I did the same thing. I had a great 1982 Nissan 280ZX Turbo, black and gold, but then the wife got pregnant and there was no way to fit a child seat. Looked at a 200SX, but the back seat wouldn't fit the car seat. Ended up with a Infiniti J30. The child seat fit with no problem, and I really liked the car....a lot.
Hoovie’s wife: “Ten inches is a lot” Hoovie: “The theme of today’s videos is overcompensating” Well, this is going to be a different video, to say the least.
& the noble scotty the mechanic would say, just lease any foreign luxury from the dealer, then give it back before it explodes, or buy any used japanese privately for a steal
it is not that bad we have an range rover with around 250000 km sinds brand new and it broke one time the engine had no power anymore further a solid and good car even when you do quite some towing
I'd put a few shiny pennies on them having discussed that between themselves, laughed, and used that to justify it over a non LWB Range Rover, just for the ten inches jokes.
Tyler, It was an absolute pleasure meeting you. Thank you very much for allowing us an opportunity to mend our relationship. My family and I are huge fans and we look forward to more videos! Congrats on 1 million subs!
If only it didn't take a huge youtuber with 1m subs to make a business do the right thing. Wouldn't that be incredible? Wonder how this would have gone if Joe Blow rolled up and had the same situation? Betting it would have been different.
You are not fooling anyone. The reference will remain the service you offer to simple walk-in customers, if that's below standard, your dealership is not worth visiting at all! Not trying to give you hard time here but PR stunts are for naive gullible people, treat everyday customers right and they will do the publicity for you. Did you also mend relationships with the ones you wronged off camera?
It's amazing the level of service you get when you have a million subscribers and just trashed their reputation. I'm sure they are still treating average Joes like crap.
Or just turn a child seat for 180 degrees which is completely safe and reasonable if the child isn't younger than 6 month and use original Mercedes Euro Isofix system hidden in the rear seat.
The E-Class is like the biggest german sedan, so I was incredibly surprised to see it didnt fit. I know a lot of parents with 2 seats who own passats and Audi A4s
Just an infant carrier will usually fit and leave plenty of leg room for the front passenger. When you add the quick connect base it moves the infant seat closer to the front passenger seat. Of the 4 cars I own, the front passenger eats their knees when the infant seat is installed with the base.
When you influence a lot of people in the car business, not counting YT, they tend to listen. Remember he still writes articles, and is part owner of a decent burger chain. Tyler maybe cheap with some things but he is not poor at all.
They could have gone full Towbin Dodge like with the delivering a frame-damaged Challenger and refusing to do anything about it. This is a step up in the response.
Honestly I've never really watched videos on this channel. I mean no disrespect. One thing that really astonishes me is that this dude buys cars like he's buying groceries.
Agreed on the warranty point - I just bought my first Rover and made absolutely sure it came with an extended warranty. But so far it’s been nice, quiet and powerful. Plan to buy another if this one doesn’t give me any major issues for a few years.
We are on our fifth range rover over the last 30 years put many many miles on these cars. Never had a major issue certainly not the air suspension. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Our current range rover is the diesel version an exceptional vehicle. Love your video’s.
We’ve had Range Rovers since 2011, starting with an evoque, all the way to Sport SVRS, TDV8s, TDV6s , they have always been amazing. Nothing ever went wrong, such awesome cars.
So glad it worked out in the end. I totally fell for the prank! The whole time I was watching i was thinking “im never going to buy a car for my wife without her being fully involved im picking the make, model, and even the color”. Smart man Hoovie! Love your videos .
Delighted that you are out front about the various problems Land Rover Limited's products are known to have. But these same vehicles also have engineering unlike virtually anything else on the road (or off the road) for that matter. I hope your wife will enjoy her 2017 Range Rover!
Late at night Tyler goes out back with a jackhammer and nails the engine... back in the morning, picks up camera: check engine came one, let’s go to the wizardsssds
About three or four years ago I bought an old Landrover Freelander for my wife. It said thank you by almost immediately spitting it's clutch slave cylinder (which is inside the bell housing) so it got the entire clutch and hydraulics changed, but since then it's been as good as gold and my wife absolutely loves it. We did some building work and it was towing a 2 ton trailer with it. Only failures had been one diesel injector and the viscous coupling bearings.
They are lovely looking, incredibly comfortable, stunning disasters, from my experience. Warranty is a must, but still doesn't make up for the thing going wrong every three weeks or so. I went in eyes wide open, have a great indy expert down the road. Both were terrible. And yet I still see them and they're like a siren. Hope it works out :)
Hey Hoovie I find your vids great, very informative as well as great fun. Luckily Mrs Hoovie still puts up with your crazy car buying and her comments are priceless, 10 inches is a lot and the knob is lovely.....great lady!!! I am a Brit and I live and work in Italy, I started my career with Land Rover Ltd in Solihull, now I am a major motorcycle lover (always was but now I can afford them I have 6) and I like cars too, recently I bought an old Audi S4 V8 and I am restoring her and enjoying her too. Great to chat pal, Simon
CHECK YOUR WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS HOOVIE!!! One of my customers owns a pre owned Rover HSE, and his extended coverage DOES NOT cover the air ride. It actually explicitly excludes it, because it’s a $17000 nightmare. Not sure if it’s different here in Canada, but you might wanna double check to make sure.
A 3 year old Range Rover! Oh dear. This car will be a gold mine for "what is broken" videos from Hoovie. Being British I know why RR depreciation resembles the Venezualan economy. Prepare for the Wizards critique, I doubt whether it will be very positive.
He's got a couple of years yet. Usually around the 5 year mark things start to fall apart. That's about the time when people who can afford these new think about changing them.
That’s great that they are willing to makeup the mistake they made with you. Most dealers aren’t like that reason I end up never going back to certain dealerships. Awww that was super nice, surprising the wife and getting the 👌. That’s what a good husband lives for. Got my sub and the thumbs up 👍🏼
meh, bumper to bumper warranty next 60k miles/4 years.... I expect nothing less from Hoovie than to track it or smth to lose his warranty! Now that would be an irresponsible financial decision worthy of Hoovie and his hooptie fleet :)
I love the E wagon too. You saved me from the same expensive mistake with the car seat. Im 6'5 and my wife is 5'11. The Audi ALLROAD has more rear space than the E it seams like. We brought the car seat with us.
The Ten-Inch joke had to be Hoovie's idea!! His wife is so sweet!! That gave it away. I knew it was some inside joking going on. With that said, being a tall-tall guy (6'8): that LWB Range Rover is looking really good. Keep the great work going Hoovie! Your videos are some of my favorite on RU-vid!
Range Rover are the best *off road* vehicles. They are literally *off the road* all the time: on a tow truck, on a lift,... Warranty doesn't _prevent_ the car from breaking... You will be left stranded. Why do you think the previous owner got rid of it, loosing probably $60k in the process? :)
@@ItsAlive111 yeah my FIL wanted a new Jaguar SUV. I refused to help him get a brand new one. but we got one at current model year with 1800 miles on it, for 13K under MSRP of the brand new counterpart.
