After my mess up on the last video, I bought a new adapter and a new blade for the HU800AWD that I found being thrown out. It turns out to be a great mower. Mailing Address: 3
Just finished replacing the adapter and blade on my Husqvarna (same model). Had a heck of a time finding the right steps until I found this video, made it super easy. Thanks!
This is so cool.. free lawnmower and you're ingenuity plus Gail's ingenuity got it working. You two rock and thank you for sharing the information too. God Bless Stella 😄
Citronella essential oil mixed with a carrier oil (almond, olive, coconut etc) is a mosquito repellent & is not harmful like the deet in Off...love the new lawnmower...looks like u did a great job fixing it
LMAO good thing you had an extra set of eyes on that tear down or you would have been pissed having to break it back down. I have the same problem, can't talk and work at the same time cause I'm bound to forget or make a mistake.
I purchased the same blade adaptor and it’s identical to the old one on the same mower you have. I took the plastic shroud off and a belt of the same pulley and I can’t get the old adaptor off. Your old one just slid off what am I doing working please someone help.
I just lock washer and tighten the blade up on the stripped star. But for 12$ I guess what the hell. I bought 1 that was used 4 xs and they sold it because of the adapter to me for 50$ they paid 350 new.
I have the identical mower and the star broke off the adaptor as in your video. I’ve taken off the plastic shroud and removed the same belt and for the love of god I can’t pull off the adaptor. Your old one seemed to slide off with ease and mine won’t budge a bit. I sprayed WD40 and let it sit and nothing. It’s the same exact one I don’t understand. Can someone please help me out I’m frustrated as could be lol.
Disconnect the throttle cable take the engine off the deck. Then take a block of wood and a regular hammer and put the block of wood against the adapter. Then take the hammer and with light blows hit the block of wood against the adapter and after a few light blows of the hammer against the block of wood thats against the adapter you should be able to get the adapter to work loose and come off. I would recomend lubricating the shaft with wd40 as well and also if their are any keys in the keyway of the shaft (the square slot on the shaft that the adapter is on) dont loose them and it also helps to go from one side of the adapter with a few light hammer blows then to the other side. I hope this helps this is how i got my adapter off of my mower you do not want to hit the adapter super hard because this might damage the adapter and or the crankshaft and fit could bend the crankshaft then youd have to get another one and their not cheap thats why i say when you do this take light hammer blows on one side of the adapter then the other and your adapter should work loose pretty easily i hope this helps :) God bless, Seth
Looked like you was going to get attacked by the tiger that's a great deal free lawn mower and a little bit of money and time and sale it to make a big chunk of money
