Don’t make excuses. Be ready to make sacrifices. As a writer, I read this poem every day. The modern world and its fast paced systems go against the grain of ‘Art’ and the artists life. Although it can be applied to every career, he speaks of isolation, mockery and rejection. These are things that a writer or painter faces. Though when you are in the process, it is the best thing you will ever feel. Doing what you want to do, on your own terms.
