Theres a lot of talk about uk medical weed and how the appointments go. Should you be nervous? What can you ask for? Well to answer these questions I recorded my appointment with my uk weed doctor!
@Drew bit older than u bro. Kl. And got financially ruined during the #fannydemic. Hence if currently out of work much will it cost me to get a prescription in my hand ✋️ if I got accepted cheers 🍻 from #Glasgow ☆ 🎩
@Giveusalaugh69 bro, can u give me some advice? 50 here started using green (certain types) that help with my problems. Tenfold, could u recommend somewhere as lost work due to the pantomime, i.e., fandemic/19 lol cheers from Glasgow ☆ 🎩
I suffer from Tourette's and chronic back neck and shoulder pain as I spasm in my sleep and weed has been the only thing that has truly helped me over the years , I just wanted to thank you for bringing these clinics to my attention and for all the good work you are doing. You will always be welcome for tea n biscuits here, Thanx a million and peace out.
Thank you Drew for providing this information. I am a very long term user but I did not know anything about the legal route until I came across your channel. You are providing a public service with your information.
for someone with bad anxiety this video really helped me to see how things go down and the type of questions they ask and stuff it just settles my mind a bit to be able to think of how to answer things, I've been trying to build up the courage to sort out a prescription for over a year now and I feel like this is going to help me to pull the trigger on it. thanks bro
I was an anxious mess and a complete bag of nerves before my appointment, but the Dr I spoke with at Mamedica was very supportive and basically wanted me to explain my condition and how I think Cannabis would help (I was honest and open about my past use and how it has helped this far). A few other questions, but all very relaxed and an environment of support, not judgement of any sort. Telling someone who suffers with anxiety 'not to worry' is the same as telling someone with depression to 'just cheer up', but you will be fine, really glad I committed to booking in and getting my prescription sorted - and I am certain you will too. Hope you get yourself the support you want :)
If you have bad anxiety then I really wouldn't suggest smoking weed it will make you have a full blown anxiety attack it has done me a few times but I suppose it depends on the strain I'm fine with indica old school bush type of weed and Thai weed but sativa send me so paranoid I have to try sleep it off lol
@@MonkeyUK.I hadn't been stopped in years I'm 30, got involved in a minor car accident where the lady wanted to create a whole load of drama and get police involved (why I don't know I was fully insured, taxed and mot'd and trying repeatedly to show her my licence for details and insurance etc) they did the whole "we have to breathalise and swab you it's procedure" bollocks, banned for 12 months and narrowly escaped 6 months in jail even though I hadn't even smoked anything since the previous evening and was on my way home from a 12 hour shift, got to love that "zero tolerance" policy for something that doesn't impair you and stays in your system for weeks yet perfectly fine to have a pint and get behind the wheel.. now my insurance is through the roof, criminal record will say drug driving for the rest of my life and when any employer reads that on a crb check, they instantly picture someone off their face on cocaine or something driving like a mad man.. it blows my mind these flawed laws make it onto paper let alone passed as law, but that's the UK for you.
Do you still need to pay for all thst weed like a doctor dealer with bud you like but they make money.. there not giving away free bud 90 plus grams a month for free are they .. if so ❤
Thank you for all the content on going medical, it has given me the kick up the ass I've needed for ages. I finally got round to doing it and had my consultation today and was accepted. So thanks again 🙌🏻
This channel has taught me more ways to help myself in the space of half hour of videos than a whole lifetime of awkward answer searching to many of these topics... this is what content was ment to be all those years ago 😅 look at the rubbish we all have to see online these days... actually good genuine info what more can you want 😊
Drew, I been following your content for years. You’ve become familiar face to me and I never get bored of your videos. Kudos on the driving bit because I’m about to go through the process and currently have my license taken after failing swob 2 times 🤦♂️ and don’t want to risk not getting it back. Thanks for clearing that up. Peace bro✌️
Such a relaxed appointment! Very helpful Drew. Thanks for all your sharing. It definitely makes sense to me. I'm going to apply. Taking the black market out of the equation & being legal is a big PLUS.😻
Dr Dave was great, so informative and helpful to me on my first starting out in the world of legal medical cannabis. If you aren't sure, nervous or worried about the journey then he is great to help guide you through it because it can look intimidating from the outside. This video would of been great to see before i went through the process to elevate some worries for me so thanks for sharing!
Kez, if you don't mind me asking, i know on the access scheme you get free repeat prescriptions, but how much did the first prescription cost! Feel free not to answer. But be thankful if you could. My appointment is at the end of june. Heres waiting!
Just had my initial consultation with Mamedica. It's only through Drews channel that I was even aware of the availability and possibility of getting this prescribed for my depression. Thanks for getting the info out there!
@@ronniespeirs1808 so some places like sapphire £49 assessment then the least you could get a month is like 10g approx £55. Every 3 months u must pay £50 for mandatory follow up
@@ronniespeirs1808 the 3 monthly thing I think is something that’s in law for now until they’ve worked everything out a bit more. I’ve had them every 3 months for a year. Make sure the clinic you join has an access scheme or is part of project 21 (medbud wiki website will fill you in) as being part of one of these (which is free) will give you cheaper flower in exchange for feedback on how it’s helped. Usually at around 5 a g
Thanks to this vid, I had a consultation with Dr Howells very recently. He's so straightforward and there to HELP now the law has changed. Don't be nervous and if you're thinking of doing the same, make a list (from medbud) of what you would like for the first consultation BEFORE the consultation. They will ask you what medication you want and how much as part of trying to understand your needs. It feels a bit weird but the practitioners (at any clinic) have heard it all and won't bat an eyelid.
Nice one bro, nice video 👏 I've been wanting to get a medical script for while now, but been SUPER anxious about it, the whole seeing the doctor part but the video has put my mind at rest so now I'm going to go with mamedica defo, thank you drew!!! 🤓🔥
I've been a medial used for just over a year now thanks to your vids putting me on! It's really great to see more info like this being put out there, hope that more and more people see this try to apply themselves
Thanks Drew great content I’d be very interested to see the video about the driving side of it that would be my only worry not being able to drive thanks 👊🏻
Please make a video about the driving please I’ve had stuggles as it is being a common smoker and relying on driving for work. I want to apply for a card because I do also feel I’m entitled and would be beneficial but never understood how it’d play with the law. Thank you for the amazing information and content you bring Drew!!!🎉
My interview was even EASIER! I just told him I have some lower back pain from bending down a lot at my job, and sometimes have trouble getting to sleep at night. No further questions and he said I could benefit from medical marijuana.
Its such a racket. The doctor wants to give it to you because that's his business model, then the state get theirs money when you pay for the permit or certificate, and once everyone's been paid off, its magically legal.
Bro some guy was IN on twitter telling me I can’t drive! Saying I drove to the train station in my video 😆 and I’m illegal and not insured! Man went in as well! Lol, I had to tell him my doc has already advised me and I’m not doing anything wrong ffs 🤦♂️. Great vid mate keep it up 💪🙏☯️☮️🕉
Being from New Zealand, we've recently been lucky enough to have access to Medical Cannabis too, similar process, speak to a Cannabis Clinic, tell them if your all ready using or wanting to use Cannabis, pick n chose, pay n wait then enjoy. The best thing about medical cannabis is you know what your getting each and every single time without fail. No more turning up to the dealers house and getting what your given or going without, and the consistency, it doesn't change, its a fantastic thing to finally have.
Love these vids I'm currently in the process with Sapphire medical they have now received my medical records and are reviewing them so I'm hoping to have a consultation pretty soon. Once I get it up and running I think I'm going to switch to Mamedica aswell as they seem so relaxed and I really like the range of flower they have. Keep the content coming bro.
@@irvy1974 I just got an email about an hour ago saying they have reviewed my medical records and booked and paid for my consultation on Tuesday so I really hope this is the start of a new chapter. This will be a complete game changer for me and my condition without having to break any laws.
@@seanclark5165 yes mate I got prescribed 10gs of Milky cake indica dominant hybrid 18% THC and then 50mg CBD 4mg THC per ml oil. 30ml bottle it's useless but first time I was just taking what they gave me. 7 days after the first prescription arrived on the sapphire app it let me request more and I just told them I said in the consultation I smoke on average 2gs a day and yous gave me 10g tub and I managed to get a week out of it could I get another tub to do me until my next consultation which is a week on Tuesday and they didn't even reply they just sent the email with a link to pay for it and it's actually coming between 4-5pm today. My next appointment I'm just going to put the case out there that realistically I need 40gs a month and that's on the low end and tell them I don't want the oil no more and want to pick the 20% THC Gorilla glue for daytime smoke and 25% THC La Kush Cake for night smoke. Don't think it should be a problem. Can't believe how relaxed the whole process has been the hardest part was getting my medical records from the NHS lol
Hay dude, I'm an OG, I'm 47 but I've only just started smoking again, well a few years, after getting tons of meds, that i hate taking now, but I used to smoke hash all the time, back in the day, we never had weed. Now it's just what whatever I get. I've just signed with medicare, same place as u. So abit more help would be nice. Sounds like I'm been on the same meds as u as well. Any advice would be great. Keep the message going dude, more people need to know about this.
Just about to have my appointment in AUS, I've been putting it off cause I don't like to talk about what I've been through but this helped calm my nerves alot so thanks mate
Thank you for this video. I am an autistic person and nothing else has ever worked for me and getting street stuff is getting far too dangerous because of all the chemical residues and additives they put in it to make more money. The times they are a changin'.
Really appreciate this looks like if be able yo have a proper chat woth them about things and nt just get turned away. I think you covered costs in your QA video but could you fo a break down, the appointment costs and bud cost
It’s not legal yet only as a prescription and That’s in a real grey area as well since drew had 6 cops around him saying shit and he got out of it but still we have many years to come until it’s legalised probably below 50 years but I hear a lot that it’s never going to be legalised like ever cuz it’s the uk and we are shit but who knows I can’t predicted anything so don’t believe me
Thank you for this video... i had no idea this was a thing like that. So far im Eligible. theyve had my medical records, now just waiting for my appointment on 7th july.. David from this video is doing my consultation which is cool as after watching this makes that easier as already can see the guys sound :) Love the content Drew :)
@andigorani really well. I got prescribed 60g a month but realistically I couldn't afford much more anyway. Was such an easy process, they rang my doctors for my medical records day after I applied online and was eligible
Im in Florida and our medical program allows up to 4oz of flower increase from the standard 2.5oz allowance. Ive been getting close to my allowance lately because its been hard to find quality flower. idk how to ask about it without feeling like i smoke too much, which i really dont its just quality problems in my state.
Yo drew! Proper video, respect! Do you happen to know anything about getting prescribed cannabis while on opioid substitution/maintenance treatment? I’m just guessing there is OST or methadone clinics in the UK?
Been watching for awhile and tried dipping my foot in, just paid for my cosultion fee on the back of this vid I will def let you know how this works out Keep up the good work Ps could you do a vid on how much all this cost
He’s right, you walk in give them 200 bucks and then you just buy what you want. There is no guidance here. They just give you a license and you have no help figuring out what you need.
I’ve been thinking about this for a while. I have general anxiety disorder and arthritis in my right knee from a football injury when I was a teenager both diagnosed.
i live in a country where medical marijuana is technically legal but no doctor prescribes it except for some very rare and extreme cases. I’m moving to the UK in 2 months and i can’t wait to finally medicate legally
Doing it for the community! I can't do what you do but most of my friends now have a medical prescriptions thanks to me. Kinda your fault as well. Thanks Drew
@@deadmanwalking5576 no don’t play games bro Please don’t take what I sed a bad way I was joking from a comment made on a other vid bro. The gaming is my son Gravedigger bro I got to say it and u no it’s coming right Is that not a dead boring job lol Dead quiet tho I bet 😂😂 Sorry I had to say it
I just signed up thanks for all the information on the can card ect can you do another on the can card to specify if it can stop people from being nicked thanks drew all information helps your only guy I trust the information.
A video about driving while on a weed script would be great. I've been on heavy prescription drugs due to pain from getting very badly burnt and I'm completely fed up with feeling like a zombie. I really want to try medical cannabis but the issue about driving worries me. I can't walk very far due to my feet and legs being so badly damaged so if I couldn't drive I'd pretty much stuck in the house.
As a medical patient, you're likely always going to be over the ridiculous 0.2 limit, you got a statutory defence providing you're not impaired at the road side. If you are found to be impaired then you no longer have that defense so they recommend not driving until you know how cannabis affects you after vaping it (important point to note) so generally 2hours after vaping would be OK.
@@xpandax thanks for the advice. Good to know. I've been worried about it since I got pulled over and they found my grinder with a little bit of bud in it. They just put the weed down the nearest drain so that's no big deal but decided to call a traffic car with a drugs wipe. Standing waiting for the test to arrive and then the 8 mins you have to wait for the results was horrible, especially as I'd been smoking that morning. I was sure I was going to lose my licence. Without my car I'd be screwed. Luckily the test came back negative. I don't know how. I don't know who was more surprised, me or the police. The way i understand it weed stays in your system for about 28 days so I don't know what happened. The only thing I can think of is the test was faulty somehow. I was fine to drive but like you said I'm more than likely over the limit most of the time.
This clinic looks amazing... sapphire pushed 10g of low thc cbd bud on me that I clearly didn't want and will only give me 30g monthly even tho I need around 60g monthly... I'll definitely be making a switch when possible
Drew, just a quick question mate. How much did/does it cost for your first prescription? I understand you get repeat prescriptions free. But how much for all that first one, if you don't mind answering. Cheers for getting this information pit there.😊
I suffer with severe anxiety, so much so I pretty much only leave my house to put the bins out etc. I cant travel at all without feeling panicked and claustrophobic - its literally ruined the past 4 years of my life. I was put on fexofenadine as a teen, now im on sertraline 100mg from 50mg for first year. I also beg my doctor for sleep aids when I have bouts of insomnia which literally drives me to insanity (once to twice a year) they only give me 7 days worth and i have to make that last the year. I cant do this forever - Medical cannabis seems like it could do multiple birds in one stone im so intrigued. I hate to think at some point in my life too im gonna have to go through the withdrawal symptoms when I eventually get off these :(
Hi my dude where do u orders there the packs of green I see u guys on here I'm am older then Ur usual lot LOL I've applied for mamedic but just wondered were I can order some to get delivered to me . Cheers Ur doing a good thing on here keep it up my dude 👌
Hi I’m new to watching your videos and am a fellow medical cannabis user. I was wondering whether you own a canncard? And what your thoughts are on them. After watching your videos I’ve realised there is a heck of information that I don’t know about. I never realised there were so many other clinics, some that give choice on what cannabis strains you can have. That’s not how my clinic works sadly. Thanks for educating me and so many others
