I do know the last part of the Last Crusade was filmed in Jordan Petra...and I was very lucky in my youth to have seen it in all it's glory before it became more touristy. One of the most amazing, ancient rediscovered cities...Petra. It is even more amazing than the movie shows! We visited shortly after they filmed the movie because some of the locals asked if we knew Harrison Ford and crew...I wish!

Temple of Doom is the most badass, yes. But it's also the only Jones film where Indiana has a character arc. From money obsessed mercenary, to a hero who saw that some things are more important than money (the children and keeping the Sankara Stones out of evil hands). So goddamn awesome.

One of my personal favorites Indy films. I showed my GF all 4 Indiana Jones films a couple of weeks ago (she had never seen any of them before. I showed her Temple of Doom first - because it was a prequel and she liked it more than Raiders in her opinion...she really liked all 4 Indy films as do I). Movie Trivia Fact - there are hidden references to the Star Wars universe in every Indian Jones film (can you find them all?)...

Spielberg always wanted a dance number and that's why It's in beginning (also from star wars kathleen kennedy was one of the dancers), Dan akyrod is in it because of blues brothers ; spielberg is at the end of blues brothers film the tax collector eatting a egg salad sandwich. WIllie did have on a skirt, it came off in the mine cart, she falls into it and the skirt goes up and i think she took it off there. Temple of doom won oscar for best sound and light usage. that stage at elstree in england was supposed to be for return of the jedi emperor's throne rooom but didn't get used. this film was where harrison ford was in his peak of physical health etc. he hurt his back in the palace scene when he gets thrown over. watch the making of this one it's amazing how they made it.

Four questions I've always had about this movie. 1. Why were the sacrifice's arms being held high up above him? 2. Why was a Thuggee wrapping their arms around the sacrifice's neck and holding the sacrifice's head back? 3. Why did Mola Ram stare at the sacrifice's chest for a few seconds after he held his hand over it? 4. Why did Mola Ram wriggle his hand around while it was going into the sacrifice's chest? If someone knows the answers to any of my questions or all of them, please reply and let me know. Thank you very much. 😊

Yeah, I gotta say, so... everyone comes by their opinions honestly, and I won't judge (out loud anyway lol), but I thought this movie was a lot of fun. Willie didn't really bother me at all; a little whiny, but that's her character I feel like. And with Short Round- I mean who wouldn't love that kid anyway, but I feel like he especially is there for the kids who wanted to come see this movie. I'm sure kids LOVE seeing a kid like them getting to do all these adventures.

For a Saturday matinee serial-type movie, this one gets a little too dark in places, but all in all the fun is still there. "Where would they find so many bugs?" - Marc You clearly have never been to Asia 🤣 Also I wanted to answer a question you had in the previous Indiana Jones movie (archaeologist here 😊). You were wandering how hard it was when you had to consider excavating a grave, but it's not an issue for an archaeologist, because if it is it would make sense that you chose a different specialty in the discipline (ceramics, metallurgy, buildings...whatever you might think of you can specialize in). The issue depends on the land you want to dig, because you have to follow the local rules and laws, and nowadays you also need the approval of local and indigenous communities. This is why for example the tomb of the first emperor of China (the one with the clay army) hasn't been opened yet and certainly will never be (emperor = divine power = related to gods and religion), and the same thing happens in Japan and many other places in the world. I'll stop there because it's a topic I might go on about for hours 😆 Also, an archaeologist doesn't know every tradition or language wherever he goes like Indiana does 😂I know it's just a movie, and I loved them myself as a kid, but some people take it more seriously and this is how you end up with lots of students who are there for the "treasure hunting", which is the opposite of what an archaeologist should do (they usually don't last past the first or second year once they understand what they're really going to find, but still🏺).

We can thank the producer of the Bond movies for the creation of Indiana Jones because he turned Spielberg down twice to direct a Bond movie which was always a dream of his bu he was considered too young at the time. Spielberg and George Lucas went on vacation together and Lucas was worried star wars would tank in the box office so to take their minds off of their problems they created Indiana Jones as an alternative to James Bond and the scene where he is wearing the white tuxedo is a homage to Bond. People hated the character of Willie and insinuated that she only got the role because she was dating Spielberg and eventually became Mrs Spielberg. Dan Ackroyd is the man who shows them to the plane.

With all the gross stuff in it, this movie was definitely one of the top discussion topics in grade school. I was 9 when this came out. The graphic nature this movie and the movie Gremlins made the industry rethink about the rating system. As a result the PG-13 rating was created. The big fella Indy fought, that got squished in the rock crusher is the same actor Indy fought in Raiders, who got chopped up in the propeller. Pat Roach was a famous pro wrestler. It's funny you mentioned James Bond, because he actually was one of the main inspirations for the Indiana Jones character. In turn, several movies and even games were inspired by Indiana Jones. Remo Williams and Tomb Raider just to name a couple. For the parody comedy Spaceballs, one of the conditions George Lucas gave Mel Brooks, is that he couldn't dress up Lonestar like Han Solo. Instead, Brooks dressed him up like Indiana Jones. (Sneaky eh') This was filmed in Sri Lanka, China, U.S., and England. Ok. I'll shut up now.

Willie Scott has to be the most annoying character in any film ever. I liked the film but she had me grinding my teeth everytime she was on-screen. Loved the reaction. Another great one. Thank you for being so entertaining guys. Much love and appreciation.

Willie Scott isn't even close to being the most annoying character ever, have you not heard of or seen Jar Jar Binks?! (there are many which are more annoying than Willie too)

@@The-Underbaker I'd rather have Jar Jar over Willie Scott but each to their own I guess.
