It's just so petty. iirc froggy only trained with Sam for like a week out of basically his entire year of training just to be denied which makes it even more fucked up imo
Ethan has modeled his entire career off Howard Stern and old fans of his will remember him constantly listing him as a major influence on his sense of humor. Just like Howard he sold out his former friends and fans in order to go down a path that painted him as a better person.
They were big enough the edge Purge RU-vid did ruined their income. They switched to stay in their lifestyles. Make your own opinions but they got no appeal left for me.
Ummmm no he didn’t sell out, he just changed each and every one of his core beliefs on a dime one day at the age of 28, and his new beliefs align 100% with the corporate entity that pays his bills. It’s called “growing up”.
@@N0TYALC what you just explained is called selling out , he was 28 years old and he didn’t already grow up Ethan was in his 30s you grow up in your early 20s not mid 30s
Something I feel bad about is Ethan's wife, the clip where he says "life is too short to exercise" she looks away in pain. She used to be in the army so I think she resented that idiotic comment
The wackiest thing, wasn't one of his biggest sponsors Fansly? and he's worried about being "advertiser friendly"??? When he's accepting money from literal smut peddlers? What code of ethics is even at play here 🤔
I think the biggest frustration is how Ian doesn't outright say he resents Sam Hyde but just verbally dances around it by calling him a "loose cannon" and " not brand friendly", even though by his actions it's blatant that he doesn't like Sam and wants nothing to do with him. I dislike people that do this, those types of people are non-confrontational in your face but behind your back they plan to fuck with you.
Ian got his feelings hurt by that documentary. You can tell that he didn't expect Sam to not only realize what his intent was but completely turn it around on him. That entire documentary debacle not only painted Ian as a bad person but made him look like a gigantic idiot.
It’s passive aggressive and immature. Anisa should loan him his balls back so he can actually stand up for his beliefs once in a while even if it’s just to own up to resenting Sam
@@Kramerica962 what's crazy is that if Ian just went along with it and laughed with the joke Sam & crew had set up, then spent the rest of the week chilling like the crew wanted to, his documentary would have probably been a huge success. The opportunity was there, and Ian missed it entirely because he was too focused on trying to be the "puppet master". Pathetic and very character revealing. It's honestly sad.
It’s not just that ian and ethan exploited the edgy community’s goodwill and support to climb the rungs, but once they were on top, they yanked the ladder up and now chastise anyone that misses the ladder or tries to make another one.
THIS. Literally THIS. They did this and they were surprised when the edgy communities turned on them. Both Ian and Ethan were well-known in 2016 for partaking in the jokes and making fun of others, but it seemed like once 2019 hit they both became very sanitized and boring. The goliaths have fallen, and now we pray for the David's like Leafy to come back
You say "the edgy community" as if its a place where people can come to and leave from. No, its a level of maturity and understanding. Ethan and Ian both resided in there for a little because they were immature and lacked worldview. Now they have grown up and matured out of it, they didnt "exploit" anyone, you just havent grown up yet like they did
The world changed too. RU-vid changed. Adapt or improvise. Even Sam knows this. The only way forward is your own website like Redbar. Where you don't have to answer to anyone.
It’s really weird how different idubbbz and filthy frank departed from their edgy content. Idubbbz desperately tries to cover up his past content which backfires because of the Streisand effect while Joji moved to a completely different type of content he was passionate in and never looked back.
Idk man, Idubbz documentaries were pretty entertaining, but I miss Content Cop. Joji evolved into something incredible tbh, and while I miss Filthy Frank it was better for him
The difference being that Joji has admitted to still liking that type of humor, but just not wanting to do that type of content, which I respect. Ian attacked his own fans and said that he hates his past content and that you're a bad person if you like it, but Joji hasn't, and I respect Joji infinitely more now. Even if his music isn't my type of music, I still say more power to him and I wish the best for him going forward.
Because Joji moved on without becoming a self-righteous hypocrite who goes on Hasan Piker streams and talks about how much he’s _changed_ and how his old fans were horrible people.
@toilettube well spoken. I love Joji's sly grin when people have referenced pink guy to him. iirc another reason was because doing the dumb characters was really hard on his voice and was causing him problems
I don’t think iDubbbz is necessarily a bad person, but he’s definitely spineless, and comes off as very weak and hypocritical in this situation. Can’t say the same for Ethan Klein. Dude’s rotten to his core. My principles since 2016 have not changed, and it’s amusing to see these two clowns swap between extremes. Hyde is also an interestingly enigmatic figure. I have no strong feelings towards him, but it’s always a good day when creators get called out for ghosting Sam Hyde and anyone he interacts with. I hope Froggy is given the justice he deserves.
Being Spineless usually also comes whit being a bad person, because you dont stick to your morals and values, that is the definition of weakness, and weakness breeds contempt, and contempt creates evil, if Ian can push people under the bus to make a quick buck he does it, that is a bad person.
I’ve heard ianisa supporters unironically blaming Froggy for hanging out with Sam and then not acknowledging that Harley did the same thing. Also, their whole excuse about how it’s an inclusive event. Meanwhile her mom was height shaming froggy and saying he has brain damage. According to their rules, that would be considered ablest and heccin problematic sweaty.
@@inciniumz4671 I'm aware of the phrase you grape, I'm saying his downfall happened with such a velocity the spiraling path was indistinguishable from a straight line down.
Hi Downward Diary- Cool channel! I love your vlogs. Just a bit of advice, you may want to adjust your camera settings. There is a green tint on the video. Keep up the good work!
"They thought he was going too dismantle the entire arena" I know we're just joking but can you imagine how funny that would be to wake up the morning of the event and the entire arena has been taken apart, unscrewed, and packed up by Sam Hyde.
How has RU-vid hidden this channel from me, much love emp, excited to rejoin the lemon party Ian is a fallen Titan, it's hard to be the puppet master when you and your event grow more dull and watered down by the day
All Froggy did was make a light joke about Anisa’s OF and then her mom instigated the rest with him on Twitter. They could have at least warned or talked with him behind the scenes before canning him outright. It’s just highly unprofessional. The guy put in a lot of work for this event and it was all for charity, he deserved better.
Emp makes a good point at 6:00. The difference between Emplemon and Idubbbz, is that Emplemon has never failed to acknowledge parts of his past. He takes great pride in telling the story of his journey over, and over again. Sure this is a guy who once made an entire video ecstatically fanboying over Pokemon Go, a normie tier mobile game in 2016. In retrospect it's pretty embarrassing. Especially given his current outlook on gaming and gamers. But if anyone ever brought up that sort of thing, Emp isn't the kind of guy to ignore it, or make excuses. He is remarkably self aware and open in regards to the evolution of his online persona. Idubbbz was once the most feared man on RU-vid, the narrative was that if you crossed him, he could take you out. But now, Idubbbz is one of the easiest Targets on RU-vid. He's practically a lulcow in his own right. Idubbbz won't defend himself because he's convinced himself that he can't, or doesn't have to. You hit Emplemon and he'll fight back no matter how petty it is. You hit Idubbbz he'll just say nothing then say his feelings were hurt by some mean comments on the H3 podcast a week later. One's a man with integrity, the other is a little bitch.
It's a massive shame watching Ian go down his own spiral, however he entirely brought it on his self. All Ian had to do was go along with the simp jokes but instead he got self defensive and bullied kids, the same things he made fun of Leafy, Tana, and RiceGum for doing. And now look at him. He's been a doofus for going on 3 years now and the internet did a complete 180 and are begging for Leafy to come back, the exactly opposite of what Ian and Ethan both wanted. They made their own bed and now they have to lay in it.
@@mlalbaitero his story time video were great tho as well as his ongoing beefs with whitney the dog f ucker and darkness666. Even those emo teenagers who got the joke and went along with it. Rather than lazy, i think he got burnt out. He got lost in the sauce. Im eagerly awaiting the day he loses all his money in crypto or nfts and returns. Inshallah
After the Hyde doc the whole Anisa mastermind thing fell apart for me. It was pretty clear it was Ian's ego getting absolutely crushed. In the end he more than likely doesn't see issue with her shit because they're more alike than anyone is comfortable with admitting.
As a someone who haven't watch iDubbbzTV in a while, this whole video felt like almost dream-like, I can't believe the whole Mother thing is real, I sometimes wonder if there's gonna be a rise and fall video on Ian after this whole incident... maybe a RU-vid Geographic?
This isn't the first time H3 and Idubbbz jumped ship when the money was getting worse for them. Remember when Idubbbz was just another generic youtube gaming channel and didn't say the nword every other second? He would then jump ship to the insanely racist and edgy bandwagon Frank was stirring around that time.
ian has had the most violent shift from edgelord to brand friendly "safe edgy" economically sensible ive ever seen besides maybe H3H3, honestly quite impressive if it wasn't so pathetic
I'm just a YTPer watching a former YTPer rant about RU-vidrs. Ironically, I don't know or pay attention to who those RU-vidrs actually are, as it takes time away from other things.
This sorta topic really should get its own dedicated video on the main channel. Like, i get that some people don't want to associate with certain individuals, but this sorta last-minute blacklisting horse shit overlaps into the whole cancel culture / anti discussion.
Joji did it right, retiring the Frank character and then finding his own way. Sometimes you can still see that persona shine through. He may have left but he still enjoyed that time.
This is peak content, Lemon! Especially your description of the Harley (EMT) Vs EgoRaptor fight, in which the dark horse that Sam trained overwhelmed the sellout flip flopper Arin Hansen! God, to see Arin get what was coming to him after all the chaulk-old-ry he’s done to be noticed by Hollywood/Big Tech types is something! It’s like the perfect allegory for how all this Socially Engineered “change” is going to end up: embarrassed, disregarded, and meaningless…like EgoRaptor. Note: I love how you said the quiet parts out loud about Sam and Froggy Fresh
Time to hit the gym emp, crush ikukz and claim the crown of entertaining longform youtube videos, hear the lamentations of his woman (but don't hit that, seriously), and drive the famelic, enervated husk of his career before his very eyes.
Straight up it’s both Anisa and idubbs. She definitely has influence over him and Ian is also just awful. Her mom sucks too. I feel bad for that whole family.
Seeing EmpLemon (human) instead of EmpLemon (squid) is like seeing Daft Punk without their masks. Like yeah it's strange but it makes total sense somehow
I cant DM you on twitter so I guess I'll take a shot here. I was wondering if you could give me a source for this "break it down" audio clip of Jerma(?) from your 'Rare Items' video at the 1:00 mark?
Everyone talks about idubbbz's Tana Mongeau video because of the n word but it's the least disappointing to compare from that video to his current self. In that very same video he goes on a Lenny Brucean rant about freedom of speech and how people should toughen up instead of letting themselves get offended, instead of giving people the means to hurt them... only for him to get this pathetic because of his wife (of course, he's still pathetically responsible for what's been happening, not trying to take responsibility off of him). Man, this is such a disappointment. I still think Tana Mongeau's Content Cop was the single best video to illustrate a point about that era of youtube, but Jesus Christ how he has fallen.
It’s so apparent Ian didn’t sell out(at least not at first)he simped out He couldn’t stand losing Anisa cuz she gaslit him to believing he’d never do better so bent the knee to her every whim including the fake melons, the OF His audience rightfully mocked him for it. Dishing out what he did to so many others and he couldn’t take it Everything from that point he’s said has been nothing but projection of his old self. Ian truly got convicted he was worthless thanks to Anisa. Now he’s a changed man who’s so much bigger than the rest of us. He has no problems with his OF gf. No real man is troubled by his woman’s past or present
Does anyone have any recommends for edgy type channels like how Ian and Ethan used to be? I haven't changed as a person or politically since 2016 but it feels like the world around me has gone insane. Sam proves you can still be successful even with the added challenges of going against the mainstream. It can be done but Ian never had any integrity to begin with.
12:16 I find it funny that this person (anisa/her mother who knows, it was a burner account) is suffering NO consequences for setting ablaze this WHOLE THING.. Completely flame baited. Which is foul play. To provoke someone on such a level and then have it blow up in their face and then suffer no consequences themselves for being on the other end of it is mind blowing to me. Snake in the grass. Somebody find out WHO this person actually is, and hold them accountable for that action. How dirty. Like mother, like daughter.. Black hearted gold diggers.
Ah yes everyone who hopped on the idubbez train a little to late missed the good old days. Fall from grace fs. Sam’s the only edgy guy out there who’s not afraid to go places.
I know you don't think anisa has anything to do with how he's been acting but I think she plays a pretty significant role. People really underestimate how much a relationship can change the mind and personality, and it's supposed to be for the better but in weird cuckholdery relationships like this one it's usually for the worst, and it has been shown and proven tome and time again that she does have say and control of his assets and of course he has freewill and thinks for himself but how much of that has been influenced if not by anisa herself but the situation surrounding it all. It's crazy cause I'm seeing the same thing but in real time with my cuck roommate and his fat girlfriend lmao. Like in real time you seem them act different, believe different and leave their friends and beliefs behind.
