Honestly I hated what they did to shaggy and fred. They made shaggy into a simp, despite there being a whole compilation of him rizzing up women without even trying. Fred was always such a likeable guy in the original series, even showing love for his team. They absolutely butchered their characters.
The only good part was when the Sheriff ran over Velma with his car. I think any one with at least 1 functioning brain cell can agree he's the best character in the show.
I just wanna say, I never saw the series. After seeing all the videos of why it’s bad and endless “This show is awful”, I just wanna ask this to all the people at HBO. “WHY IS THIS GETTING A SECOND SEASON”!?!? We have great shows like Inside Job, MODOK, Gravity Falls, who had strong followings and people demanding more and they were canceled? There is something seriously wrong.
Politics isn't the issue. In fact, some of the best stories in media have tackled politics in one way or another, whether it'd be social or federal. The problem is that you need to write these political messages with nuance and depth.
‘Velma’ the ‘Batman & Robin’ of animated shows, also what’s even the point of making it a “Scooby-Doo” show that doesn’t have fucking Scooby in it? They might as well just have made an original series, but even then it would have been about as enjoyable as getting an injection 5 times every day
I see this show as raceswapped self-interest fan fiction to boost Mindy Kaling's ego that doesn't care for the integrity of the original characters at all. It's obvious Mindy Making doesn't give an f about the Scooby-Doo universe and only used it for its IP and name recognition 'cause otherwise no one would have watched her badly written show. This show isn't canon for me so I choose to ignore it and not give any financial support.
I reluctantly watched the whole season. It had some good moments but truly 100% it just wasn’t Mystery Inc. Just them in name only. And very much a Kaling self insert of what I feel her high school years were. You can tell she had a lot of insecurities about herself growing up that she projects onto Velma. Like the “hairy gorilla arm” line in the first episode is CRAAZZYYYY
Just so know that if ur title would have said, "I watch one epsiode so u don't have too?".... I'd oroabaly would have still watched it if it wasn't for ur honest opinion. U sir- r VERY brave. I'm sorry that u watch that- even if it costed ur life (I know u we're joking on that) Anyways- I'm disgusted. This use to be my childhood! Why do people keeping taking something that is ment to be for childeren (or yough adults) into something.... Ugly?.... (Sorry for the bad grammer and spelling)
i only watched the clips of this show and i am suprised of how this show was a sel infert of mindy kalling´s fantasies. It´s clear that she´s a snape in real life. Who was bullied, but never overcoming this, thinking like the world owens you for everything that you suffered.
Isn't funny how Zombie Island and Mystery Incorporated did a darker and edgier take on Scooby Doo far much better than this shite. How is it that a film made for kids and a cartoon meant for is much more mature than a show for adults?
I don't know much about this show because I haven't watched it and I don't want to because I heard it's really bad but one of the things that I heard was replacing Shagy with a black guy I think it's really disrespectful to replace such an iconic character with someone else I don't know what they were thinking if they replaced Shagy with a black guy to fight against racism this isn't the way to do it and I'm not a hypocrite because if some show or movie decided to replace an iconic black character with a white one I'd be just as pissed off for example if Sony decided to replace Miles Morales with a white character that would seriously piss me off just as much Miles is such an awsome character in In To The Spider-Verse and if Sony makes that kind of a change I'm gonna be furious
