5.5 pounds of Gyoza dumpling. Two people foolish enough to try it. To Tokyo! ► JOIN us on Patreon: / abroadinjapan ► WATCH us try Monster Ramen: • Monster Ramen Challeng... Business Enquiries: talent@tokyocreative.jp
People in urban areas often ignore people who are naked or carrying swords. If they're on PCP, the idea goes, they won't be able to see you if you pretend you can't see them.
I'll be shamefully honest. I could probably finish that gyoza without too much trouble. Since the time-frame is an hour anyways. If it were half-an-hour, I doubt it.
Yep... Eating with your hands is the best strategy for large portions. Maybe pop in a few Fisherman's friends every 10 minutes to keep you motivated...
Well guys, we've eaten Wankosoba Noodles, Monster Ramen and now a Silly Size Gyoza Dumpling. BUT WHAT CHALLENGE SHOULD WE DO NEXT? Let us know where you'd like to see us go next! - Also I'm still not convinced Natsuki beat me on this one. We tried to weigh what was left on our plates, however (unsurprisingly) the kitchen scales weren't big enough to handle them.
Abroad in Japan you should do a challenge where you both have to buy 2000-3000 yen worth of convenience store food for each other and see who eats the most as a challenge 😁
-If Chris didn't throw up, he could've eaten more and maybe won -By throwing up, Natsuki isn't going to get as fat after eating like 8000 calories of gyoza.
I love how nobody’s talking about how natsuki put birthday candles on his gyoza, it was April when they filmed this, and he said his birthday was august😂
The other day I watched your documentary on Fukushima that was so, so brilliantly done, and I instantly remembered this video right here and thought to myself, "I can't believe this is the same guy" 😂👌
I think i've realized your fatal mistake, Chris. Your fork was upside down, stopping you from getting the optimal amount of gyoza in your mouth. A rookie mistake.
Mikey Chen tried this challenge and he didn't get far despite being a professional about eating! Said ideas so greasy and gross it was the worst experience of his life lol, at least it certainly looked like it!
Bruh one slice from the center would be enough to fill me up like a burrito. I guess with Sumo Wrestlers or something they need to make the food challenges absurd
@@TankManHeavy It's POSSIBLE. There's people who will eat that much in hot dogs, but you have to train for it. Either that or have a special stomach like the one lady who won. A bigger issue is that the Low Quality really hampers your ability to eat it. You would get FAR sicker eating mediocre food than eating something really delicious. So you're having to force yourself to fight the food far sooner. The big draw is that it gets people to fail the challenge and make the place a BUNCH of money.
Thanks for all the amazing videos! 2 months ago my first ever relationship ended and your videos gave me enough of distraction when I couldn't sleep at night. It may sound a bit weird, but thanks for helping me through a tough time of love sickness. I cant thank you enough!
HardcoreHamster33 thanks for the kind message, it's still difficult because we cant avoid eachother, but no one here wants to hear the details 😂. It means a lot that you replied, really kind of you :)
You never fail to impress Chris, I love the way your videos are filmed, the topics and the fact that it's more of a sassy documentary than just another pretty much video diary of a person living in Japan. I've seen some of your videos multiple times, and they're always really good. Thank you for your work and good luck for the future!
I’ve been binge watching your videos the past couple days (instead of studying for my finals) and your videos never fail to make me laugh! Love your sarcasm combined with the informative message. So, thank you and keep going! :)
You both are the cutest/coolest BROS EVER!!. Absolutely love watching you guy's eat and travel through Japan. I hope to bump into you guys this coming August when I visit Japan!! 😊😊
"Ah, it seems you like food recently!" "You became a big face!" XD Been wondering when this video was coming out XD - I wonder if it would have been easier to eat if the gyoza skins were thinner?
Good effort fellas! This keeps popping up on my page so I share it with my dumpling and gyoza loving mates. It's definitely on my list to try when I visit Japan :) (you're giving me so many ace ideas! Thanks!)
Well since finding your channel about a month ago you have done a few things for me without you realizing it. 1) Helped me decide what I want to do once I finish University (I've just started) which is to teach abroad in Japan, 2) Given me a goal to spend the next 6 years working towards (learning Japanese, and getting my degree), 3) Given me a reason to feel like spending a shat ton of money on University is worth it. So thanks and cheers from some random Canadian 20 year old you've never met before.
Bout to study abroad in Japan for a couple of months. Was pretty scared at first but since I found this channel a couple days ago and started going through it I'm much less anxious about when I'll be going there in a few days. Greatly appreciate your stuff.
I think you've now done videos that could be tied back to most of the Seven Deadly Sins.... except wrath. Looking forward to that one (especially if it features Natsuki)
I'm still in disbelief... How can someone as awesome as Natsuki exist?! I feel like Natsuki is just this awesome all the time, like he doesn't even know the camera is there.
Since when was the separate contest between Natsuki and Chris decided by who ate the entire thing? Every contest prior was determined by whoever ate the most.
8:15 You guys look like you just have so much fun together. Not to reign old man reminiscence upon you, but just imagine the memories of this you'll have in twenty years…
I went over to Kinoshita Yuka's channel to see her do it. I was already very impressed when she finished it - then she had another dish afterwards. Mind blown. 😯
reallygraceful Cool. And awesome! Did not know you watch this channel. I love your channel. As much as this channel. And I love this channel so much. Hope this doesn't come across as creepy. 😅
Hey mate. I know this is in relation to some other videos that you've released about all those hateful comments that you reviewed but keep dusting it off. This is by far my favourite channel and it only gets me more excited to get to Japan a third time. It's entertaining and there's a lot of effort in some videos showing first timers in Japan how to be respectful and still have a great time. On a different topic! Maybe you've covered this topic already or at least heard about it but... I read about some pretty seedy bars in tourist areas of Tokyo with foreign bouncers and some of my mates didn't believe the horror stories. They ended up believing it when they went into one without me. As much as Japan is a fantastic place, it would be good if people could be more aware of this problem because it happens way too much. One less person getting drugged and getting whacked with a massive bill. Keep up the good work man. From another fan in Australia.
@@EthanThomson The point is, the dumpling bit is really dense and filling (it expands in your stomach), I think it'd be harder to eat just the outside than just the filling.
I first went to Japan 30 years ago! Total shock. But I honestly feel that you understand it you have a real connection. it's so hard if and when you come back. I always think of my spiritual home. You have à. Good friend. Totally envious! ARIGATO x x
Hey Chris, Love your videos, hope that you see this comment, and I just wanted to know that I think you should organise your videos which are part of a series together, so youtube can show me all three. I would love to see different series but together it would make the continuity better. Travelling to japan for my internship, very excited, your videos always make me drool or just envious of your life in japan(but in a good way), so been rewatching some of your videos with tips
I know its all done and dusted, but I'm assuming when they brought the gyoza out, the two plates weighed the same? Was there a possibility of weighing the plates at the end to determine the true winner? 😛
