I Wrecked My 1,500 Horsepower Big Block Camaro In the Burnout Pit (Damage is Pretty Bad) 

Bummed… but, What do you guys think of the Chief idea?

Toast- “I’m the baddest burnout car ever” Neighbor- “the fuck you ain’t (cuts brake line)”

Pull the drivetrain for Chief and put Toast in his final resting place next to ticket booth so everyone can pay their respects as they enter the FF!

I completely agree with the majority of people. Neighbor holds the crown vic burnout title forever. The power plant needs to go in something special that YOU want to build.

Get your hands on a Holden UTE and put the power train in that, that would be epic!!! Don't make another burnout crown vic.

Hopefully you get to read this amongst everything else, there's a few things I reckon you should consider. 1. You ran Warbird for ages - it's a dialled, purpose built burnout car. Think about what you liked about Warbird when you were doing burnout's in it, what worked, what felt right, what didn't what you'd improve/change. And also consider these from a servicing perspective. Then think about what might match up to those well that will also be possible to drop the drivetrain into. 2. Talk to Kevin (even if it's only for advice, not necessarily for him to build)! See if he has any suggestions about what body might work from an engineering point of view, and what he would look for and do to make it easier to service and work well. I'm sure this will be a car that will require a lot of maintenance - if you're going to build it, may as well do it right and make future Cleet and James' lives easier. You are always saying how easy Mullet is to work on - do it for this one too! 3. Consider whether this is going to be something you might take to AUS like you did with Toast originally. What I find funny about Toast is that you originally went to Summer Nats as an all American Muscle burnout car. And that USA/AUS wrap that ended up on it kinda became more relevant as the car went through it's many changes. Come the wreck, Toast was an American car with an Aussie built motor in it - the wrap was perfect in that it represented both origins of the car. Taking an Aussie motor in an Aussie car (some people have talked about the HSV vehicles that were released in the US under Chev badging - the GTS Monaro and R8 Clubsport) to Summer Nats is nothing really different. Taking an Aussie motor in a classic US body is going to be something different, and spiritually continues on from where Toast has left off. 4. Do it as a build series. Document it like the old vids of LeRoy/Ruby and drop it in it's own playlist. It'd have a bit of a throwback feel to the older days of the channel, and you can show off how far you've come as a shop with all that expertise there. Great opportunity to showcase what you're all capable of now to build something awesome.

Can we just take a minute to appreciate the YEARS of burnouts neighbor has been through without having any issues?

I feel like the burnout Vic already has its place... and that is neighbor. It’s time to come up with something unexpected. I have no doubt y’all would be able to find another extraordinary idea!

I agree with some of the other suggestions that there is no need for a second crown vic burnout car, Neighbour has that perfected. Look for something new and different to put the powertrain in. I love the idea suggested by others of using a Aussie derived vehicle like a Pontiac G8 or Chevy SS.

I feel like neighbor should keep its throne of the best burnout vic. Never lets you down and always rips! I think you need to find something unique just like how mullet turned out to be.

I'd swap the engine into something else. I would not do a crown vic. You can't take neighbors thunder away man. It has been a solid car and deserves the top spot for vics. It would be a slap in the face to neighbor!!

I remember when you guys got neighbor for Ed and what he meant to the channel. That fact that you guys still rip neighbor for the people at every show is a testament to y’all’s quality of character. At the end of the day, just do whatever feels right brother!

For whatever car you decide to put it in can we see the actual process of it being built like we did with Leroy, ruby and neighbor. I think that the lack of sharing the process with toast makes it feel like a car that’s just there and not really all that special. I miss a lot of the shop content.

When cleetus slammed the door on toast I was genuinely surprised I’ve literally never seen that dude show an ounce of anger and I’ve been a subscriber since like year one. Way to keep your cool man! You’ll fix it! 🇺🇸

I love that when cleetus talks about anything from the cars he owns, to the work being done, he always says WE. It's never just about him. "Since WE got toast, all WE have had is problems." And that's just one of thousands of examples.. He genuinely loves and appreciates his boys and knows he wouldn't be here without them.

Or - hear me out here, you already have a C5, C6, C7 and had a C8 on the channel, time for a C4! Since the 80's Camaro didn't work go for a 80's Vette! A blown big block burnout C4 would be perfect and badass

Someone mentioned putting the drivetrain in a GTO. I think that would be a great idea. Stuffing that motor in a Holden chassis would really make it come full circle and quite possibly put it in the Warbird class.

I'd like to see the motor put in something new and different, but keep Toast and put it on the roof of the ticket booth or something, I think that would be pretty slick

Toast was cool because it was unique in the fleet. If the third gens don't make a good burnout car, then definitely change to a different setup, but something other than a Vic would be cool.

DON'T put it in a Crown Vic. Neighbour will get sidelined. you already have a sick Crown Vic. Best to put it in something smaller that will navigate the burnout pits better and be easier to stop and control. If possible stay with GM I think, but anything would be cool. AMC Gremlin? lol

This probably won't be seen or anything like that but fuck it. As an Australian and someone who's been following the burnout scene since the early 90's you can't be putting Benny's big block into an Australian car. Toast needs to go and I believe Crown Vic's already have a huge play in the channel. I believe this motor should be going into a 1987 Buck Grand National.

There's gotta be something cooler, more unique, and more reliable out there that that beast of a power plant can fit in. I love the Crown Vic content but let Neighbor keep the burnout Vic title, he's earned it.

The whole Toast theme was to be an all American burnout car that you took to the summer nats in Australia, and staying with the all American theme and the king of the mullets, get yourself a 78 Corvette, i'd say leave the Crown Vic title to Neighbor, the whole setup for that car is perfect. Im impressed with how much abuse that things been through and it keeps on rocking.

I agree with the comments. Putting that motor into a crown vic will ruin the need for Neighbor since they will both be blown V8s that roast tires. I think getting back to a car build would be great content, definitely miss those days.

Let Neighbor keep the crown Vic burnout title and build something new. The reliability of neighbor is really insane honestly. I can't believe that thing has held up for so long with no major issues.

Being that motor was built in Australia by the guys at Castlemaine Rod Shop. I would find myself a 04-06 GTO and put that thing in a GTO. Make the guys proud in Australia.

I could tell how frustrated you were Cletetus by the way you shut toast’s door. I’ve definitely done that before. But powertrain is safe and it’s good to go in chief I love that idea. Keep up the great work and videos

Before I even got to the end I was thinking that Toast was cursed. I agree with others saying Neighbor has the crown vic burnout car on lock. I'd like to see you guys put everything in one of the American Holdens like a Pontiac GTO or Chevy SS to keep it connected to it's Australian roots. Or a fox body would be cool too.

Put it into a more “dedicated” and built burnout car like warbird is built. You already have an awesome blown crown vic. I wouldn’t waste Toasts drivetrain on yet another vic.

I was thinking that you've never had luck with Toast before you even mentioned it being cursed. I like the idea of moving the powertrain to something new, but not in love with the idea of another crown vic. Hell, I'd like to see that big block in the flatbed truck from the track.

While I like the crown Vic idea, I agree with a lot of the other comments, neighbour is THE burnout crown Vic. And id hate to see something step on its toes. I think it needs to be something else very muscle - type. Maybe an old C-10 or something?

While i'm not opposed to the Chief idea i think everyone that's been around since the old videos with Ed has a soft spot for neighbor and i personally think it should be the only featured crown vic on the channel. Besides neighbor is a burnout car already. I would like to see something obnoxious. A smaller car with that huge engine it would be fun to watch. Maybe a foxbody?

I figured it out!!! During the cops and robbers I saw you go past the humvee. Yes! You guessed it! A super charged, alcohol, Aussie powered humveeeee!!!!!

Love the idea of swapping the power train into something else cool but not a crown Vic. Kind of makes neighbor obsolete and I love neighbor.

I think Toast drivetrain should go in something like an ‘04-‘06 GTO. It’s the same car as the Holden Monaro in Australia, and it would be like a cousin to Killabee. It would be like paying an homage to the Aussie burnout scene all in one car.

Put Toasts engine in something else and then build a place for toasts shell at the freedom factory for fans to get pictures with toast.

Given that Toast was originally designed for Summernats in Australia why not consider a third option of putting it all into an Australian Car? The Chevrolet SS sold in the US is a rebadged Holden Commodore which most would argue is the most iconic Australian car.

Let Neighbor shine as the badass vic in the fleet! I think neighbor's build has proved itself for what it has done for all this time. Time to find a new body to put that big block with a more thought out build. Much like Mullet ended up being a purpose-built racecar after tinkering with Ruby for so long and seeing the potential.

Hey, I have always been a fan of Toast BUT I have to agree, that car has fought you tooth and nail from day 1. It does seem to just be a doomed to fail venture. Plus, poor Toast is twisted REALLY badly. I guarantee that whole chassis is tweaked and there are going to be multiple welds that are now compromised from that hard and off center of a hit. If you are thinking of moving on from Toast, now is definitely the time to do it.

I find it hilarious that neighbor is legitimately the most problem free car in the entire fleet, thing gets absolutely ragged out everytime it's driven, and its mod powered. 5.4 FTW

I’m inclined to agree with the general consensus here. Neighbour is its own beast. Put that engine in a smaller car. Smaller wheel base. You won’t regret it.

Not really feeling Chief with the drivetrain and power plant. I think this every SINGLE time you rip Nieghbor but can we just get a shout out on how ridiculously reliable that engine has been? I feel like that engine has seen more redline than anything else in the country and it's still absolutely rippin. You guys should dyno neighbor to see what he makes! It would be awesome to get a comparison HP number from when you first swapped it! But y'all should go for putting everything into something different than a crown vic. Ed would be damn happy with the performance of Neighbor over all these crazy burnouts and drifting you have put it through. What a trouper, when the show must go on Neighbor just does what needs to be done.

All my years watching I have never ever seen cleet actually get mad and show it,he’s been through so much and still he rolls with it with his big smile, so thank you garrett for putting your hard earned cars on line for our entertainment, that was a hard hit buddy for sure.

With how expensive that motor is, I think it’d be worth looking into a mildly built classic car 🤷‍♂️ Something about seeing you rock Warbird just has me thinking. The redemption burnout in Neighbor was nasty as hell!! BUT I don't think Chief is the way to go. In Aus we're using old cars to do skids. If you can find something from '68 to '76, you'll be in mucho business for skids. I wonder if Vicegrip can work his magic on a beater in a field then drive it to your shop... 🤠

That motor needs to go in a full frame something, chief,the old roll back truck, another elco, something other than a 3 gen Camaro. I think the wrecker would be sick lol

Find an early 50s or late 40s chev pickup and build it. The engine will like a longer body and you can slam it and tuck the rear wheels well under the guards, having the heavy bumpers will also make wall taps less of an issue

I personally love the look of Toast, I would fix it or replace it with another Camaro. Even if you don't want to go that route, I wouldn't stick it in a Vic, you have the ultimate burnout Vic already.

I'm a big fan of build series, and agree with yanking the drive train and building out a new car. Something American but unique. As for toast, that wrap is so awesome it would be a shame to waste it. Gut the whole thing and take some meat out here and there to lighten it up. Then slice it right down the middle and hang the two halves facing each other on a wall in the shop. It would be a cool momento of summernats.

Brakes are no joke. This episode in particular is crazy for me to watch. Brakes are so important. Went on my first long trip to Alabama from where I love in Florida this past weekend. The only vehicle I have is my first vehicle I ever bought coincidentally is a 2002 blazer. Cheaped out of buying a brake controller thing that all the brake lines go through before they go into the master cylinder. Idk exactly what it was but couldnt be more than 400$ max... brakes were acting up going down hill then abs/brake light came on totaled my blazer on a guard rail 10 minutes away from the airbnb we rented. Got it running enough to gimp there it was late. Had my girl and daughter in the car... I will never forget always keep up with the maintenance on your vehicle especially if you know about it that autozone obd code reader is legitimate. Damned if that blazer didnt drive 80 miles as is through Alabama held oil and coolant. Transmission is done for I think though tried downshifting going downhill to slowdown wasnt enough... God and my Angel's were with me that night this past weekend please if anyone reads this always maintain your vehicle for the safety of you and your loved ones and others. Love the content cleetus. Sorry your toast well is... you know what I mean but slap that drivetrain into the blazer and send it brother! Do it for dale!

If you really wanna be funny buggers you could shoehorn that engine into a Tesla Model S and have the first dedicated Burnout Tesla. You know, for the LOLs. I liked the ICE T that Rich Rebuilds made, and I'd be curious how one you guys created would turn out. Could be a good excuse to do a collab with Rich. He likes his petrol cars as much as his EV stuff.

Don't put it in Chief...it's time to build a dedicated burn out car from the ground up...Do it right. Cleetus and Cars deserves to see what a top notch "pro built" full on burn out car will do. Don't just drop that engine in another burnt out rust bucket, put it in to something that is deserving of that amazing drivetrain.

'65 AC Cobra fiberglass body on a custom chassis with hidden reinforcements for wall taps. That engine deserves to be in a unique platform and just imagine the spectacle when the tires blow and shred the fenders. Neighbor is already the perfect Crown Vic burnout car and there are already too many trucks, mini trucks, corvettes and other "generic" burnout cars.

AMC gremlin…. Would be an amazing burnout machine… short wheel base. Funky styling, fits the channel… be a task to locate a solid one but a lot of fun to see built and running with the big block and that aerodyne scoop! The crown Vic’s nice idea as well just seems like it would be neighbours dirtier cousin or something LOL..

Not a fan of the chief idea, it's great seeing neighbor hold the crown Vic title of burnouts. I think a old C10 or other short bed hot rod would be a amazing idea for the drive train of toast.
