jesus man, as someone very comfortable with electronics im still getting anxiety just looking at that rats nest, all power to you man. Also glad to see my future R8 is still about ;)
I am a Sparky, domestic and commercial with electrical engineering background. Worked on Military Helicopter in previous life, but am very impressed in your patience and all this CAMBUS/vehiclewiring is baffling. I built a Kit Car 5 years ago and even getting my head around positive and Negative earth was tricky.. Keep up the great work Dean.
You should be so proud of yourself, a masterful car specialist 😁👍 I was a chartered engineer with 30 years experience or power stations but I would have never tried to do what you have done. Massive congratulations DEAN, YOU MUST NOW BE the most skilled car specialist on utube!!
Little short of absolute sheer genius. Said it before Dean if anyone can pull off something like this it’s you! Seriously good stuff this is - well done.
Dean you are a master craftsman I must admit when the engine turned over I had tears in my eyes and I'm a grown man you're very talented Dean this has got to be one of the best channels on RU-vid thank you mate 😊😊😊😊😊😊
I did an HND in computer science, but that wiring shit in modern cars is crazy, I can build computers, networks etc, but you are on another level, hats off Dean 👍
@@dApoTB You get a lot of Cisco CCNA in a computer science diploma. The first few modules in the HND is also about hardware and PC building. When I done my HND in CS about 10 years ago I already had full CCNA certification so only had to do one year at college instead of 2 as the accreditation points were automatically carried over. So yeah, he probably can comfortably build computers and networks, why is that so funny or hard to believe? They are a lot easier to build than most people would think.
@@sarcastixx74 it’s funny because there’s no way he can do any quality work in networking after just HND course. Building pc doesn’t count. Any kid can do it.
Awesome Dean. Had every confidence that you would get it to start & also that the flood damaged engine would work out for you. Great to see you happy too after all that faff with the wiring. Look forward to the next vlog 👍🏻
Dean, you are a Master, master, master automobile diagnostic tech! I certainly couldn't see any Audi/Skoda main dealer even attempting this. Keep up these interesting videos.
Very impressive man... it is clear that you can easily obtain VAG information. Also very recognizable to me as a VAG mechanic. I really enjoy following your videos!
Massive congrats to you Dean. I thought it was a tall order but you've smashed it. Btw I enjoyed all the wiring explanation. The wiring diagram is basically a road map that if you know how to read, you're sorted. Well done to you sir.
Brilliant stuff, well done. I find the wiring stuff really interesting, even though I'm not tech-y at all, as you have a great way of explaining it without making it dull. You should be massively proud of yourself for achieving that. Can't wait for the next video.
Fantastic Dean, really pleased for you. I love the detail you go into with these, gives me the confidence to tackle my own cars (on a much smaller scale) because frankly, what can possibly go wrong that can't be undone with a good sit and think
Dean hats off you have battled your way through something many would walk away from just on the fact of a little water, they would have run for the hills when they saw the wiring! .
That vlog was pure brilliance, I have done a fair bit on cars over the years so l appreciate your skills. Not sure that you can top this vlog but you never know.👍
Again and again your confidence always comes through on the vids, the wiring loom pile on the floor is enough to call it a week😩. Top work as usual 👌🫡🏴
Congratulations on getting all the wiring sorted & working if was me I'd have binned it long time ago wouldn't have even tried to figure it out. Can't wait see the finished VRS3 & what BHP it's running at 😏
Dean, you are braver and certainly far more skilled than I will ever be….amazing reassembling the wiring! I am at the 20 minute point so will be a hoot to hear the engine start! So wish I could buy tickets to that R8, alas, I live in Nova Scotia Canada! Congratulations! Just heard the engine! Awesome!!!!
So first of all Dean, kudos for doing all your homework! Honestly, I have wiring confusion anxiety so hats off to your persistence and dedication. I would of cried quietly and rocked in a corner! 😢😂
