Back in November we started getting the new Husqvarna 562XP mark II chainsaws in for sale. This video is a look back at my first unboxing of this new saw and a comparison to the first version. #smallenginerepair
Yes what I've noticed power wise is it has a more broad power band than the old version. You dont have to keep it in that sweet spot so much! Good little saw!
Yeah me too. Also i too really liked that gray strip in the top cover. There are supposedly different cylinder and piston too, like you said. I wonder what effect eill it have. Im excited🙂 @@TheGreasyShopRag
I get it. Most of the gear heads I know don't get two strokes. They like those dirty disgusting four cycle engines that swim in their own filth 🙂@@steveriggenbach90
Best comparison video on this saw! Im 56 now was in the stihl camp for years. But always wanted a husky to try. THX U so much for this. Well done!! Safe cutting happy cutting.
I'm 58 and have only owned Stihl, I've been running my arborist buddies Huskys for a year now and I have to say they are awesome, I just ran his 362xp with a 28" bar and was blown away by it, the only thing that scares me is the auto tune. By the looks of the mark 2 I think thats my next buy.
I understand about being affrais of the electronics. They are a good system but if it has issues you can't do anything on your own to fix it.@@rcattz5755
Great job Scott. I loved this video. It’s really good to hear the opinions of a solid mechanic. Very valuable. I get tired of the 1 minute 30 seconds promotional videos on Husky’s website and RU-vidr paid endorsements and psycho fan boys
@@TheGreasyShopRag absolutely! Wouldn’t keep coming back if I didn’t. I know they’re saws, but me personally I don’t tend to knock customers equipment around. Keep cranking out the good useful info brother!!
Just replaced my clutch on my stock 2511t after 4 years ..thought i changed it with the sprocket last time..just orderd a new oem carb as well .i try to clean and greese needke bearing weekly..blow it out with compressor and once few onths do mufflers..and or gaskets bought 2 and cant find them.
Makes me almost wonder if theyre trying to maybe force more fresh cool air up towards the muffler or the hot side of the jug for a better cooling effect.. i dont know..but thats interesting....maybe they got the plastic cages in the bearings took care of...great vid. Im probably gonna get me one of these. One thing i can say about Husqvarna...if they have problems they try to address the issue..from what ive seen.
@@TheGreasyShopRag i'm in ohio, never had a problem with stihls, but that chain case rubs on the wood. i think it saves the muffler also. the heat really can reflect onto the top cover, so maybe saves the cylinder in the long run also. more torq would be nice, its a finess saw. i'd be interested in what the rpms actually are doing.
just came across your video, Great video but I was trying to find some info about the 587 which I just bought and don't really understand how the clutch works as it looks very different and by the way the 587 is very heavy.
Looks Like a Few Improvements Over The Previous Model Did They Lower The Compression When Doing Away With The Decomp Button and Piston Part # Change or Just Increase The Squish Band In The Newer Cylinder and Just Not Make a Provision For a Decomp Button 😀 I Sure Would Love To Tear One Completely Down Just To See If There are Internal Differences as Well 😀 Either Way Looks Like a Great Saw Thanks For The Video I Have Not Seen Them Yet 😊👍🏼
Interesting, I didn't know they removed the decomp. That is cool cause the saw didn't need it. I am super interested in compatibility of the new part numbers. The coil wire route seems to look much better. I also liked the grey lid. The 555 had the all orange one I think.
Hi Scott, thanks for the great videos! Question: I see 3 air filters for the 550 Xp Mk2/562XP Mk2 filter model #s 5904588-01, -02, 03. What is the difference and is one better? Thx
The 01 filter is black in color and is 64 micron. Its used for cold weather operation. The 02 filter is yellow in color and 25 microns. Its considered a general purpose filter. I don't remember the micron rating of the 03 felt filter but it is for dusty conditions. We recommend the felt filter and actually switch out the yellow filters in favor of the felt when we sell a new saw.
Why do the clutch covers all look like they been n a house fire just after normal use? Is made of some sort of material that does it or what’s deal? You taking the 562 mark 1 or mark 2?
@@TheGreasyShopRag yep..apologize that's what I meant..my arborist store will have them ..and the top handle is what I was referring to ..all though the rear might not be bad for spar work..
Finally found a new 562 mk II. It came with a accessory bag containing inner and outer dogs w/hardware, chain catch roller. Part# 576873004. I dunno if dealer ordered it for me. Cuz I did have them order the outer dog for my 550xp and 572xp when I bought those.
Good video, besides the middle aged guy jack hammering some young btch Porno music creepin around in the background lol As much use and pure ass kickin my so called middle gen 562 has endured its my favorite all around saw ever. Never thought we'd see the day the legendary 349 is face down whipped but the day we all agree the 562 is infact the best was long ago now....alittle heavy for direct apples to apples but those of us who were running them back before the 562 what was one thing we all wanted out of a 349? Abita more power, husky delivered AND made it very fckn reliable (you know what I mean the 1st gen doesn't count) yet listened to use and continued to male them better and better After buy the 572 2 or 3 years ago I utterly live that saw too, but she's not built to handle so dam flawlessly as the 562 does. Buried deep into northeastern hardwoods 30 plus inches the 572 pulls very good, the 562 can't pull a chain like that obviously nor can she oil it. Small differences to the city boys, entirely different saws for different uses to us real good old boys
Many people feel thats a good thing. There have been some decomp related failures in the past and then there is the whole warm start issue with a decomp. On the other hand, They limit the market if some people will struggle pulling it over.
@@TheGreasyShopRag It makes sense for a pro saw to be more reliable and less tailored to homeowner use. All the newest Huskys with the third gen Autotune are easier to start.
