DAMN!! What a treat!!! As a retired full time Pedal Steel Guitar picker from Nashville I can't tell you how much I appreciate your pickin, guitar or Banjo, you've an great Baritone voice, I used to Live in Worcester , MA Before I got Hired on as Sonny Martin's Full time steel picker at 38 years of age back them. I jumped on his Bus and never looked back.
Have loved your channel since the start, Jake. You represent everything great about the U.S. of A. !!!!! Keep it up!!! And I could listen to you sing forever. Your voice is awesome, dude!!! Keep it up!!!! God Bless, from Oklahoma City.
Jake, I agree with all the other comments, your baritone voice is great..let's hear more from your guitar. Cheers from San Francisco. Former Chew Chief UH-1Charlie Model Gunships, Republic of Vietnam 1970-71
Talk about busy, I missed this vid! Wow, well at least I am catching up now! I have a new tractor project to get on the channel soon but time to upload vids just is t there right now due to how busy work has been for me as a small engine mechanic as well
@@5Tractorguy We had to listen to your singing again this morning, good stuff. Later in May we are trying to get down South again, Pa, VA, WV, NC, all the old haunts we have visited before. Gotta get our yearly fill of bluegrass and old country music. You're right, there's nothing like living in the center of God's will for your life.
Man and I thought I was busy lol! Then again, if I didn't have school I'd probably be working on machines all day too... Both a blessing and a curse isn't it? Was very cool to see some driving footage with the service truck! I definitely have to make a little camera mount like that lol! Looking forward to some more videos and pickin' when time allows! In the meantime, try not to work your self to death lol! Stay Safe!
Just you wait... once you're done with school you'll be going nuts with work too! I used a GPS suction cup mount for the camera mount. Modified it a bit with a wood block to mount the camera, worked slick haha.
Jake I applaud you, your talent in music, the desire to repair and modify the old iron, and your dream of land and a business, and such a young guy. Please enjoy what you do and make time for yourself, life goes by sooooooo quickly. Thanks
Thank you Ed. I do my best not to get too wrapped up in work. Though on occasion, it happens! Taking this path in life has taught me how quickly it moves when you don't pay attention. Like they say, if you don't slow down, you'll miss it!
That was Awesome Jake!! Great Video! I loved the thumbs up to the guy in K5 love the old Chevys! If you get to come back to PPD 2022 I'll bring my Guitar and you play it because I can't!! Hahaha. Stay Safe and don't work to Hard! Your Pennsylvania buddy ya haven't met yet. But Will !
Thanks Darrell! Got a thumbs up back, too. Best part... there was a woman driving that rig! Dang, I sure hope PAPD happens next year. I'm itching to get back to it now that the 4WD is squared away. Would be good to meet some new friends too!
@@5Tractorguy That's Awesome a lady in a K5 I would have turned around!! Jk. And Yes I'm ready to plow. There is a plow day about a hour south of PPD this Saturday!! I'm excited. Anyways stay safe and I know your a busy man but I'll try to stay in contact and will give you updates on PPD 2022 as a couple of us locals will be putting it on!!
@@darrellfolk5284 I sure thought about it! Lol. Neato, please keep me posted on the next plow day down there! I get mixed info on occasion on what's happening so it would be good to hear from someone who's actually putting it on.
Always good to hear business is busy. I too decided with work I wasn't working weekends this year and enjoy life as much as I can. While that just means im not makeing money, I get to enjoy more of what I like. Take her easy man and catch ya on the next one
Sometimes ya gotta just make the decision and do it. Money isn't everything in life that's for sure, learned that early on. Good to hear from ya Steve.
That was awesome, love the song, wish you the best of luck with life. Really a bummer you're so far away, I would have a lot more work for you. Enjoy your videos always. See you soon, when you have time.
Great job Jake. Loved the picking and singing, you gotta pretty good set of pipes on you brother. Glad your taking Sundays off. Even the Father rested on the seventh day. Looking forward to future projects from you.
General Jake's Rep[air! I knew where you were. I've started wearing the grass and mowers out here in the state of confusion where both your uncle and myself dwell. Does me good to see a greasy fingered guitarist and a singer doing something in his natural range instead of blowing tonsils and vocal cords out trying to be a tenor wannabee. Keep on wrenching and picking. Glad all is well and you'll find a shop when it's time. NICE sounding box there Pal and GBWYall!
You must be well on your way to spring down yonder... past couple weeks have been windy and chilly up here. Not that I want it to be blistering hot, but it sure would be nice to crank the windows down driving around! 'Preciate it Lewie!
@@5Tractorguy I drove with the window down all the time years ago but really like the heater/a.c now. Been 70-ish here already. Silver maple leaves almost 3 inches but we're in a strange location that is really a tropical mountain zone. You ought to come see it sometime and round out your education! Blue Ridge Parkway is a NICE run!
Hey, I can't please everyone Mike haha... just a forewarning, there might me more picking/singing in the future. Got some banjo clips on hand from a couple bluegrass jams. At some point I'll post them up.
@@5Tractorguy Just yanking your chain, brother. "Wagon Wheel" has been done to death around here, but then so has "Rocky Top", "Fox On the Run", "Orange Blossom", "Foggy Mt. Breakdown", and a few more. I enjoy your video series. It was a good thing to keep me preoccupied last year when all the work went south. Would really like to have one of those old Simplicity outfits. Thanks!
Hey Jake Scott here good to see live and well Always enjoy the guitarpicking videos and the banjo Videos one of these days the head of the Cape and pick up that seat
Glad to hear all is well with you. I acquired an 816 with Onan CCKA which needs some work. Tempted to do a rebuild, but before I remove the engine, how much does the block and internals weigh? Shelburne Falls, MA, home of Clark's Corvair Parts. Tom from NE NJ.
Hi Tom, sorry for the delay. I think a long block with internals weighs around 70-80lbs... at a very rough guess. Is the tractor is Shelburne Falls? I'm just outside of Worcester MA myself...
Let see how serious ya are... Go to my 2020 Archive video, at about 4:30 you'll see my phone number on the side of my truck. Give me a call, I have a 520H parts tractor here with a good hydro rear end.
