In this video I share tips and tricks based on my experience of recently installing the Hepco & Becker engine guards for my Moto Guzzi V85TT Travel. I'll show what I found to work.
Note: This video is not meant to replace an instruction manual or qualified /certified mechanical information. It's simply my experiences and opinions on how to install these bars. Use this information at your own risk!

Good job. Thanks for helping other owners. I had the oem bars fitted from new when I bought my V85. Lets hope we never need to test them!

Thanks for the video. Do you noticed any vibrations afterwards?. Some say the engine get noisier when you put the bars on.

No vibrations beyond normal Guzzi engine vibrations. the OEM bars goes through the block and maybe why,don't know. So far so good. Thanks for watching!

I like these bars better than the other options so far , as a Harley rider I’m spoiled with my crash bar Highway pegs so I’m toying with the idea of installing Highway pegs on these bars if I do indeed get them . Your thoughts on the strength of these crash bars to support leg weight while riding would be much appreciated as you know how well this product is made. Also where did you order your bars from? Thanks for the fine video, I just bought my 2020 V85tt with 129 miles on it , it’s the red frame , white / yellow color with large aluminum panniers and I absolutely love this motorcycle!! I plan on doing most all service on it myself. 😁✌️🇺🇸

That's an interesting idea, putting highway pegs on the crash bars. I really have no idea if drilling into the bars would hold pegs, seems like they would as good as any bars for this bike, but that's outside of their intended use, so not sure if I would do that. If you do, send me some pictures, would love to see it. A few months ago I tried to install a Hepco & Becker pannier rack on a BMW R850R. I found out that it didn’t fit. The holes where not positioned correctly. I had to file them bigger. A fellow saw me working and told me that he had the same issue with products from Hepco & Becker. A year earlier I tried to install Hepco & Becker crash bars and also found out that they didn’t fit. My conclusion is Hepco & Becker products don’t fit and are way overpriced. My advice: get frustrated and send the rubbish back. For the price you pay for you expect a decent product. I now wonder how they holding on in a crash. I am not putting my money on it.
