I modeled for about 6 years, NYFW, vogue, magazines all of it. But when I gave my life to Jesus, God convicted me over the vanity & temptation in the modeling world so I gave it up completely. He’s healed me drastically even in the area of being able to take a casual selfie or a group photo with friends. God heals ALL!

I can so relate to this! When I was younger (7,8) I wanted to be an actress and since I live in L.A. my mom would take me to auditions. But my mom never wanted to choose any of the agencies. One time we had this opportunity to for me to audition for this huge agency that had pushed out huge Disney stars. That day literally everything went wrong. I woke up feeling extremely sick in a way I never did before. My mom’s car broke down so we had to take a train and then walk super long. When I got to the audition, I didn’t have any energy and I couldn’t even fake it. My point is that at the time, that really upset me because I had missed such a huge opportunity. But now I realize, that was God working! He didn’t want me to be in that perverted business! Even we can’t see he is working he is! Similar to how he didn’t want you to be in the modeling business(specifically not wearing and acting in a perverted way)! Praise God!!!!

God gives us strength to endure, it’s because of him I have endured. I’m a single mother with two beautiful autistic children. My husband passed away years ago. I lost my job over declining the vaccine. I declined due to my pre existing health conditions lupus and heart disease. I’ve been struggling to provide for myself and my children since losing my job from Forsyth hospital. But God has given me strength. Strength to keep obeying and serving even when I feel tired and overwhelmed and like I can’t go on. Every month is a battle to not end up homeless on the streets with my two children. But every month God provides in Jesus name! Thank you Father for your unconditional love. Even as I’m mocked and harassed by others for my circumstances and choice. I will keep Faith. Please pray for me and my boys.

Wow thanks for sharing on this toxic environment! When I was 14, a modeling school wanted me to sing on after I tried out. They wanted me because in my younger years, I looked like Katie Holmes. My mom saw the red flags and pulled me out before anything started. I’m so glad looking back. There are so many Christian companies we can model for that don’t follow worldly standards!

At a very young age I dreamt of becoming a model. I went to a modeling convention and was working toward pursuing it. As I grew closer to Christ, my desires changed. I realized eventually that it was vanity and just not a career that would glorify the Lord.

Her testimony is also very inspiring and she delves more into the dark side of the industry (sexual harassment, abuse, grooming, manipulation, eating disorders, etc.).

oh my goodness! Sensual faces!!! Yes! I always just thought maybe I am thinking too much into it, but it has always just bothered me. It's something that just makes me avoid even taking pictures of myself because I don't want to find myself in that position where I am making all these faces that just feel "unclean". But oh my goodness! Such a relief to realise that some of these things are just not me thinking too much about them, but that the Holy Spirit is really convicting me through it all. I have noticed when I was growing up that a lot of the girls in my high school were suffering from a lot of insecurities because they were comparing themselves to the unrealistic standards of the world and these were young girls who were what the guys would rate as a perfect 10.

Hannah;- your stint with modeling puts me right back to my band days in the late 90's when I was pursuing a music career. I was being sought after by a few producers as well as already being in a production company and was in the process of putting together my demo CD to 'shop' myself but in doing so I saw and learned just how dark the whole music business is. I quickly found out that it was more about the images of the artists/bands and marketing them like cattle rather than the music they created. When I was about to sign a deal to go overseas for promotion purposes something didn't feel right and I told GOD that if this was not what He had planned for me to cause something to stop it from happening. Boy did He and I am so glad He did! I don't regret a thing either!There's more to this story involving GOD and where He took me after that but I'll stop here and give GOD praise!🙏✝️💖

First of all, I love that you made a topic about this, Hannah. Most people don't know how far deep in the trenches modelling can go. As a photographer, I've had the benefit of working for good mentors that helped me to understand how to stay away and allow others to stay away from paths they didn't walk down. I'm not going to say that God isn't calling people from modelling. I think there might a be a few platforms where Christians can do good work within the modelling world. I will say this though, if you're looking to get into modelling because you KNOW that God is calling you to it, pray for God to send you a good mentor in faith and work and research different agencies / photographers that will allow you to perform within the standards that you have set. Don't get dragged into the underbelly of that world. It is extremely difficult to detach from it.

The truth is we are sinners and need a savior and the truth is Jesus is the only way to Heaven. The Bible is the only absolute pure truth on earth. Genesis 1:27 says God created man in His own image, so even though we can’t see God, we know we look like Him, even though He is invisible to us. Colossians 1:15 says Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God. We know Jesus has the form of a man, and He is the image of God.

I left feminism after I learned how toxic it is and it promotes the opposite of how God wants us women to be. Society promotes hook up culture and dressing exposing as women we do not need to dress half naked our bodies deserve to be respected and private we shouldn’t want our body to be objects and for the world to see our private temple it is delicate and we want to represent the temple of the holy spirt with respect

Big respect for sticking by your values on this, I can imagine you could of done really well in the modelling industry as you're a beautiful woman, but for them to pressure you into modelling things you don't want to model is not right. Also you've got a great looking figure, I don't understand why they would want you to be thinner.

Good video Hannah. People are like "why aren't you married?" Well, let's see. I have to pay all the bills, and mow the lawn, and buy and cook my food, and wash my clothes and play the music at church and study and read and pray and exercise and donate money and do all the chores every day. And what would a wife bring to the relationship? "You know, take some instagram selfies in lingerie, argue with people on social media about masks or Mr T45, dance on Tiktok, go to yoga, go to tanning salon, go to the beach or pool, play with the pet, buy new outfits, get botox, get plastic surgery, get an onlyfans, watch netflix, scroll through tinder, go out with friends and drink wine". Ok, so no responsibilities that I need from a "help mate", so I am ok being single and not burdened with an adult child that needs attention all the time. Not that I'm perfect or asking you for a date or anything like that, but I am glad you are addressing some things so that some balance can come back to our lives and relationships as Americans. You can have a move of God of great men pastors and software engineers and military and truckers and marketers (or whatever) living great values, but to create a family you also need women. In the question "what do you bring to the relationship, if it takes work as they say", being pretty is a positive, but its not the total of everything you do and are, which you addressed with the Proverbs verse. Of course we can use Instagram, go to the pool or whatever wisely not in sin, unfortunately, being popular is not something that everyone can do until they die, it is usually confined to a few younger years whether its an athlete, a model, a pop singer, etc and so people get sucked in too far too fast.

i deeply disagree with 95% of what you believe, but good on you for getting out of that industry. the story about you being expected to lose more weight is genuinely really scary, and i’m glad you got out of there without it ruining your self esteem or relationship with food. our beauty standards are incredibly ridiculous and harmful, eating disorders are horrible, and no one deserves to go through that. i’m glad your faith gave you the sense of self and purpose necessary to take care of yourself in that situation.

Agree with you abt raising Godly children, but that is the job of BOTH parents, not just the mother. In my experience traditional male n female roles resulted from the days when men perhaps left home to work away from family, or traditionally worked very physically taxing jobs such as farming and other similar jobs. That isn’t the case today. Men and women work outside the home and often times men may not do their part in terms of household chores leaving this for women to do. Not fair!!! These and others are what makes women angry. Hannah open your eyes. There is more to it than what you are saying. Even if one spouse is at home there is no reason why the other spouse can’t work at cleaning THEIR home. It takes 2.

It's true - most of the modelling industry is based on the Flesh not the Spirit. I was watching a runway show - beautiful models wearing skimpy items and music pumping. At first, I was enjoying it and then I thought: Woah...this is all the Flesh. It's a trap for many young girls. Thank you for sharing your testimony.

the reason why the man is the head and the woman is to submit is because: 1. the man represents who God the father is which even Jesus himself said the father is greater than he although he also said he is equal to God 2. The woman represents the Son who sumits to the father Every time we obey the word of God as 1 we look like God as individuals Every time we look like God in our relationships we look like the relationship within the Godhead
