I am 89 years old and from a musical family mother, father brothers and sisters all musician ,Angelina Jordan has mesmerised me from her age of seven on Norways Got Talent singing BANG BANG, incidentally which she won, like yourself, I cannot find words that describe her gift, but two----WOW and AMAZING-------- I love her. Incidentally, I am in Maitland Australia
Mind-blowing...and she was so young when she performed this! I'm awe-struck every time I hear her sing. And reading the comments, she was singing while sick...just wow. And you're right, Omeezy...she does sing "old souls" music, which totally appeals to a very broad audience.
Ha! Some us guys that follow Angelina aren't in our 60's. We are well into our 70's. Personally, I grew up listening to rock and R&B and heavy on the blues and I still do.
Yes she was sick when she performed, but she was ready to meet this audience in Sweden in honour of swedish heroes, because singing and performing has always been the love of her life- besides her family.
Thank you continuing to feature Angelina on your channel. You may have noticed that she was struggling at times while singing. Shortly before appearing at this concert - which was in Sweden and was to honour Swedish Heroes - Angelina sung at the Nobel Peace Concert in freezing weather. The audience wrre bundled up in winter clothing but keeping to her avowal not to wear shoes while performing in public, until such time as all children had shoes to wear, she sung barefoot. wearing her usual white dress. Although she had a heater blowing warm air on her feet, it did not stop her getting a heavy cold. I understand she was advised not to perform at the Swedish concert but did not heed that advice, as she did not want to let her audience down. People close to her have said she was not satisfied with her performance. To use a hackneyed phrase "This girl is something else".
And I can see why shewould not be satisfied, because she always gives her best, and circumstances did not allow that. But I see this as one of her best performances. Because even though see was unable to perform at her usual level of excellence, she was still there giving it her all when most would not have done so. What we see is her character; she values honoring her commitments more than how her performance will be evaluated. That's a testament to her extended family, and the love and values they have given her.
Angelina was introduced to older music by her grandmother, but she sought out more on her own. Her mother said she would spend hours listening to old jazz on youtube with her tablet. She also loved to go to the local record shop and dig through all the old jazz records. The demographic of her audience is a result of a few factors. First, she is singing old classics in a way that gives them new life. And second, "old" recognizes true talent. The longer you have been around, the more singers you have in the database, so when one comes along that is this exceptional, it really stands out. And Angelina really stands out. Being under 50, I think I'm actually on the younger end of the fan base. I grew up on rock... and then metal and hiphop when those genres emerged, but there is something about Angelina's voice that just draws me in. It's unlike anything I have heard, and she makes me understand some of these older songs in a way I never did before. I have also noticed that after her AGT appearance, there are more and more young fans coming along. She really is an artist for all ages. I can't even imagine how good this would have been if she hadn't been sick. The audience is in total awe! Everyone there is going to tell everyone they meet "I was there" for this performance. Just like Bobby Thompson's home run or Gene Sarazen's double-eagle, the number of "actual" witnesses grows with time!

Ive seen your reactions to her and i feel the same as you doso with that being said I decided to hear your work Gotta say im very impressed havent listened to it all but i will and ill also turn my 31 yr old son and his homies on to it as well. She found RU-vid on iPad when she was very young, one and a half. She learned what she wanted each week and on the weekend gave a family concert. They have done a remarkable job raising a gifted yet humble human. That looked like she was in Log Cabin Studio in LA or NYC. I like your reaction. Looking up your music.
Yes she was sick, and yes technically she made some mistakes but still this is one of the best performances of her ever. That emotional attachment is unbelievable. No other 9 yo can do the same. This performance makes me feel emotional every time.

Very good point. Most of her angels [ fans ] are three, four and five times her age. People that have witnessed and experienced the greatest the world has had to offer from the forties to the present day and they have gravitated to this dream of a child that has a voice and a heart that when put together offer HOPE. If there is other life in the galaxy, Angelina is the example of humanity that we should send to represent us.

Angelina had a bad cold the day she performed this, and was advised not to sing. She said I have to sing, people are counting on me. If that's not true professionalism, I don't know what is. When I have a cold, it hurts to even talk, I can't imagine trying to sing.

I just went to see what you have reacted to not to duplicate. Joseph Howard 63 here, she is my favorite singer. Equal or better than Adele, Amy Lee and other top vocalists. Quincy Jones is right, best talent since Michael Jackson.
