherently shaped by the perception of the user in any specific instance, with the nature of the class and aspect each providing more of a scaffold than a ruleset. Doom and despair go hand-in-hand to serve your friends with it perhaps think on where that can lead. Bear in mind that being doomed to serve your "friends" may also come up in such terms. I tend to forget specific qualities of aspects, but I'm sure there's a list of them out there, look through the words in it, and combine them within your class, that says what your powers would be like alone.

i suppose your not asking me but here's my 2 cents on the knight of doom, i like the way the way OD describes the aspect of doom so i may use it as a reference point here. Also understand that my understanding of a 'Knight' is based partly on what i think and I've seen through OD's video's so it may not be entirely like how you think it. A knight is one who serves there aspect or serves via there aspect so a knight of doom might either serve there aspect by streamlining the intended fate/arc for a character; whether that be streamlining there suffering, there end as a relevant character or there concurrence with the rules/constraints of said characters journey. It could also be taken as one who serves through doom so perhaps one who serves another through *bringing the end* to another characters relevance or via reminding the party that there actions will decide whether or not they make or break there session and enforcing the importance of constraint within the party lest it lead to a negative fate. also for whatever reason knights seem to appear where there aspect is lacking i think, so maybe part of there role will be to enforce constraint amongst a number of players that unsparingly go ham within there desire to preserve or destroy respectively. The knight of doom may also play a more heroic role perhaps eventually slaying a dragon or solving a problem via serving doom. So perhaps they go through a ton of suffering to achieve the result they must, or that it is through there suffering that they gain the tools they need to slay the dragon, though this might require that they slay the dragon for an individual other than themselves as they're not directly serving doom through this action. This last thought may seem a bit strict as I'm trying to differentiate between a knights actions and another classes actions as solving a problem through doom serving them sounds like a more page-y thing. Though as an individual or when creating a character its important to recognise a class can act out of there direct classes actions by role playing another or simply holding the knowledge of how to do so, so this may not always be necessary. Anyhow thats my 2 cents

That makes a lot of sense, wow Since Doom is all about fixed beginnings to fixed endings, Life could easily be linked to cycles and simultaneous death and rebirth Which would tie in nicely to the cycle of (for lack of a better term) good-to-bad that the Life players we see go through, as Jane is a good person as a kid, becomes corrupted by Crocker, goes back to being herself, then in the epilogues (spoilers ahead) becomes just a shitty, backstabbing person And through the Peixes we see that good-bad cycle again; Feferi is good, Meenah is (typically) bad, and their reciprocation in position across the scratches could be emblematic of the good-to-bad dichotomy

The thing with the hope aspect is that it's the power belief. It doesn't matter if the thing you believe in is actually supported by evidence or not or even if there's evidence to the contrary. This can get dishonest real quick which can be harmful if it gets out of hand.

Vines? Interesting. Like I say flame are connected to the circle of life by the duality of it, plants give majorly the "Give life part", Fire is link with heat and light, it can harm and destroy, but is also needed for life to surge, and specially the cycle of rebirth. Forest catch fire on their own for a reason, is all part of the circle of life and nature. Maybe is ambiguous in purpose? At the end only Hasie can answer what the origin thought of it was.

@@ericquiabazza2608 Doom is very much connected to fire, actually. It is dangerous, it destroyes, and in consumes energy, leaving only ashes. Rebirth from ashes is the intentional fusion of Life and Doom.
