The little message at the end is the reason I love watching this channel. Builds are sick and Evan literally just represents positivity. Keep it up Evan!
Hey man i just wanted to let you know that you’re an inspiration to me. You’ve helped me a bunch with your advice and I honestly owe you for everything I’ve learned from your videos. I fell even deeper in love with automotive technology thanks to you and now I’m on my way to triple major in college in a week for 3 different automotive degrees. You’re awesome man
Out all the daily advice you have given, this one by far resonates with me the most. Being a college student and having to adapt to the new restrictions and learning ways due to the ongoing pandemic had been a real challenge. There have been many times I have just wished to have the work handed to me but, now I see that praying for that work ethic can be by far a more valuable tool. Thank you! Have a great day!
I have to say I'm a big fan of a lot of your vlogs. But that analogy you used really really hit home. I've been struggling with the work ethic to finish my own builds and to kind of get out of my lazy spell I've been in. And I always would pray or hope to have this awesome finished car. Never have I ever thought about it in a way where I needed to be praying for The work ethic to get to that "sixth level". Not the first time you touched my heart, and probably won't be the last. But thank you. That helped me a lot and hopefully will help others!
Thanks Evan, right now im in a frustrating moment and well...that advice of the day hit me in the right spot, thank you for them really. Love the work you do btw ❤️
Griots engine dressing is extremely flammable for the first 20 seconds are so.(like most sprays) Use caution when spraying on recently parked car, especially with a turbo.
Evan! I've got something you can use for the daily advice part of your videos. That is, don't think of an L as a loss, think of it as a lesson. So many people including myself get so down on themselves because maybe they got fired, got rejected, or maybe started a business that failed, or something like that. So many people beat themselves up over their losses instead of learning from them and saying "ok what can I do next time and where was my mistake". If you do that, you will go far, further than you've even imagined.
Damn i just realized I've been watching since the beginning of the evo build. But im here cause I havnt watched in a while I've been catching up on my robbie ferreria but now I gotta catch up here
For the intake a suggestion the would look cool, you can have the best of both worlds, paint the main part wrinkle black and the 6 pipes leave shiny silver.
Powder Coat the Turbo compressor housing, valve covers and intake manifold all the same color. I think it makes a bay look incomplete when you leave the turbo and manifold raw metal. Also i know this is a "budget" build, but you should get it all powder coated if you can, its not expensive and is so much better than paint. Powder coating guns are also quite cheap and stupid simple to use BTW, if you wanted to give it a try.
I'm enjoying your videos on the IS300 man. I like what you have going with it. I enjoyed the heat gun tip on the wrinkle black paint. I didnt know how that was done until now.
Some got upset when I said Evan is becoming the 2J gawd, but look at this dude.... Besides the eBay kit (He was just having fun), everything is being done right. Good on ya, Senior Shanks.
Noir. TM Yeah, everything is being done right until he bends a rod at 300hp. VVTi 2JZ-GE’s are a nuclear bomb when paired with boost. Best to just swap in a GTE with the cost of building a 2JZ.
I have been watching your channel for how long I know myself lol , first time commenting an I Jus need to say I honestly love your vlogs bro #nohomo 💯🙌🏽 keep up d great content @Evan , you and wifey stay safe in this pandemic time . Most of all, I just love the great motivated , inspirational daily quotes , it’s like that’s a gift from God (meaning like God sent you to say those inspirational quotes) anyway bro keep up d great content 🇹🇹🙌🏽💯👌🏾
I think you could’ve used a patch harness to relocate the ecu and the for the throttle body I know they sell adapters for the JZ TPS the 90mm throttle body would be a bit tricky tho Can’t wait to see how this build comes out
Good luck man, really clean build I also did the na-t build in my cressida running with the ecu masters det3 piggyback and changed the headgasket to the thicker oem 2jzgte headgasket which lowers the compression and allows me to run more boost
