It's not that unusual in high power diesels to split like that. Heck, back in the day, it wasn't that unusual to see V8s split in half between the banks. First time I recall seeing an in-line four like that, though.

I think you made the right choice for you and your racing. You blew a motor, know the reason but you don't built to blow each race. Repair and figure out the e waste gate maybe go back a step to normal waste gates for a few races then add it back again.

@@wildwildcity6935 Well Cleeter and Jimmy also have a Multi-Million dollar operation unlike PFI.. Jimmy has the resources to do things right from the start whereas Jamie might have to cut a few corners. Like he said, he aint rich.

It hurts to hear he has to put it off as it would write off his season if he blew the next engine, I think collectively as viewers and subscribers we should start a go fund me or something for the WHOLE pfi team and Shane and Gordo for the incredible free content they provide and the hard work that goes into it, a couple dollars from everyone could make a huge difference and in return we get more content so it’s a win win really and out of anyone these guys deserve the money to be able to do dope ass Honda shit

He’s not putting it off. He’s getting it back together and back on the road for the rest of the week. He’s just taking the time to do it right so there’s no surprises.

I am with you a really like all the crew and yes Jamie doesn't have the best of luck but it in part is fault if he would have set a boost cut at like 50 psi this could have been avoided especially since he testing a new product (e-wastegate)and he having some trouble with it since the beginning

@@legros731 yah I agree e wastegates are not the greatest on bmw Audi and many more they have that same issue but they do the opposite keep wide open as a default setting for them for safety as far as I have seen this too been working on cars and everything for 20+ years and is one of many that are great at what we all do "break stouf and blow up engines " I know I have many times just my 2 cents put in the jar huggs keep up the great work

well he did have good luck since he came very close to that timing belt hopping then he would be out a complete engine instead of just the block shell.he was very fortunate here

I dont think he's socially awkward, he is just his own character and unique. He seems perfectly content being around the guys and not shy at all.. Whereas socially awkward people are usually tense and nervous and say random things out of anxiety, Gordo is just naturally weird, but thats perfectly okay! It's more of a pain because these are parts they are testing and this is the second time that waste Gate has cost him an engine. Time to get rid of that electric gate. Unless they want to start paying for engines. He definitely should have had a boost cut on tho.

Well if he would have had boost cuts enabled this would never have happened. That’s part of why you run good ecu’s for the safety features

The Fuel Tech ECU he is running probably has that feature and it was not set up or not being used.

Is it the same TurboSmart gate Kyle has on the MR2? He hasn’t had any issues

@@Dmanpeterson yes it the same gate and the same fueltech ecu so it's strange that Kyle setup is working fine and Jamie got only trouble with it

Do you realize how many times we've seen Jamie disassemble an entire engine in a parking lot of an event? The answer is somewhere around 4 to 6. It's clearly not incompetence, but more his prioritization of other peoples cars over his own. This leaves him to overlook his own quality controls and allows for major mishaps to occur more than not. Nothing against Jamie, it's actually a point towards him being a selfless man.
