Oh yes another one of you! You do realize we have pop up thunderstorms all the time in Florida. Typically we don't have cameras sitting outside in the rain recording the process 🙄
@@TKCL Ha Andrew. Thanks for observing my absence. Was a bit busy doing a project plus we lost power and internet for a day after Grace pass us about 5 miles off shore. But am great. Just a bit of concern now the covid cases is going up once again
Congratulations by now I hope you and Tiffany have had a couple of days fishing and relaxing. You are doing a good job especially while under pressure from the weather.
It is so great, both of you work so well together.Love your since of humor.Keep working ,and stay safe.Cant wait to see finished house.Great following you along during this build.
You guys are hard workers. I really enjoy watching you progress through your house build. I've only been watching for a month or so, but did a lot of binge watching of your videos. I truly enjoy all them and hope you and Tiffany complete your home.
WooHoo, look at you! You did it. Hurray, you did yourself proud. I can't imagine the relief you feel and that weight off your shoulders now that the house is wrapped. Blessings.
21:12 lmbo 😂😂😂😂 28:05 don't take it off cause once you out the stuff your wanting you can fold it back on to give it more protection on the wood house looks amazing can't wait to see what you have chosen for the siding 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Lol my favorite part, Tommy boy 🤣🤣 You guys did a good job working together. I really wish I had've had one of those hammers when I done the felt on our roof, my fingers would have thanked me tremendously lol. Once the sun an heat hits that tyvek it'll probably tighten up on its own, but I'm sure I'm a few days behind this video so you've probably already got thar solved. Well keep up the good work Andrew. Stay safe.
Andrew it really was a great video enjoyed seeing Tiffany out there helping you and as far as the window wrapping well that's how we do it here in north ga. It all looks really good. Be safe
@@TKCL Hopefully you got or are getting a few down days before starting back. It's really coming together now. Know there's plenty to do, but now you've about got mother nature at bay at least!
Andrew your RU-vid subscribers are located in many geographical locations and may not understand the pressure you and many undergo during Hurricane Season. IMHO, you have determined that your house build is priority based on serious weather threats that destroys many homes during hurricane season. I think most understand and appreciate that you prioritized securing your house vs. many other video choices. Great video of Tiffany and you working as a team.
it's a wrap!! I feel ya on those little "tacks" while laying down zee paper under matching tile covered patio; surely bent half the box in frustration!! A++ once again--folks surely can appreciate families working together!!
I hope you catch a big fish. It wrestles with you for a 1/2 hour, you land it and you enjoy every minute of it. It takes your mind off from things and then you go catch more. The house looks great. God Bless
You two did an amazing job together, the pole wrap tube was genius and the hammer thingy a great time saver. Another inspiring video. So glad Fred missed you!
That’s what you call teamwork :-) you and Tiffany work very well together:) boy we sure could use some of your rain to put out these fires here in California, this Dixie fire is unbelievable!!! I hope you both can find some time to relax, you both have been working so hard. Stay safe and dry:)
Great job Tiffany and huge progress on the house. I've been tied up on projects out here so i haven't been able to catch up so i am watching all the past vids now. You can actually install your window flashing and install the windows if you like. Nothing really stopping you from doing that. Just make sure the windows that are weather facing are sealed good on the exterior. You can check with the code but you should also be able to spray window foam sealant around the windows after installation which is something the spray foam company will recommend you do. I would still consider an "oh sh*t /tornado/hurricane room" something like your closet if its going to be the typical walk in semi large room. You can build exactly what you did outside or trim it down just a tad. The master closet as a storm room has saved a few people over here. The entire house was wiped off the foundation except the master closet which is where they hid so it's just something to consider since you are in construction. You could also trim down like they did and have 2x6 every 12in with double 3/4 plywood on inside and outside. It might be more costly than the one you built but at least we know the one you built outside is approved by FEMA so just something to think about
My two cents...I would return your stretch tape for the sills and replace it with a Liquid Flash to do your windows, doors and seal up the sheathing to foundation.
Wow man you did a good job on wrapping the house. It turned out nice for first-time doing it. I know it was very challenging with the weather. I like the hammer you was using. That's an awesome tool especially with the magnet too. That's a big help. That was awesome to see your wife helping you in the video man. Making it for awesome teamwork. Me and my wife about to become team workers with this hurricane about to hit New Orleans again. I think we got to leave tomorrow to drive my wife down to New Orleans. I just hope and pray I don't hurt my foot on this trip. You need to take yourself a break buddy and Go Fishing while I try to catch up on the video. Take it easy buddy & I hope you and Tiffany have a good weekend. Tell Tiffany I said hello and it was good seeing her in the video.
Andrew. how about a Tac staple hammer, you know the kind to install tarpaper. Then you could go back and use your nails. On the bottom of your post make a donut so the paper roll does not catch the paper......O make it out of metal. Very nice job.
Fellow tuber here boss. Been binging your Chanel for weeks. The comment about spacing was baffling me as well. So much that we double wrapped our entire addition. So confusing. And if you deep dive into the perf performance it’s a complete rabbit hole
I found that to be the case with a lot of building techniques, a bunch of opinions and a lot of different ways of doing things. At the end of the day I followed what my engineer and inspector said to do. Take care and thanks for watching.
Great video....perfect length. Some of those wrinkles will come out on there own. .....the sliding guage is for setting your exposure or lap. Can set it at 4",5" or 5 5/8"....Also the nailing pattern is basically just visibly tight and secure.
I can’t begin to know how you must feel. The sheeting project seems to have gone on with no end in sight. A lot of that has been the delays due to weather. Yet here you ate sheeting done and the building is wrapped. Congratulations. On to the next project. Really looking forward to seeing the steel go on the walls. Stay safe
The knurled round nut thing on the back of the hammer slides in or out, to set the tab reveal length for installing asphalt shingles. You hold the hammer flat on the previously laid shingle with that knurled nut touching the bottom edge of that shingle, then you slide the next shingle down from above until the shingle contacts the head of the hammer... that sets the reveal to be the same for every shingle.
Nice to hear that my deceased uncle (yes I had an uncle named Fred) decided to leave you alone. I woke up this morning and checked the weather, and the forecast was SAUNA. I hope that you are enjoying some relaxing time with a rod & real in one hand and a beer in the other, you need it.
@@TKCL By the way all your penetrations you want to make before you hang the siding. Use a flex flashing or a liquid flashing to seal around those pipes and wires. I hope those videos I sent you were helpfull.
