50 years ago I used to call there for Steak pie on the way home from fishing the Trent or Witham, stopped only because they opened the M62 section to the A1, it was good then so nice to see it still keeping up the standard.

Fun vid to watch this. I used to live 15 mins walk away in Crofton from the REDBECK caff and ive seen some mental goings on int mornings in there after a night out in wakey. Food looks better than I remember. Used to be the REDBECK special we went for. I remember the old woman that worked there that used to have to deal with truckers and half a room full of drunk idiots at 4am.... SPECIAL she used to shout and 5 drunk idiots would stagger up to the counter not knowing who she was shouting at. thanks for the flash back fella. :) Keep up the good work. Ta Andy.
I remember 30 odd years ago when I was a young lad , Wakey in those days were unreal , me and the lads were pissed as as but always got the taxi driver to stop at the Redbeck cafe to sober up before heading back home to Glasshoughton . Good times

I think it's a good idea someone else ordering your food....If you order it and they recognize you they may make a super special effort to impress. Stranger goes in orders food...you review it....then you appear after the review...and tell it like it really is. Keep these places guessing and on their toes....sort of a mystery shopper thing.Maybe a revist to some previous reviews...test them out...are the standards the same no matter who you are. Undercover.....

That does look good for the cash spent and open 24hours. My local diners breaky is 2 sausage, 3bacon, 2 egg, 2 black pudding, 2 hash browns, beans and tomatoes for 8.50 oh and tea or coffee. Keep up the great reviews Danny
Great looking for for 16 quid. Was a bit disappointed you didn't scarf more. The breakfast looked good, one banger was a bit of a let down though. As for the pie, I HATE kidney so I'd have completely steered clear of that. The amount of food you got was amazing.
This chap is a rare thing on RU-vid. He is himself and not fake like the majority. I'm a tight git but that was decent value. His reaction to a cup of gravy is akin to others winning the lottery. Who was that tool who said is it halal? - yeah the bacon is mate! This is traditional British food.

Read this halal, it must be slaughtered in a manner known as dhabiha That means cutting through the jugular vein, carotid artery, and windpipe in order to drain all blood from the carcass. In Islam, the consumption of blood is considered haram.
