love those old squarebody gm trucks and the gravelys. me and my grandpa used to get models L's and restore them before he passed. i still have the ones he restored and the ones me and him fixed together. we still work some of them to plow, mow, and scrape snow!
Jake, Please take time for yourself and enjoy life, the work will be there. People will have you working 26 hours a day id they could. . Your youth is something that you can never regain. There you have it! Been there and done that. Oh and be patient the property will show up.
I do Ed, don'tcha worry! Despite working long days/weeks I still find time to ride horses, see with friends and play music. Been caught in the nothing but work loop before... bad place to be.
Hey Jake good to see you again Scott Hear the service truck is looking good in Odyssey working very well wish you luck still on looking for property or a buildings look forward for the new videos and maybe if you have downtime doing your own project videos you're probably up to a 101 projects you want to get done already men stay safe to you your family and friends
Hey Scott. Something will turn up sooner or later. Just a matter of waiting for the right place, only what to have to spend that much money once haha. Man that list of projects keeps growing too. Not enough days in the week!
Thanks for the update, Jake. Glad your business is doing well in light of business / life conditions elsewhere this year. Hopefully that affordable piece of property will come your way soon. 🤞 Don't forget to enjoy life too. Look forward to your upcoming videos. As always, Thanks for your time & effort to share with us. 👍
Thanks, in due time like anything I'm sure that property will turn up. Despite working a ton I still make time for life too. Been caught in the trap of nothing but work before, heck of a place to be! You betcha! More to come...
Apparently the repair business has been good all around! Glad you've been busy too. Lot of guys I've talked to (independent or working for a co.) have had a good year.
The energy and drive of youth is a precious commodity. I’m glad to see you are making the most of it. Good update. Nice to see. Love your sense of humor too.
You are a good yong man who brings much enjoyment to our lives. Your mechanical talent as well as your musical talent is very impressive. Continued luck and most of all stay safe!
Holy crap man glad to see your back I recently got into collecting garden tractors mainly IH cubs but glad to see you back, watching your videos got me into collecting Garden tractors
@@5Tractorguy yep I hope to get a original this weekend if the weather holds up but I already have a 105 a 127 and 169 kind rare to find a 169 but I don’t think I need any more but just one more couldn’t hurt
@@farminginthe5706 That Original will be a nice addition... Haha spoken like a true tractor collector! I don't need anymore, ah.. what's one more. If I had a dollar lol.
Sounds like it's been interesting always great to see someone who makes awesome content even though sometimes to busy with work I'd rather that if it keeps ya going
Although we sure have been talking a lot recently since I bought that stupid Dodge ( No not really, I love that thing lol!) I'm glad to see some more youtube content again! Great that business is going so well too! Best of luck with finding a property! Ohh and by the way, your montages never cease to have me laughing out loud! Keep them coming! Hopefully we will meet up at some point! :)
Hey thanks Colin! Sooner or later if you're up this way again or vice versa with me. The brake actuators on that dang H were stuck pretty darn tight where they pivot in the casting. If it wasn't for that, would've made it back in time!
Hi there Jake, great to see your smiling face again buddy. I'm very happy to hear everything is going well for you. Your a good boy and I can tell your going to be very successful in your future. We still need to work on getting you a little lady so you can get married and get some beautiful children pumped out too. Very important to start young so you can enjoy watching and teaching your children growing up. Anyway you take care buddy and safe travels wherever you go mate. 🤠👏🤝🇦🇺
Thanks Ben, all's been going well here! Say, a girl that likes tractors, yeehaw! Let's quit the making a family talk though. Go down that road again on my videos and I'll mark your comments to get approved before getting posted. I let a lot of things fly here and don't like to manage people, so no more o' that shtuff okay?
@@5Tractorguy hi there Jake, im so sorry you took offence to my comment about family i ment that as a very big compliment meaning you are so very smart with all things mechanical and you could pass that on one day to your own children thats all. I didn't want you to get upset at all. I really enjoy watching you and think your fantastic guy. I too love tractors. I'm very sorry you didn't like my comment i only ment it in a very nice way truly. I hope you finish off your year well Jake and stay safe and well please your one of the good guys. Sorry buddy.
@@benhowe5506 It's alright Ben, I understand what you mean now. And greatly appreciate the compliment! I get some odd ducks here commenting sometimes that have to be warned or banned (yep, they can be that bad) so that's why I put my foot down is all. It would be nice to pass on my mechanical abilities/hobbies someday to another generation. Though at this point I'm definitely not a fan of kids... who knows, later in life with the right girl that may change. Anyhow, glad you explained. Hope ya stick around!
@@5Tractorguy Thankyou very much for getting back to me Jake, i truly and extremely "Respect" what you do and the way you do it. I can see how methodical and talented you are mechanically and love and appreciate your time letting anyone view what you do. Im being 10000000% honest with you I've been upset all day that i upset you in anyway at all. Im not telling you that for any reason but for you to know just how much your channel and me being allowed to watch you means to me. That might sound so stupid as i haven't even met you but thats just me i guess. I have had 2 very close calls with almost loosing my life and i appreciate things alittle different from the rest of the crowd. I hope you don't think im too weird buddy. But thankyou very much for getting back to me that means alot to me, and you have made my day end so happy that your happy. I'm very much looking forward to your next video Jake you take care buddy. 🤠🍻🤝🇦🇺 Big Benny from Down under.
You seem pretty knowledgeable about old engines... I have a 1947 Ford 8N that has absolutely no power, and I can't figure out what is causing it. I have tried replacing the carburetor, spark plugs, and adjusting the governor, but nothing seems to fix the problem. I have also tested the compression, and everything seems fine. (110 PSI per cylinder). The engine seems fine mechanically. It doesn't smoke or use any oil. If the engine gets put under load, the engine speed goes down to idle, but the governor is opening the throttle to full. Any ideas what could cause this?
Hey Jake, know what ya mean about being busy, thats a good thing and hope ya find that Property soon, glad ya got a little time to make an update for us Good video thanks Jake
Jake we watch these videos because we love you. You don't have to entertain us or do card tricks with your feet. Plop the camera down on the kitchen table and we will watch you eat corn flakes. Just make more videos, we don't care what they are about. Art
The white '86? Sitting over at my uncles with the '61. Sold the fire body off it over the summer. Debating building it into a flat bed to replace my '88.
@@devinstroud5221 Ah, the '79... It's up and working. Runs great, drives well and all that... If you skipped through the video go to 4:10, got a few pics of it.
Strange, but like some others,.I too was wonder this past week, how things were working 0out for you. 'Tain't easy finding property/land that will meet all your needs and financial budget. There are always zoning rules and laws that sometimes makes one think, they were put in the way of small business just to makes things more expensive and annoying. I'm here, ( God willing and the Weather, as the saying goes ) so when you have a new videos, I'll see it as will, obviously, all the other subscribers. Best of good luck and health.
@@5Tractorguy Just FYI, my comment is based on my findings in this type of business back in 1980,.... but, it worked out. Soo keep pluggin' on,..it'll work out for you. I heard or read an old saying back then, that has worked for me,..." If you wait 'till all possible objects have been overcome,... you'll never succeed" Think about that! Cheers
Given hell Jake. I have some work for you fella. Making me a tractor and I know you know who I am, Vic. Drop a line to me with an e mail and we can make it happen. Thanks
@@5Tractorguy How was your day mine was good I have a gravely model L8 I have a few RU-vid videos of it on my RU-vid channel I use it to mow grass often And to plow the garden once a year
