You may want to think about using baffles. These go between the rafters and create a gap between the roof decking and insulation. When you put up a soffet leave screened opening for air flow. This will lower the temperature of the roof tremendously.

Ceiling fan w/ light would work out real nice 🤔🤔. The red bag strapping is a genius thought. Would a paint sprayer work for painting the building ? 🤔. I like the cover for the chickies. When I was a kid ( not goat) 😂 I would go over to my cousins & we swim in a cattle water tank , so much fun as I remember. I don’t make cheese ,but that looked so scrumptious. 👍👍

Keep in mind that if you leave the plywood out in the sun it will change its color. And if there's tools or stuff on them it will make a "bleach mark" of the object. Keep them out of direct sun or cover the whole pile with a tarp or something! Nine-nine look so happy going with you for ride! Keep up the good work God bless amen. 👍☺

As the chickens get older you can give the left over whey to them - nutritious as the leftover curds and the liquid whey have extra protein & water-soluble vitamins.

'Great use for the red bags - holding up the installation.

I think a compilation video for just solar would be nice - walking through all of the parts and pieces. If someone wanted to not buy a kit (I was looking at the kits at unboundsolar) but price piecing it together. Their kits cost way less than having a solar installer come out, but even still, their mounting system is expensive, and putting my own kit together seems attractive (I was thinking unistrut for roof mounting?). Anyway - I know you're likely piecing your solar together as time goes on, but that topic stands really well on its own.

Hey guys I'm a new viewer to your channel and while I've never built an earth bag house lol I've watched a lot of others build with earth bags and I've got to give you guys props...I mean you can tell who knows what they are doing and who don't by the finish product and I've got to say while your building is not finished...looks professional It really looks good and I love your choice of roof style mixed with earth bag makes it sort of a hybrid structure but I'm sure the style roof you chose provides a lot of overhang to protect the cob even though you live in a dry area its still a smart choice and looks good with the earth bag construction Anywhoo just want to holler at you guys and say all of your hard, hard work will pay off...don't give up you're almost there

Hubby and I watch you guys all the time! We are prepping for our move back to Arizona! 🎉 We got a 1 ton with 5th wheel hitch and got the 5th wheel! We almost have everything sorted of what we are keeping and donating most of the rest that won't fit. Solar panels here and a few of the smaller battery units are here but waiting on the Bluetti 500. Looking for land currently and would love some advice about Cochise county. Would rather be in an area where other off gridders with families are at. We have an almost 10 girl and 13 boy still at home.

I did that with the insulation in my shop. Later I had to go back and vent above the insulation to prevent excess moisture build up. I used a 3 inch hole saw and 3 inch round vents that pop into the 3 inch holes. Every time I drilled a new hole moist hot air would rush out. The only other way is SIP panels.

Last week, I commented about the comfort levels of the building, not realizing that you needed to insulate and install the ceiling. Does the building feel cooler now? Is that the idea of hyperadobe shelters?
