You and Jay make a great team! As a retired NYPD I and enjoying your adventure in my old Patel areas. I have become an avid follower of your adventures. Thanks from a 80 yr old home bound traveler.
That Kat's Deli is such a gold mine, those people must be making a fortune. The building that was leaning and looks like the building next to it is holding it up is such humorous architecture. Someone had fun with that
That was fun to watch. A plethora of great spots! And I'm certain there are more than three of us watching who have seen Basket Case. Right, movie fans?!...hello?
It’s crazy that Ladder 8 is an active fire station and they just let crowds of people walk around in there all the time. Really cool to see though. The Ghostbusters sign on the front of the building was donated to them a couple years ago and hangs there all the time now.
Want see something cool? I highly recommend the “Midnight Moment”! Every night in Times Square starting at 11:55pm to midnight almost all of the advertising screens turn into one continuous art piece! And the best part most people don’t even realize what’s going on!
ATW, I'm impressed you were able to take me to places even I, as a New Yorker haven't been before. Loved that Jay joined you as well. Happy Mother's Day to Momma Woo!
Hi Adam, I’m loving these NYC videos! I’ve been 3 times from Australia. 2008,2010&2014. Have done the tours but your vlogs are so full of facts showing us stuff we don’t even know to look for. Ghostbusters and Friends are amongst my favourites 😊
I’ve only been to NYC once, and it was a quick tour in a cab. I’d have to say it’s impressive, and I would love to go back one more time, but to actually stay long enough to see and enjoy the sites. Loved seeing the filming locations! It’s interesting that the movie companies can even find a way to film in such a busy city. I know I’ve said this before, (probably not on this channel) but we can’t judge the artist for what the person behind the artist has done. People tend to make like if you’re an actor, that you’re flawless. Actors are people too. Bill Cosby had talent. He was funny, and his show was funny. Aside from the fact that he did bad things, for which he is paying for, he left us with a couple of good tv shows (the Cosby show, and Fat Albert) as well as many great standup comedies. What I’m trying to say is don’t begrudge a good show just because someone who was in it, did something in real life, that was not acceptable to the mass audience. I’m glad you took the time to honor the Cosby Show, and had a moment on the stoop. 😊
Hey, Adam - Ghostbusters 4 will start filming in NYC very soon and Ghostbusters Day is on June 8th, so I have a feeling that the no-ghost sign at the firehouse will remain up for a while - at least through mid-June.
That is so awesome that you found the firehouse from the movie Ghostbuster in New York City ! One my favorite movie with Dan Aykroyd , Bill Murray and the rest of cast live in the firehouse!! And you're at the location where the Cosby show was filmed on NBC on t.v. !! Love ❤❤❤your traveling videos and history in theses great awesome places ! Keep up the great work! 😊😊❤❤😎💯💯🤩🤩👏👏👍👍👍
WOW, to have the honor of visiting the Ghostbusters Firehouse *&* the Huxtable house? 😃 Awesome! Freaking SWEET! :D I hope I will have the good fortune of seeing those places as well! ^_^
My late mom and her girlfriends would go to NYC on the weekends in the late 70s..We lived in New England so it was close .. She dated Dan Lauria, who was on a soap *One live to live* and later, Arnold's dad on The Wonder Years ... He'd send me Yankee gear to butter me up , since i was a Red Sox fan 😂.. Hellooo from Gatlinburg TN 🏞️🌄🐻
Perfect Strangers was lit bro! The episode where they're taking karate with the scene of Balki acting like a ninja might be the best spot ever!! "Don't be ridiculous".
Love this video! The Cosby Show was my favorite.. one of my favorite episodes was where Kenny (Bud) sang with B.B. King😂 That's also where my love for Jazz and the Blues started. Great show
Being an 80s kid my self.. (our birthdays are about a month apart) I appreciate all these sights. We actually visited Kats deli when we went to NYC in 2013. Great sandwiches! Thanks for showing us all this.
39:08 you got a nice shot of Stark Tower/Avengers Tower’s real-life placeholder AKA the MetLife Building - the whole structure and street in front of it was the main battleground for The Avengers (2012)! Loved visiting in in NY two years back, love seeing the Woo take on NYC (a crossover much needed)
Great video Adam… I appreciated the Carrie building. I am really surprised you are not a big Ghostbusters fan. One of my favorites. Loved Harold Ramis!!
Love New York ❤ thanks guys...my mom grew up on Long Island....we visited New York and Long Island when we were 5,and again in 1977,when we were 11....we saw Star Wars in a theater in Manhattan❤
Adam, really enjoyed your awesome and cool NYC video with Tampa Jay! That's cool you went to all those filming locations! Love Ghostbusters! Thank you for taking me along with you! Your sandwich looked so good. Looking forward to your next awesome vlog!
You know, you have big angels. I know that you know you have received such blessings (to go from, let's face it, van life (which has it's super cool aspects, don't get me wrong) but, to having super nice diggs on each coast and a car, and a life that affords you the ability to travel and pretty much do and see what you choose. When you gave to that fella in the Micky outfit on Hollywood Blvd the twenty, there was a man in there, perhaps a starving man, perhaps a man that just wanted to eat indoors this month, ya know. And this twenty went to homeless pets. You will continue to be blessed, for the things like this Adam that you so willingly do. (tcio! 😘)
Adam, that was Jeffrey Tambor in the photo at Katz’s that you said had been in episodes of Three’s Company! Great vlog! I was hoping Jay would be joining you! Hoping Cowbell Max will show up too!🤞🏻
I am enjoying these videos! I’ve never been to New York and it’s refreshing to see perspectives outside of Times Square, World Trade Center, and Statue of Liberty. From your perspective it was not the filthy, grimy city I expected.
Great video! I’m a native NYer, now relocated, so this NYC video and the few to come are very exciting! Katz’s deli might seem expensive but they put 2x the meat as other deli’s and the pastrami is very delicious! Loved the NYC pigeon song. 😂The best part was team Woo and Jay! You guys are so fun to watch! Can’t wait to see the rest of your videos in NYC. 🗽
Chris, Thank You so Much for sharing your Pal Mickey experience in MK, I was so impressed that Pal Mickey picked up some sensors are still around, looking forward to your future posts from other WDW parks!!🤗😊
The Cosby Show was originally filmed, just across the East River in Brooklyn at the NBC Studios and then moved to the Kaufman Studios in Astoria, Queens. Kaufman's history is long going back to the Marx Brothers. Nearby is the old Silver Cup Studios which used to be a huge bakery that has a production history of their own. Out on Long Island is the Grumman Studios that is in the old Grumman Aircraft factory that was only recently opened and is starting it's own history of production. Google 'em all to get a scope of productions. I "heart" NY, that's why I stay here. Go METS!
The name of the Prince mural artist was Dirt Cobain… love that Also Times Square at 3am is one of my favorite things. It’s empty. You can run around everywhere.
Hey, Adam! Seeing your NYC adventures makes me want to head back to the Big Apple! Haven't been to the city in five years, and the last time I did it, I was scouting filming locations for "Ghostbusters". Keep it up!
This is awesome! I live across the Hudson and even worked in the Google Building at WEBMD years ago and have never been there. You picked the best spots to go to. Thanks!
Great video!!! I love that you gave a $20 bill but then you were honest enough to tell us that you wish you had a five. 😂😂 I have been in that situation. 😂
Love the series & movie of Sex & City......when we went to NYC a few years ago, during our tour, they let us sit on the steps for a pic! Loved the Friends series too.
Another great video. Enjoyed that. I’ll now be thinking Adam visited here when i next visit. I always got a kick out of seeing the lord of the rings locations in NZ and places where Billy Connolly did his world tour of Oz. Went to Katz - was also stuffed after that pastrami feast. Loving this NY series, thank you!
Hello Adam, I loved seeing the friends building (so loved), and Ghostbuster everything (Carrie's house was nice too, also, it is sad how such a beloved show as The Cosby's had such a monster as the nice dad. I understand you had memories attached to this show, and good for you for not allowing that monster cause you to not honor your childhood memories and goal. Btw, big yahoo red check on that one! Yay! Also, a fifty for losing the Katz ticket! That's highway robbery for losing the highway robbery! (Okay, it's NYC I do get it) 🙄🙃😊 Nice sticker placements dude! Oh, btw, forgot to tell you, yesterday when you were doing the Superman locations coverage? -The big red "9" scuplture is only backwards on the Superman location side, you see. In other words, if you went around down the street and past it and looked back at it, it would read correctly! Just wanted to share. Love what you do, who you are and your show. (tcio!🤓)
The first time I went to NYC I was a little kid and I’d never seen a limousine before. I was amazed by them so my sister got normal tourist pictures at the Empire State Building and Rockefeller Center etc and I had an entire photo album of me just standing in front of different limousines. Haha.
Fun Fact on The Cosby Show: The exterior of the home was actually the brownstone facade of a private residence in Manhattan's Greenwich Village and the interior was filmed at Midwood Studios in Brooklyn and later at Kaufman Astoria Studios.
That doorway at 15:33 reminds me a lot of that under the stairs apt. doorway that was in the movie "Wait Until Dark" starring Katherine Hepburn as a blind woman. Excellent movie!
Yay I love ghostbusters. Have not been to nyc in a long time. Not sure if they still have the original Winnie the Pooh doll at the New York public library, but if they do, I would recommend seeing it
@@TheDailyWoo Hope you try Junior's if for nothing else but to SHARE a slice of cheesecake. Their roasted chicken meal is amazeballs too. Can five-finger discount an egg creme glass too - they expect it with the sit down diners.
Hi Adam 👋 good to see the Cosby show house awesome, everyone does the Ghostbusters it's good you did that too but it so common lol. Glade you have Tampa Jay with you someone to hangout with lol I know him so do you lol. You guys stay safe and take care 🙏I know him just by watching his videos, there great.👍
