In this video we will look at a Husqvarna T435 top handle chainsaw that starts hard and is low on power. I'll show you how to identify a potential carb problem without taking anything apart. #smallenginerepair
I’ve genuinely never even attempted to fix a 2 stroke engine but your voice is like therapy for me. I can pretty much fix any chainsaw by now but I’ll probably never cut down a tree in my lifetime.
Do these chainsaw owners ever get to see your videos? They are excellent, showing your troubleshooting steps and the necessary repairs. LOL, I'd love to see my equipment repair videos! Thanks for posting these...
It’s not always easy to tell what plugs that up. I know it purged the air out of the carb. Which in reality is priming the carb. Which won’t flood anything. When a water heater first starts it has cold water, after it has hot water in it….it’s now a hot water heater. Scott as usually you do an excellent job of explaining. I’ve worked retail and some things are always called common thoughts. Take care.
some diesel engines are prone to grow algea . crud just grows in the tank and we regularly treat that tractor with a anti biocide. a buddy had a little jd mower that has the same issue. i would put $ that they need to get a new gas can or maybe its the tank vent breathing in dampness and maybe the plastic tank is translucent enough to grow crud.
To stop algae in diesel you have to park the vehicle at an incline and suck out the water and crud at the bottom of the tank. Plan on changing the fuel filters more often. That treatment stuff is expensive and doesn’t even work as you can tell. Most of the time it messes up injectors. No need for any treatment. If you want to add something, a quart of 2 stroke oil does wonders.
Have they always had those screens in carburetors? Been running saws since 1976 both Husky and Stihl and Never had that problem. Today I only use ethanol free gas!
Your description of what a "primer" bulb does applies to a "purge" bulb. A primer bulb actually squirts gas mix into the carb throat and can, if overdone, flood the carb. But maybe that's all just semantics.
I made it. I plan to make some for sale. What do you feel would be a fair price? I haven't looked at cost yet. Just trying to see if it would be worth the effort.
@@TheGreasyShopRag I really don't know, I looked for these on the internet and couldn't find any. I see them once in a while on different channels but have never seen them for sale. I guess it's just one of those DIY items. You'll have to make it worth while for yourself though. I'd make 10 in a row, apply your hourly rate and materials. My guess (and its just a guess) is they may price in the 20's plus shipping.
