This helped me a lot. I knew it must be simple but sometimes you need someone to show you exactly where the tabs are that need to be undone. Otherwise you can do some real damage trying to find the leverage point.
Well I already had a replacement to install after pulling it out but I realized that the window controls on the new one don't work either, so I seem to have an issue with either the internal door wiring or the ECU itself
Not sure if this will work with my 2005 elantra, but maybe. I have the module with two switches at the bottom, one to open/lock all doors, and the window lock switch. As you say, feels like it's gonna break, so haven't given it the final lift to get it out. One of my window switches on the module the one which opens the right front passenger window does not lower the window, but is able to raise it, to close it. Also at the passenger side right front window, the switch works well too. So it's definitely a problem with that particular switch on the driver door. If I remove the whole module, will I get access to the contacts to play a little, maybe with sandpapering the contacts and using electronic spray?
We have a 2015 Elantra and only the switch for the driver window is loose. Can I just replace that one switch or do I have to replace the entire unit? Love your video by the way.
That's great! Thanks for the vid, feel like a dope now bc I removed the door panel and the 9-17 screws attached. Forgot how many there are. LoL. Stupid question: will the replacement master switch clip into place?
Awesome thanks I drop something behind my center console cupholder the little lid no longer opens all the way can you make a video how to take out the center consul?
I noticed that while removing the switch, it caused slight damage to the flange where the screwdriver was prying it up. Can this be avoided and/or can the switch be removed from the other end ??
If you have a plastic trim removal tool, you can remove this switch with no damage. Another option to help, would be to use a thin piece of cloth to shield the end of the screwdriver. The switch removes easiest from this bottom end. Good luck and hope we helped!
Best regards
