I was in relationship fr five year with a girl..she promised me so much that she will never leave, yet in the end she cheated on me with an other boy, i still told her i will forgive her mistakes but she still ignored all my words and blocked me from all the apps, spent a lot of night crying, doubting myself.. heartbreak really changes a person no matter how strong a person is...im still not moved on yet..but im hoping i will see the sunshine soon..till then i have to keep on bear the pain. Ps: Feels good to share.. we all are different people with our diff lives..but its the same pain that brought all us together right here..don't worry every one of you will heal as the time goes. I can say that when we put that person on pedestal that's why the person feels like celebrity and treats us like trash, and this is the most painful when she rejects and ignores. But I can say that this are painful moments that builds us up instead of tearing us down. It develops in us the ability to handle with anything that happens. If she cheats in the absence of past parental issues or past trauma/personality disorders (meaning, otherwise normal/well-adjusted), it means her smv is higher than yours. The MOMENT her smv is higher and preselection is not immediately present as a buffer, hypergamistic impulses are triggered which actually present as narcissism/borderline and even bipolar disorder. He was neglectful. He ignored her, never took any interest in her work, never complimented her. He made only token gestures after she raised the problem. A bowl of cereal, a ten a penny meal out. These are standard, empty, gestures. If he had truly loved her, he would have made time for her, took a real interest in her work, complimented her, made gestures that were personal to her, and took time, thought, and effort. He did nothing.

If this were a real situation, she deserves a man who pays her attention willingly, listens to her, takes her seriously, supports her dreams, ambitions and career, compliments her, makes truly romantic, personal gestures, NOT bowls of soggy cereal, or flirting with other women at posh restaurants, and truly pulls his weight with housework, and is a thoughtful, considerate, lover, NOT a 'man' who ignores her, disregards her, makes her feel like crap about herself, and who thinks that boiling an egg, ONCE a year, or throwing a shirt in the general direction of a washing basket, ONCE a year, is enough.

It's so easy to dump someone and walk away when they outrightly cheat. But things become so confusing when our partner is low on self esteem, in depression, and seeking validation all the time. On one hand the first instinct is to stick around and help them, but it becomes exhausting over time. It's very important for both partners to have a healthy self esteem and work as a team.

Exactly.. married 8 years and she betrayed me for over a year while breadcrumbing me and Future faking with counseling. I found out from her own nephew as he couldn't stand to see his aunt treat me like shit. Kicked her out and it's only been 4 months. Karma has got her though. No family support , no real job, staying at a girlfriend's apartment and isn't even on the lease, depressed, with a suicidal daughter and another from previous relationships. No help with child support and she's turning late 30s. She had some one like me who was stable and owned house, cars etc. I'm trauma bonded but know right now that the way she discarded me and all the shit and pain she gave me especially at the end. She belongs to the streets. I rather be single then be with that TOXIC person again. Thank God and all the people who support me including her entire family.

I don't understand why is it so difficult to talk to your guy/girl if it's not healthy between you two. Where are your efforts to fix it ? If you aren't interested to continue then do the closure & move ahead in your life. I think it's about lack of intelligence/maturity/sense that you sneak out to grab some attention from other person temporarily without thinking about its implications on yourself or if your partner gets to know. Weak minds tend to do this. Well, I am a victim & justification I get is 'its harmless & we were not doing sex' from the partner. Is cheating about getting physical ?!! I gave her a chance but later couldn't resist upon the same justifications whenever we fight so I gave up & came out of it. I don't know what am gonna do next but I love myself & having faith. If he were a gentleman, he would not neglect and ignore his partner. He would make real gestures of love. A bowl of cereal, a meal out. These are standard, ten a penny, gestures, requiring no thought, time or effort. Real gestures of love are personal to the recipient, and require thought, effort, and time. I have been cheated on knowing this fact i gave him another chance and he started to take me for granted .I left that toxic relationship because I was left with that only option ..Every day was so hard for me i used to feel heavy heart and breathing problem later after one mnth i started yoga and which helped me it took almost a year to forget him but i feel i made the right choice as that toxic relationship will be damaging mine and his life..But now i have a lesson with me that choosing the right partner is the most imp thing and just dont jump into any relationship..
