He's got what it takes, but like for most big men, the question is whether he can stay healthy. When the trade with Detroit was voided due to a failed physical, you have to consider whether he's been hiding injuries while on the Nuggets and whether that contributed to some of his poor play or perceived laziness.

The future looks extremely bright for the Magic. Banchero is going to be a superstar, Wagner is a stud, Wendell Carter Jr is improving each year, Suggs has potential and then there is Bol Bol who has made a huge leap this year. On top of that, it looks like they will get a decent pick from the draft this year. They could be an incredible team if everything comes together.

I feel like Bol Bol wasn’t a bad player when he first got drafted. He just needed the right opportunity. Fantastic analysis, Andy. Imagine the growth curve Bol Bol is experiencing as he's given the opportunity to play thru his mistakes...watching game tape, adjusting and improving his performance, aided by a training and coaching staff that believes in him and encourages him. Imagine his "upgrade" at season's end and over the summer when he has a chance to truly reflect on the last season's results and spend quality time working to fill in the holes in his game. The upside for Bol Bol and the Orlando Magic is staggering. They may not be the winningest team in the NBA right now but they are definitely my favorite team to watch. We expect draft picks to enter the league like Luka or they're a bust. Most new players need at least 4 years to develop for their true potential to show. I enjoy seeing players evolve and turn into producers/stars, and they still have plenty of time ahead of them.

What’s even better is he’s on a Magic team that is trying to get better and even has an outside shot at the play-in. It's good to see Bol getting a chance. I really wish Omer Yurtseven would get a chance to play in Miami. He's the best big man on the Heat besides Bam, but Spoelstra won't play him.

People worried about players “positions” 😂. Just put the ball in the basket and keep the other team from scoring as much. Basketball 101.

Compared to Nic Claxton who is the same age and approx same size Bol Bol is -30 in rtg stats. Minus 30.
