I really hate that they let ullmark go before locking doing swayman… and ullmark deserves to be number 1 but lock down one of your super stars first please!
Yep. I don't think he's played nor beaten mckinnon, Stone in their houses. His stats are based on a very coddled schedule -goalie Bob handpicked his schedule according to the opponent's rosters, location of games... During his first two playoff experiences Jeremy simply stopped pucks and created offensive end rebounds. As he was instructed to do. Stop the puck. little known fact that goalie coaches get financial bonuses when their goalies earn awards like the vezina and Jennings... And that's what goalie Bob created That season. A winning tandem based on the schedule. Ullmark earned vezina award when he was forced to take on the much heavier load - they took the load away from Linus and his stats suffered. Jeremy still doesn't control his rebounds... Doesn't have the strength to get the puck up ice to create breakaway situations, help the offensive lines - use the boards to get the puck through the neutral zone... Linus has three assists on goals in his career... Should have had more of this past season but marchand, debrusk, Freddy blew one-on-one breakaway chances Linus created for them... I don't believe Jeremy is actually 6 foot 3 inches - his height went up 2" in less than 18 months. He can't scorpion post to post. It didn't take long for the Flyers John tortorella, Rangers artemi panarin to figure out his vulnerable spots when he gets tired third period, upper right shoulder and lower left post... He simply can't fill the net like Linus could. I like jeremy, he's a good goalie - tough pill to swallow because Linus is a great goalie! I'm going to stand behind my black and gold till I'm dead and cold But.... This is an ole wannabe lower league goalie skills coach..... It's hard to not see these things!

We have to sort this out with Swayman and agree #1 priority and many of us were sad to see his best friend Ullmark go. That's #1 agreed. However, in regards to Big Z Zadorov I think personally he'd be really good and he and Elias played together last year. Still, first things first and that's Swayman. I also am concerned more of this is to come. Frederic didn't seem his happy self last year and we certainly shouldn't lose him. I hope the smoke clears with all this and it works out.
No one is shocked by Swayman wanting to get paid. The issue is he's asking the be the 5th highest paid goalie in the league and he hasn't won anything yet. Not personal hardware, not a cup. That's hard to justify. If it goes to arbitration his reward will be 6. Personally I think 6 at 2 years is probably going to end up being where we end up with all of this. And frankly that does call into question if Swayman is the long term solution. It'll be the last kick at the can in Arbitration. When the 2 years are up he'll not be entering UFA. What does it cost you then? Probably 10. But a couple of cap rises down the road would 10 be easier to swallow then than 8 is now? It'd also be after Shesterkin sets the new goalie market rumors being he wants 12+. I think that's how it'll play out. Or he'll go into arbitration get the two year reward and Boston starts shopping him after year 1. All of this would be a less big issue if you hadn't already traded Ullmark. Making that trade before Sway was signed was dumb.
Swayman deserves to be paid. The amount is debateable but where else are u going to find a 25yr old starting goalie? This is sweeneys mess that he made. I agree ullmark shouldve been kept until swayman signed.

There's also a difference between deserving to get paid and deserving to get paid more than your peers when you haven't earned it. His arbitration number is likely 6m. That's what he deserves to get paid. That's what he's earned. Anything over that is speculation and frankly I don't think Boston is in a place they can afford to speculate right now.
@@bruinsdiehards It's not just cups. He hasn't won anything. He hasn't been a 1st team all star. A second team all star. Hasn't won a Vezina. Hasn't won the conference or the cup. He's won a single playoff round against Toronto. And he wants to be the 5th highest paid goalie in the league. He's also not like Sorokin who's great in a bad situation. Everyone above him would have cups and Vezina trophies with the exception of Sorokin and lets be real the islanders aren't good so had to pay over market for him.
@@exturkconnerI agree with you on every count - I'm going to give you the other side there could be another issue going on here..... Like a musician taking on the music industry the NHL players union is really pushing for higher salaries because the NHL makes phenomenal amounts of money. They mandated players take their salaries during the covid because so many other people depend on their salaries to get paid... They pay phenomenal amount of taxes all over the world, their agents get a percentage, so many leeches along the way... So they forced them to take full salary over the covid and then the players had to pay it back. NHL jersey prices went up lol! I will admit the Bruins have been spoiled by bergeron, Krejci, Marchand taking loyalty contracts that could add up to one player. Pasta could have gotten a lot more money elsewhere, hampus Lindholm said it directly in an interview. I don't think Jeremy deserves $8 million right now, so they may have to do another short-term contract yet- $8 million is going to be dwarfed in another few years as the salary cap increases - so it's not just based on the dollar numbers, but the percentage of salary cap... That will diminish over his career and $8 million will look like $6 million in another 4 years. When he's in his prime I agree with you on everything - but this is a business. I get some of my best hockey news out of financial journals. Lots of tidbits the NHL doesn't tell us. Follow the money.. money don't lie! He has an extremely aggressive agent in an even more aggressive father. They might be taking on the NHL not necessarily just the Bruins
Did we let ullmark go because swayman is younger and cheaper. I believe our defense made our goaltenders great. I will not over pay for him and he can walk as far as i care. Go korpasalo!!
The B's blew it because of ego and sportswriter intimidating Sweeney. SWAGMAN is not worth more than the Venzia winner Ulmark. He's a punk with a special ed mentality. We DONT need another Tukka or heaven forbid A Raycroft.
