My sister lives in an HOA and it's the same crazy. I have a theory on why. Extra rules attract the folks who can't calm their inner state so they look to outside rules for relief, temporary as this may be. Everyone's just trying to feel better.

Allegedly I would say a popular easy shareable snack would be a charcuterie board? That could be pricey but I know you’re thrifty and artsy enough to make a $200 charcuterie board for $20 and make it pretty af! Or go to a local sandwich shop get one of those suuuper long sandwiches? Orrr mass make grilled cheeses and bring some thermos’ of tomato soap. People love savory.
