Drum and bass is one of those genres where you can really go by your own to a rave, I don't know but the energy is always on point and the people are always open to each other.

Respect for doing this bro. I'm 33, all my friends have families and I went out for the first time ever by myself last weekend. Felt strange at first but then weirdly liberating. Forces you to have conversations.

As a german raver, living between Cologne and Dusseldorf (20 minute drive each) I used to do that on a regular basis, if none of the 20 or so bass-addicts in my circle of friends were interested in a particular rave. Or if I wanted to get to know new people without having an intimidating amount of people surrounding me, I'd just get a beer with some friends at home before heading towards the rave solo. Cologne has the most wholesome scene I ever had the joy of celebrating with. If you lose your wallet or are in need of a refreshment (always hydrate when dancing!) there will at least be one person happy to help you. Wholesome as f*ck. 🥰

You inspired me to go to a event in a club on my own. It actually was a German techno rave and I had a really great time. Unfortunately it was pretty difficult to connect with other people there because everybody is kinda dancing on their own and not in groups. I'd love to see you going to a German Techno event too and maybe you're gonna be able to connect with some people. Maybe I was just unlucky with that. But anyways it was a great experience and the energy I got there was amazing.

Back in the mid to late 90s to early 2000s, this is exactly what we all did before SM took over the scene... Traveling from city to city weekly to see djs that didn't make stops in your town..

Glad you are getting out there and having fun mate. I spent a whole summer solo travelling Europe West to East and it was one of the best decisions of my life. Forced me to get out there and strike up convos wherever I went. Going to clubs alone was one of the highlights bc EVERY SINGLE NIGHT I did I ended up having a crazy ass time and usually met a girl as well! I still talk to some of the people I met to this day.

I broke up with a girl I met whilst living at university. She moved out of the flat we had together and all of my friends left. I was isolated for months on my own at university and seeing people going out, having fun. I one day thought f this. I got ready went to the shops, pre drinks with myself to get marginally drunk. Then went out on my own. At first it was so daunting and I felt awkward. I met so many people and made so many friends. I ended up meeting so many girls as well. I had some of the best nights out on my own. If your down in life and feel isolated and alone.. you don’t need to be. Just go out and have some fun on your own. Force yourself to build relationships with other people. Show everyone the real you and have the best fun. All the best bros and lasses. Now go have some fun!
