It's time to make the questionable choice to go at the next ebisu spring Matsuri. You want to practice and learn you will learn fast with the amount of RU-vidr there that can show you some tricks and more than enough seat time if you can find a semi reliable drift car / rent one

onwards and sideways ... in the end you do you... We only get one go around, I'm happy for your joy. I look fwd to the build.. the mistakes, the wins, the things I'd do different, or do the same... all of it... You do not need my approval, hell some disapproval gets move views... When as is said and done, hours spent at the expense of your own joy are worthless...My hope and support is for whatever bring the most smiles per miles. - only real 0.02 for power use what you know - heat management and increase/decrease the power well be key... changing power plants later in the game changes balance and an endless amount of chasing frustrations,, limit the variables.. get a power plant you can dial in for more or less.. Smile everyday...

Love the channel and I think it would be a good way to be able to reach more people and find more track time . They know people track event and all their is to know building/driving as a rookie in the world of drifting . And drift game for sure have all you need to build any type of e46 .

I concur that promotion was the best done I’ve seen for a sponsor in a video. As someone with a drift E46 that started in an E30, I’m here for this build!

Jared, I get it. In 2014 I bought a Fiesta ST. It came with a weekend class at Ford Racing School in Toole, UT and dinner at Ken Block's shop in Park City, UT. At the school I drove a roll cage prepared Fiesta and learned the basic skills how to drift. I also had an instructor ride with me tandem on a road course at unlimited speed and learned the art of picking the "line" around a road course. The hardest thing for me was learning how to do a 180 degree box turn which I finally mastered. As a kid I was an avid Drag Racer and saw the greats like Garlits, Jungle Jim and others in the '70's. I was totally surprised at how fun drifting actually is. To those who may criticize you I say don't knock it until you have done it yourself. Not everyone is a true driver like you are and you do need a better car that fits you. I'm a big man myself but fortunately I'm not as tall as you are. This car fits you well and is a bargain. I know how expensive fabrication can be. I'm a retired aerospace engineer and the quality of the welds and the quality of the build for your chassis is top notch. Congrats on your acquisition. This is a series I am looking forward to. Drop all other projects and focus on this on because I think this is going to be stellar content. Thanks again and remember the fun you feel when you Drift! It will keep you moving forward.

The old E-30 was a great starter drift vehicle, but it's pretty obvious you pushed it as far as it's going to go. Now it's time to go next level, and you have have a fantastic core to build on. I'm really looking forward to this build project.

Others: dry ice is the only way to get this clean... Jared: the pressure washer will do fine (waves hand to initiate Jedi mind trick) I don't know why I thought this during that segment, probably because I know how soaked Jared got and didn't even care because it was better than spending crazy money cleaning something. That's why I love this channel, questionable, but always resourceful (and so much more) thank you as always Jared and Duane !!

There's a cleannnnnnnn s14 that's been in a buddies garage for prolly 10 years now I've been nagging and nagging him about for prolly 5 of those years now. His brother in laws car who's in jail. He won't sell it and it's pissing me off. I want it sooooo bad. Commissary ain't cheap but he is holding onto it hoping to get to it when he gets out. Who knows when that'll be. It's a real shame

This makes sense to me. There's another former FD driver in the RU-vid arena selling his BMW practice car for like $70K, and his BMW comp car for considerably more, so by my math buying this car saved you multiple tens of thousands of dollars. Hell, by buying this one you practically MADE money (I may have seen Ed justify purchases on Car Trek a few too many times...).

Nice! What engine you thinking? There are some guys in Europe running e46 with Mercedes m104 turbo, really cheap engine that can handle a lot of power. Would be cool to see something different than an LS.

I can imagine with the work that went into some of your other cars, that took weeks, being already done here, this might be a record for how quickly we see it together and rolling. But then again there's an awfully big hole where the engine should be and I feel like either you have that sorted already or it's going to take a bit.

Over here in the UK you can just turn up in a road car and start tandem :D can't say it's a good thing, but it's easier. On the handbrake. If you have a thousand hours behind the wheel, you don't need a hand brake...... I don't have time to learn to drift without using a hand brake.

I mean, nothing says you can't practice extra safely. You can even start with a relatively low spec engine and basic suspension then step up when you're ready.

We recorded a bit but it didn’t make it into this video… but before I even had the pro car we had that parts car. That was before I made the deal for the fiberglass body.
