“It’s weird to review a game that’s not even out yet!” Proceeds to review the game without even playing the play test? What are we doing here? It has nothing to do with CS, something you could have found out if you played the game lmao. I’m keeping an open mind on this game, the play-test for not even being a beta is pretty well fleshed out. TF2 is gonna die at some point, I loved the game but it’s been well past its prime for years. All things end, get over it. They were going to move on at some point, it’s the way it goes.
It is angering to watch people we don't like make a bad product that spits in the face of the legacy we love and that afforded them the opportunity, and then be handsomely rewarded for it. And praised for it.
Blah Blah blah.. Valve is bad... blah blah.. I hate the game that I have not played yet or am the target audience for... blah blah.. because intuition. Posting hate content for engagement. i wanted to watch the entire before commenting, but I could had to set speed to 3x half way cause you kept repeating yourself for 25 minutes.
This actually inspired me to more actively seek out new information to a degree. I guess realizing I'm above the intellectual capability of a troglodite at the very least means i have a chance.
Technology is progressing. That canbot be denied. But what the technology can do for us is not progressing, its OPPressing. Think about it. Instead of a device that makes your life easier, companies now produce devices that use you to sell your behavioral data to other companies, and uses devious tactics to keep you addicted to the device.
Biggest issue is the breakdown of trust in society between individuals and for established institutions. The economic concerns are secondary issues because they can be addressed through policy change. You cannot just rebuild trust overnight. In fact, once trust is gone, it usually does not return.
Deadlock is what the MOBA genre needs for a real shake-up. Something that has inherent micro/skill expression built in the game mechanics instead of it being specific to certain characters. Even the straight up healer characters play in very unique, hybridized ways. I understand TF2 fans are salty, but I guarantee you, if TF2 pulled DOTA2 or CS2 numbers it would get regular updates.
Ugghh my neighbours have a dog that barks and lunges at me, trying to attack me in front of my own front door while I'm just unpacking stuff from my car... and when I'm sitting in my own backyard trying to relax... It also loudly wakes all the neighbours up when I get home late at night. A dog really is like a broken security alarm... I'll never understand why people take dogs, they were evolved for farms, not for cities... Got to share this somewhere just to get it off my chest because of how much it annoys me, yet there's nothing I can do about it.
There are no medals in life; no passive rewards that will forever follow you around. The only things that actually do that are apparent physical traits. So get ripped, get facial and skin surgery, etc.
Do you want a deadlock invite to find out? Not sure if you’ve tried it besides what’s been said but it’s been grossly oversimplified by people who don’t understand the genre. Having played Deadlock for an extensive amount of time I can tell you with full sincerity that it is the right step for Valve to take in the development side of things. To simplify it accurately. It is competing for DOTA level of depth but in a true 3rd person shooter. The lanes, team comps, skill/leveling system, and item buying is all there. It does it incredibly well. The biased hate is understandable but people can’t keep denying good games because of nostalgia for old games. Sometimes you gotta move on or even just go to private servers. Either way, the TF2 bot epidemic is trash and tragic. But keep in mind it is a 14+yr old game. It’s shocking it’s survived that long but that’s valve for you. Try and understand that Valve is still a software developer and they deserve the right to move on with other projects. They still monetize TF2 because people still buy keys in it. If people stopped they would eventually drop full service.
Having played the game myself as well, it sucks. Mobas and shooters are the kind of genre that just don't work together. The guns do jackshit damage and seem to mostly just be for softening up enemies for abilities, everyone starts off with too much hp (500 for most of them) and only gets more frustrating when they level up. The respawn times can be almost a minute, while this may work for mobas, it doesn't work for shooters, unless you count counter strike, but that's respawning per round and not waiting a minute. The heroes are generic and uninspired and most of them seem to be overwatch rip-offs with a different coat of paint (Kelvin is literally just male Mei design-wise). And like overwatch and other hero/moba shooters it punishes you for quitting, whether it be the usual rage quit or needing to do something else. I refuse to believe valve is making this game, it has to be a late April fools joke. If hl3 is coming out, i would suggest they cancel this esports garbage and actually get to work on making the 3rd game to the series many people have been waiting for 2 decades. The fact that valve is going around banning people for sharing videos or screenshots of the game is likely an indication that they're not confident in the game. Yes, it currently has 30k players, but that won't last long, since obviously it's just in alpha and will close some time, but the hype will likely die down since many people who hated the game before now have more of a reason to hate it.
@@d0ct0rz3d4 yikes, most of your points I and others who have played for a good while just straight up disagree with. The MOBA shooter genre works here. But to each their own. (and to clarify, its been a persistent Alpha for like months now and will be until launch. The hype is because its actually good and refreshing. Since having IceFrog in on it is imo its key to success)
@@neofreak89 I'm also assuming playing the game casually won't happen? It sounds to me like the game is going to just be an esport. As if we need more of them. I've been playing for over an hour and still haven't managed to get any kills. But at the same time it's not really worth it. Games need to stop being an esport ffs
@@d0ct0rz3d4 yes, I doubt playing casually will be a thing unless game modes are introduced down the road. People need to understand it is a MOBA first and a shooter second. That doesn’t mean it’s not a shooter though. Most people who start playing (and I’m assuming you as well) focus on fighting nonstop which gets you killed. It feeds into a cycle and you get stomped. In lane based MOBAs farming the minions and playing at advantage to buy items to win early trades are essential. The problem I see with the game atm is that everyone who goes in expecting a shooter with no depth outside of fighting are going to call it “shit” or “boring”. There’s a metric shit ton of depth already at these early stages that anyone who is a fan of MOBAs such as league or DOTA. As well as fans of arcade twitch shooters fall in love with the complexity and skill ceiling of having to aim your auto attacks and stay mobile. It’s just fun. Sorry you’re not having a good time though and I wish I could show people the true diamond in the rough it is.
Thank you for acknowledging that we boomers did not invent the work ethic. Neither did your generation invent the "money isn't everything" ethic. Don't like your job? Remember that the free market works both ways. But there is no guarantee that you can have the lifestyle you want, in the area you want, for the work you can and are willing to do. If they don't add up, something has to change.
Looks like everyone here just forgot that valve released one of the best VR games, if not the best EVER. Also that "we're not afraid of half life anymore" thing. You all will get what you want. Companies have multiple projects, they don't just sit on their asses. Even Valve.
I think you took those comments too much to heart. The game seems like its just a new moba shooter, which is an established genre, and the testers probably just wanted popular names to latch on to. Games like smite and paragon have had dedicated fans since they released, and even after paragon shut down there were a handful of fan projects attempting to keep it alive until predecessors came out. You took a game that wasn't aimed at your demographic and complained that it was being made XD
I worked construction for almost four years. During covid, I got in because it was “essential”. I even convinced myself that blue collar work was noble. I never took time off except for emergencies. When my car broke down and I asked for time off, the response I got was that it would be better if I relied on others for rides because there was too much work. It was in that moment I realized the years I dedicated to put my life on pause didn’t mean shit to my boss. I quit a few days later.
tf2 fans are entitled because there is no reason to whine about the bots if community servers already exist and have non valve have made it very clear they want nothing to do with tf2 anymore and wanna move on to other projects so it makes no sense to fix tf2
@@d0ct0rz3d4 it's not bullshit it's just how live service games work at some point you need to hand the game to the community to moderate it and move on to other things
@druss_hb if you're as cool and social ad you think you are, why tf are you here? And why so you care about getting us to "go outside "? We're gonna come back to tf2 eventually
Does the game play like a mix of all the games mentioned in his video before this? And out of ten how would you review what you played out of curiosity?
@@fortynights1513 pretty much, and of you're new to the game and don't know how to play mobas, prepare for some toxic idiot to blame you for losing. And out of 10 I would say.... 4
@@d0ct0rz3d4It didn’t sound like my kind of game regardless. Sounds like another attempt to make an online multiplayer co-op game that the company wants to make a cash cow before the community even exists.
Because tf2 in its current state is being marketed as a live service game, in spite of it's many MANY flaws, which tasteless consumers such as yourself fail to notice. It is only being held up by a handful of competitive leagues who still run 6s and highlander tournaments, a bunch of modellers on the workshop who do cosmetics for free, and sometimes a contractor. The game has stagnated in numbers for well over 8 years, the item market is inflated to hell, there are still innumerable problems with the game, some of which have been in the game for well over a decade now, and a large portion of the regular players of the game are some of the most insufferable, obnoxious and toxic people imaginable. That's why i want this game to die. I want it to stop having garbage added to it. If it's not a case of Valve not wanting anything to do with this game, it's that they don't care what they're doing, and it shows.
@@druss_hb you want this game to die? Too bad, it ain't happening, just because YOU want it to die, doesn't mean everyone else does, you're a vocal minority of killtf2 supporters whose movement has failed miserably. It seems like you guys support these billion dollar corporations being allowed to screw over people who put money into these games. Yes, i am aware of tf2's flaws, but I'm not going to stop playing or play something else just because some fucking furry told me to. We could use less of you in our community anyway. I know what your responses will be too, something like "you're a nerd for playing a 17 year old game" or "valve should shut it down cuz I don't want people to play something they're passionate about" and you're one to talk about our community being insufferable, implying moba communities are so supportive and welcoming when they're even worse.
@@druss_hband are you also gonna be supporting another bot crisis should one happen again? If you do then i have absolutely no respect for you, and maybe you weren't aware of how serious it was. People got doxxed for calling out omegatronic and the other bot hosters...
Every one of these types of videos has the caveat "well I still post certain little things..." Just quit cold turkey. These things are useless to us. You *will* get pulled back in. The only one I indulge in is RU-vid and that's because it's actually provided some actual value in my life.
Well, the smart people know that arguing online has no upside unless you make content from it. We all left and the only thing left are people who just wanna play tribalism games. Some people are left and if you are very gentle with your opinions you can talk to them, but there's more bots than ever using ai to just stir the pot and more people misinformed than ever.
This game is almost exactly like supermonday night combat but updated for modern times. This guy has nevwr played the game obviously and the people saying it is anything like over watch or counter strike could not be more wrong
@@d0ct0rz3d4 nope. so you admit it lol. Nice stalking btw. It was nice trolling a guy taking RU-vid comments seriously. This is my last reply. Go and do nothing all day but comment defending a bad game on a bad video.
@@MrDanielcool13 tf2 is a great game, why do you hate it so much? Also the video isn't bad because it has more likes than dislikes. Don't comment on this video again!
@@MrDanielcool13because more players means it must be good. The recent cod game has more players than both games, I guess that means it's the best game ever. Your logic is fucked.
This prompted me to watch The Incredibles again, and in one of the scenes I believe Elastigirl talking to her kids summarizes perfectly the mantra of OG Pixar, and I literally had to quote this: "Remember the bad guys on those shows you used to watch on Saturday mornings? Well *these* guys are not like those guys. They won't exercise restraint because you're... children. They will kill you, if they get the chance. Do not give them that chance."
