I have a poll on my channel. I’d like to get your perspective on your next Jeep. Will your next Jeep be all electric, PHEV or gas? Here’s a link to the poll: • Post
If you drive yours till it drops, Please keep us posted on how the final years are going and or if it starts costing more to own than just buying something new.
My next off-road vehicle will probably either be a Hurricane gladiator or a power wagon. Not because I don't love my 4xE, but rather because by that time it wont be as perfect for my use case. Right now, its both my daily driver and my overland adventure vehicle. The 4xE works perfect for that because I can drive it all week on electric and its an awesome, super capable vehicle for adventures on the weekends. I'm going to buy something else to daily drive in the next year though so switching to something with a less complicated drivetrain, that doesn't have a battery eating up a huge chunk of its payload for the next adventure vehicle will make more sense.
I plan on keeping my 2024 4xe Wrangler for as long as possible, Love this Jeep! ❤ I hope that as technology improves, I will be able to have the battery replaced and keep on Jeeping! ❤️
No plans for a next Jeep. I'm 78 years old and I imagine my '23 4xE will be my last. We also have a Mustang Mach-E, but we have the Jeep for longer trips out here in the vast charger wasteland out in the northern midwest) By the time the Jeep needs replacing (my 11-yr oldJK had only 50k miles when I traded it for the 4xE) I just hope I'll still be able to drive, even if not to be able to crawl up into a Jeep.
My 2021 will be paid off in 6 months, I'm hoping to keep it for a very long time, ideally a BEV would be best for me since I don't have a home charger, but I've really got no complaints with the 4xe, it's perfect as it is. Also Jeeps are getting extremely expensive, so not sure I want to pay luxury price for a Jeep.
I have 3k miles on my 2024 Rubicon 4Xe. While I’d like to say I’d keep it for 100k miles I don’t know that it would go that far. I looked at trading my RAM in on a Mojave recently from 2021 but it had a lot of rust. I love the Jeep but for those of us who live near the ocean or in winter wonderland- rust is likely the only thing that concerns me on its longevity
My current car is a 2005 Mustang I’ve had for 15 years! My next vehicle is a 2023 high altitude but I don’t know if I’m completely sold on the 4XE I like the 10 year 100k warranty but still for someone that plans on keeping the car for a really long time will these drop in value so bad in the future because of the battery
I’d prefer a 392 (I actually made an offer on one today at Rick Hendrick Jeep/RAM), but likely keep our 2022 4XE Rubicon. My wife built this to her exact liking and with all the problems we’ve had with it now behind us (we pray it’s done), and all the $ spent on modifications/changes…she’s hanging out for a while. I’ll be reading as well, very curious to.
My wife and I each drive an ecodiesel wrangler. I will probably buy another ecodiesel wrangler in the next few years. I will be looking into the speed of air pistons in the future to help with the soot problem. The only thing stopping us from buying a fully electric jeep is battery density. The 4xe wasn’t really a good option for us at the time of purchase nor will be anytime soon. Maybe the MY2025 or MY2028 wranglers will be so we will keep our options open. Plan to keep these at least 15+ years as we love to hit the trails a few times per year.
I'm waiting for the 2025 models to order a Wrangler Rubicon 4xe PHEV... Hopefully they get better range in electric mode and no exploding batteries 💥...
I looked for my comment I wrote late last night and it's not there? 😮 maybe it didn't go through. I'll try again I love my 4×e and plan on keeping mine for a few years. Would be open to another new hybrid plug in 4×e. I would hope future 4×es would get about 50 miles on a charge. All electric would be good in your local area. Charging at home is no problem. But if your on a road trip out west zooming through Utah...Wyoming...etc. Looking for a charger....forget it! Call the tow truck.
I traded my 4XE because I really never used the gas engine(basically only on road trips) and I traded it for a fully electric vehicle. I really wish Jeep would have a full electric wrangler.
I have a feeling we’ll see the availability of new gas vehicles for at least 15 more years, if not 20. I’m all for electrification but there are realities in the US that make the switchover problematic to many situations.
As you probably know, my jeep is a lease. I leased it because financially it made the most sense. I do believe that I will be going with a 6 cyl. gas engine because I will be moving out of California. However I am open to the possibility of another lease on a 4xe. Definitely going with a Rubicon but not sure whether or not I will be going Wrangler or Gladiator. My issue is that I don't ever want to own it outside of the warranty because I just don't want to have to replace the battery. And if the battery goes bad will I be able to trade it in? I have purposely kept my miles low on this as it is a lease. I haven't taken it on very many long trips but I do go a long time between fill ups in the gas tank. So while it isn't outside the realm of possibility that I would get another 4xe I think if I move to a state where gas is less expensive I would buy a gas jeep. Thanks for asking, Pat
Keeping 24 2.0T. You guys can have my spot with the EVs. Would consider a non plug in hybrid....maybe, if it made sense money wise. Keep the battery stuff.
No plans for a new Jeep. They are too expensive and i have a 2023 phev Sahara jl unlimited that we just added a Mopar 2 inch lift kit to; steering stabilizer, coil springs, fox shocks ,tie rod etc. Also, added Nitto grapler 35 in. Tires with Black rhino wheels. The wheels are gree to match the Sarge green paint of the jeep. Added a jeep performance heavy duty rear tire carrier. Tinted windows all aroun with the windshield receiving a slightly tinted heat shield to protect against the hot 🔥 Nevada sun. This is our fifth jeep and we really like it and unlike previous jeeps we will not be doing any rock climbing... expensive to make repairs Im 75 years old and this will be my last jeep... maybe not 😂😂
