while I get this argument it makes no sense. if cops only focused on 'serious' crimes then the civilized world as we know it would not be so civilized... look at some 3rd world countries the govt/police are so busy trying to stop massive crimes caused by gangs that the law abiding citizens are driving around so crazy and killing eachother in driving accidents... cops cant just ignore their duty because there are other matters to handle... thats why there are different police units... there are highway patrol and crime scene investigation so dont worry... while you are getting your speeding ticket written out there are still cops doing their jobs to stop more 'serious' crimes.

Went to LA once in 2017. Tent city all over. The city is overrated af. Even the beaches. That city needs help, the whole state really, new governor, new everything. I much prefer the east coast. A shame too cause California in the north is quite beautiful and san diego but its just ran by crooks and filled with hollyweirdos.

But the drive it takes to get from point A to B is ridiculously stupid. 10 minutes turned to an hour and a half. The traffic is horrible. Makes any other traffic look like paradise. Id imagine the people who commute to work have to get up a couple hours early just to not be late

The rental company probably won’t charge you for the scratches, but in the off chance they do, I guarantee they’ll pocket the money and not fix the car. The tumbleweed hit you, not the other way around.
I relate to the tumbleweed incident I was heading during the same time as you from Vegas to Laughlin Nevada and like you said driving down the highway never in my life seen so many f tumbleweeds they hit my car too…I said what can a f tumbleweed do to my car…scratched the hell out of it…pissed me off

Every time I rent a car they make me sign or initial something saying I’m responsible for any damage even if it’s not my fault. But this is usually after they verify that my insurance covers rental cars.

In Santa Monica, a group of parking cops, hang out and wait for us , living in our cars, to overstay our welcome, by 10 minutes. They drink coffee across the street and then come over and give us $89 tickets, even when we are about to drive away. I hear that in LA , parking tickets are where the city recoup their losses from gang activity…
