11:09 The IDW comic were started when SEGA seemingly wanted to retcon humans out of the canon. But since then in no small part thanks to the success of Sonic Frontiers marking the end of the meta era. They seem to have gone back on that decision. Hopefully they allow the return of GUN and the United Federations into the comics. I always thought that the tension from the humans and GUN letting the mobians out to dry during the events of Sonic Forces. Would make a very intriguing plot point for one of the comic stories.

Mimic's mistake is gonna be getting cocky and underestimating Silver's psychokinetic abilities, Silver was able collapse Zor's Owl Mech from the inside, and pin Zavok

Silver joining a team of fighters looking for a traitor... I'm starting to feel nostalgic and I love it.

Interesting facts when sonic and blaze run at spagonia clocktower. It's very similar that one seen sonic 1 Japanese commercial were sonic at the clocktower, and falldown by attack buzzbomber. It's a nice references there btw.

SEGA dropping the infamous “two-worlds” idea gets a thumbs up from the fans and seeing humans in the comic would rock.

It's great to see Spagonia again. BUT WHERE THE HECK ARE ALL THE HUMANS?!?! If the mobians and humans are supposed to occupy the same planet, then why haven't we seen any humans at all since the start of the comic run. I really hope they appear soon, so the fan base can finally have this question answered.

I honestly felt like "Duo" exposed himself way too quickly to feel natural. Like he was so anxious to get that kill he unintentionally made himself suspicious, especially considering he's supposed to be a cunning *assassin.* And as much as I love Sonic and Blaze's story (especially since I ship them platonically and romantically ❤) they could've easily had a side comic instead of sharing one with the Mimic storyline. But it was a good read regardless. ☺️

While the human territories being seen and some characters being referenced is ultimately a small thing, since they probably won't show up physically unless there's a good story reason to, it's nice that the continuity has been straightened out and cleaned up in that regard instead of Sega pretending that the 2 worlds thing from Sonic X and the Paramount Movies is the case in the games because "Uuuuhhhh Iizuka-san said so in that interview in 2015???" It's the little things sometimes, ya know? One of those things that makes the world feel more alive

In my head canon Night of the Werehog takes place during Sonic Unleashed.

I didnt think much of how dumb Mimic would have to be to reveal himself like that, but like... cmon bruh 💀 For those confused, what Mimic shouldve done is at least look like he is trying to save Silver, and NOT reveal his eyes. In deception, its not about disguise, its about playing a role to perfection and being convincing enough to fit in with minimal suspicion on your end. This is the comic book equivalent of 28-3 (if you know, you know). You cant let off the gas in a situation like that regardless of perceived outcomes. This fumble bouta be crazy 💀.

i did try a pepper on a sundae just for the heck of it,instantly regretted it.(sonic & blaze's relationship was always enjoyable to me whether romantic teased or just friends kinda like how i view one piece relationships.) that's super awesome they even brought lah & the ghost back as i loved marza(the animators for sonic/sega in the mid 2000's/2010's alongside the movie.)made little stories showing what they did after night of the werehog(outside sonic taking a bit longer to transform could easily happen during his world tour with chip.) that did show she knows sonic doesn't have the werehog anymore.(hope we get a story with them.:3) really loved the sonic & blaze story showing spagonia(like they went back to the humans and animals living on the same world/hope we see professor pickle .) as outside 06(other than elise giving silver a job in the sonic channel stories.)i love the humans in sonic,though with them not being involved in forces(other than being a mess that forgot it's own continuity.)/the early arcs with how tailstube had them on larger islands while sonic & friends live on the islands(explains outside eggman/the scrapped madonna we didn't see humans in the classic games.) could view it that they were guarded by g.u.n using their forces protecting the continents keeping them from stopping eggman or helping sonic out other than sending shadow's team.(considering in chronicles they were implied to have fallen after eggman took advantage of sonic disappearing for years in the cliffhanger.) rather quick for those kind of stories mimic just revealed himself easily though yeah was rather rough of lanolin not questioning duo more and like whisper having the psychic hedgehog's back.

This issue has been a nice change of pace from the others prior, we got two stories, we got some Silver and whisper moments, to see Sonic and Blaze moments, and a human city and hopefully see human characters in the future. Overall this comic is great and I love it. I would love to see how they addressed the previous story arcs and where the humans (and GUN) were in all this.

I actually started collecting "the recap volumes", you just happened to gave me the push I needed to do so, thanks man! PS: The comics that recaps 4 issues in 1, so far I got volumes 1-3 and next up: "The Metal Virus Arc" (vol. 4-9, I think)

Does anyone else get the feeling that Whisper might kill Mimic this time??? The man caused Whisper enough pain and trauma,she might go full Red Hood here.

Well my theory for the metal virus saga: for the most part this happened on one island. I mean we might be able to swing in the concept of them flying to Angel Island is what caused Angel Island to be infected, but the most part is that we only saw Sonic interact on one island. [I'm not sure they're going to reckon on forces though. Granted my personal theory of method of getting around it would be just pointing out that most of the humans were kind of trapped thanks to the mutable planet amusement park getting separated from world!]

I thought Blaze would have a fear of heights being that high

The thing about the Metal Virus saga is that we don't have a scope of how long it took the virus to spread nor how much it did. We don't know if the whole setting of the story takes place in one really big island or in a couple of them, like an archipelago. Did Eggman drop the goo once per island or a couple of times in the same island? And, is the island close to the continent or far in the middle of the ocean? Is that kind of world building that hasn't been done yet. Sure, the infected Flickys could help to spread the virus way farther into the continent but that's still speculation.

ahhh, i been being a butt on this issue but I just realized the arc being called "misadventures" is setting this up to be like mini stories. I had my expectations set up incorrectly and couldn't enjoy the stories for what they were supposed to be, doh!

I actually like the lack of human characters in the IDW series. Makes the world seem more cohesive and focused.

I knew human still exist on Sonic's world. Wish that Sega make humans reappeared in the next Sonic game. We haven't seen them since we have last seen them in Sonic Unleashed.

In Sonic Unleashed the only Animal Characters are Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Chip. Everyone else around the GLOBE are ALL HUMANS. Also, If Starline is dead, maybe Mimic can be the New Knuckles Imposter with Surge and Kit.

I keep feeling that was mimic pretending to be Whisper troll silver since in the descriptions it's implied silver goes overboard after being tricked while blaze tries to help him.

Huh, well, this was interesting, only Two Issues in on this New Main Arc and Duo is already under suspicion, I thought something like that would happen later? Honestly, for someone who would supposed to be experienced, Mimic can be very needlessly reckless, must be that Ego of his, it’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out regardless. Also, about that Issue #67 Cover, what kind of look is Surge giving Amy?

Just checked out the upcoming issues and the bad news is the issue with surge and kit won't be coming out until November, good news the issues before that Jet and his crew will be making an appearance along with the choatix as well as Cream and her family and 2 stinky guests.

I hate cassandra truth plots and the fact that Whisper is already on SIlver's side implying that she won't believe him later is...annoying. The only thing I can hope for is that, maybe, they either let Mimic stay because they're on to him and are actually keeping tabs on him until he's pushed into a corner to be trapped again, or there's an actual Duo that Mimic thought he disposed of and got his face from (since from what I remember, Mimic can only transform into people he's seen) and then THAT Duo joins the restoration.

Question, how do we know that second possible cover for the next issue isn’t Surge and Kit breaking into Restoration HQ? Also I’m all for seeing more of Blaze in these comics cause she’s my favorite character from the games.

I don't know if you've read the one shot endless summer yet. But if you have when Jewel says I just... haven't seen them in a while. They were off doing all those missions and training exercises...* The see STH issue say #63 & #64. When issue 64 isn't out yet.

Shame, I was somewhat hoping for something akin to Marvel's Thunderbolts, where Mimic fakes being a good guy, but overtime actually starts to enjoy doing some good.

I only read this issue for the one panel with Belle. I wish the writers would put her back in the spotlight and have her be more involved with Tangle and the others. I don't like this new Diamond Cutter team. In my universe, Im changing it to just Silver and Whisper. Tangle's team is Jewel and Belle while Whisper works with Silver alone. And there's no restoration either. The organization has disbanded.

I was a little put off there were two stories in one, but it was fine. The Diamond Cutters story is more interesting for me. There's more of a plot. Sonic and Blaze's story feels more like a filler. It's not bad, just weaker of the two.

The Mimic part of the story was awful why did he try to kill Silver in front of 3 witnesses? He’s not that stupid if his plan actually succeed and silver died his cover would instantly be blown he could have just waited to kill him in his sleep like he tried with Starline if he really wanted him dead also silver can fly making his plan even more stupid also where did the giant fish come from! I hate story’s that have things come out of nowhere to force the plot to happen it’s awful writing I also hate characters becoming stupid for the plot to happen
